When I was in middle school, a friend and I became weirdly obsessed with the “yeah woo” sample. We had to create songs in Mixcraft for one of our classes, and we’d always find a way to sneak the loop in. Good times
The only "computer" class my high school offered was doing outdated typing tutorials in a windowless room while the top 40 blared on the radio. This was a school that couldn't find a biology teacher so they had one of the three football coaches angrily read the textbook to a class and called it a day. There was an American history teacher who openly traded student reviews for grades so he could keep his job without ever teaching. When I found out years later that other schools had robotics clubs or creative writing classes, I was pissed.
And you know what? A lotta people would be unhappy too, yea unhappy, with not only a yeah but a woo on top of that. Sick fuckin world we live in Tone. It even has drums for Christ sake.
This is a different drum loop called the Think break from the song Think (About It) by Lyn Collins and James Brown's band. But yea 100% I hear this loop in my head randomly sometimes lol
I thought it was one of those "kid tough" noise machines until I saw the actual video. That's pretty cool that you built it! It's simplistic but very effective. Cool!
Cool i can do the sound with my throat now. I absolutely love this sample and use it in beatboxing. I also love using it in tracks that you create and sped up. Like you did with the machine here. Very impressive
@@matthewwyman1581 Maybe, a parrot that doesn't do beatboxing anymore. I quit a long time ago. It's not my thing anymore. I used it a lot in the past but it just doesn't fit me instead it was a road map for me to play an instrument more then anything. I am more of a drummer now myself.
it's funny how these clips were kind of accidentally included in the sample, it was just sort of in the way of the funky drum loop. now it's become something recognizable on its own.
I had no idea that drum sample in It Takes Two was taken from Think from way back 1972, and to be honest, it sounds funky and way ahead of its time, and 16 years later and beyond, it would be the norm sample in almost every hip hop and hip house track!
That would be funny actually! :D I might do a follow-up video where I switch out the loop and samples. I should totally use the "Jill" sample. But what should i substitute "Woo" with, in that case?
