$500 for a sampler like this is standard, The SP404 be costing that much any vintage samplers that have controls like this that you don't have to use midi instruments on to get playback will cost this much. Sounds like Chompi is gonna have a home in my studio!
Have you ever considered making this instrument hot-swappable? Since the keys are akin to that of a mechanical keyboard, giving people the ability to customize the feel of their Chompi by replacing switches would make the experience of using this keyboard a lot better. This also opens up the possibility for analog-switch support, which could add a weighted keystroke feature to the Chompi. Imo this would make the Chompi a lot more interesting to use.

This. The Bob Ross effect is in play here. This is for sure not a master's instrument, but without some basic musical horsesense all you're going to make with it is noise. Having said that, this looks like a perfect way to gain that horsesense in the first place. It's an entry level synthesizer, looks like something that'd have been right at home in 70s prog rock.

600 Dollars it says on the website
Found a link to the website somewhere. $599 for retail release. $499 for Kickstarter backers is what I've found.
@@feintcircles jesus, I get it's a lot because its a new device but man that's steep as fuck.
Yeah this is pretty incredible. I know every Lo-Fi Rapper in the world just had a heart attack. Not my favorite style in the world, but I'm happy for 'em
How am I just now hearing about this magical device? Bummed I missed the Kickstarter, will def order one later this year. Amazing!
Hello!
This is really nice!
Is it possible to edit effects on each sample, or are the effects applied after blending everything?
The FX loop in this sounds insane. Is there any possible way to run external effect modules or pedals into this thing? Regardless, looks sick and I can't wait to learn more about it. You might just have a future customer here!
What a brilliant and powerful little sampler. Beyond adorable, too. If this doesn’t get funded, then something is truly wrong with the world.
Wohooo! 🌞 So cool and cute looking piece of technic. Magic!💖
I'm pretty sure that will be too expensive for me....
Is this going to be cheap? xD
why is it presented and designed like a fisher price toy
I dig the Red means recording vibes.
Very excellent little product! A little battle station that can do it all without a screen.
For everyone complaining about the price… just keep in mind, cheap things are cheap because of slavery . Labor camps in Asia/Mexico/whatever make this seem expensive. If you stop spending your money on cheap crap you don’t need built by slaves for a few months you can save up for this. That goes for most things in your life too
slaves and/or stolen IP, trademarks, garbage materials etc.
Lol struggling to understand why everyone is freaking out over a looper
All good and fine until you realize they want $500-600 for it. It looks more like a $50 toy.
This is the DOPEST, most intentionally thought out, and most convincing add I’ve ever seen. I don’t even make music, or am even remotely apart of this world and I want one.
Looks gimmicky, which is fine, but the $500 price tag puts it in a weird spot. Who's actually going to play around with this for more than 2 weeks? Also the marketing makes me feel icky ngl
Lmao just use a sampler for free ffs
Your design is cute! I like these keycaps.
I need this so badly you guys, playing around with this is so much more intuitive than a piano and I might actually be able yo start my music career without getting bored trying to learn piano
Amazing creation! Congratulations and cheers from Córdoba, Argentina!
