Andy's been making demos for over a decade now, and he's still the best at selling pedals to me. There's just something about his playing, tone of voice, and the overall video aesthetic that just makes me dream about playing the pedal.
hey Andy great job as usual,I just wanted to say I'm glad your continuing your awesome gear demo career you are the best!, I've been with you since the beginning you have helped shape my tone thanks man.
This is turning out to be my favorite distortion pedal, going head to head with my Trogotronic p77. I the HP-2 it for synthesizers like TB-303 clones and it emits a most pleasing tone.
Same, with the aim being that *maybe* ill learn something about different kinds of pedals, but even if it doesnt interest me, still good playing so no time wasted
A lil late to the party, but as an owner of the Chuck Collins Replica, not so well as the output is cut in half due to signal overload to the pedal as far as i can tell...
Christopher Hash I’m familiar with Albini. He gives a great interview, but if I had to choose between his guitar sound and a random teenager annoying people in Guitar Center, I’d flip a coin. That’s not a figure of speech. Clearly some people enjoy what the guy does, but his appeal is more selective than you may realize. Don’t be like those Zappa fans who think everyone would love the guy if they just heard more of his work. Trust me, we’ve heard it. The more we hear, the less we like it. Don’t take it personally. I’m not saying you’re a bad person or that I hate you. I’m saying I don’t enjoy the music of some random guy neither of us has even met. It’s not WWIII. It’s just some charged particles on a substrate.
I'm not taking anything personally- you made the initial comment, i just disagreed with it. I live in the Bay Area with a HUGE alternative, independent, weirdo music scene so I don't really think you know my frame of reference. maybe it's different if you live in the country, or suburbs. maybe you're just into traditional music, or we're from different age groups- I'm 38. and dude- people LOVE Zappa, and BEEFHEART and JAZZ and many forms of music that are harder to digest. not all of us want chain restaurants and primary colors- though, those things are VERY popular. I kinda just think you're projecting man. It's cool- give Shellac at Action Park another try- blast it on some headphones and show me something that sounds like it. i'll buy you a soda.there's a reason Albini's got a waiting list of bands that want him to record them. There's a reason why Zappa is remembered, there's a reason scholars study him. Art has to be dangerous or it's business.
now i'm inspired to go write some WEIRD shit. if you're curious, my band is Naked Lights, it's on Apple music and Spotify if you wanna check out music who dudes like Zappa and Albini and Beefheart inspired.
spot mfd Yeah it's not irony. It seems like you and a lot of people get the two confused. For the life of me I don't know why or how. Either way trying to sound smart and or funny is definitely not your strength.

At least it's not crack!
I jokingly told a local classified seller that if I can find an “Andy demo” of a particular guitar pedal it’s likely to end up in my possession. 😊.

Rolling up the volume knob sounded gnarly!
Can't buy this pedal ANYWHERE! : (
there was a fish.
in the percolator.
You win the internet today for a comment left 2 years ago...well played sir👏

Andy on a Reverb video? What a time to be alive!
Reverb vids just got big time better. Playin in the grass with the big dogs
I've been through dozens of fuzzes, and this is the first video I've seen in years that has gotten me interested in adding another. Thanks Andy!
It is indescribably how much I need this in my life
This guy should be on Masterclass!
Very nice pedal & demo
It's Time For The Percolator.
Eric Sachs it's always time for the percolator
Sounds great, excellent job Andy
This Andy guy can convince me to buy anything lol I gotta stop watching these videos, but they're great.
Thank you Andy
Now I'm on a Steve Albini kick
This is some good shit
Was really hoping Andy was going to bust out with "Kerosene" or "My Black Ass".
Great Fuzz.
that is some beautiful design
4:40 Omg song name?
Well that took about 1minute. I am sold....er... buying it
Can someone please tell me what that first riff was!?!?!
What song is that
Big Duck by AC/DC
What Song does Andy open with?
Don’t give a fuck about the pedal, just here to hear you jam :)
Same, with the aim being that *maybe* ill learn something about different kinds of pedals, but even if it doesnt interest me, still good playing so no time wasted
I hope this wasn't a limited production run cause they are sold out I went to buy one today and no dice. Guess I was to late to the party
a little birdie told me more should be available in a week or 2
First song?
What that first riff was pleaseeeeee!!!
They just let him go off the leash. Pre sick man.
Fuzz devices tend to clip the signal into oblivion but this device, backed off, could dial up the harmonics of a Hiwatt type of high headroom amp.
I need Steve Albini's opinion on this percolator.
how does it sound with a pick?
Probably better but he sold them for crack!!
forreal? daaamn dude I didn't know he was a crackhead wtf!?
@@vac8846 truth hurts sometimes.
all those demos just for crack money. that's all he cares about 😢
Very good 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
sick fuzz
Cute pedal but my BLAMMO! Perkolator also makes my coffee every morning
What was that first song??
Any idea when or where these will be available?
My life goal is to learn as many riffs as Andy before I die.
Is the opening jam yours or a cover? Love it
Uncle acid?
Can you run this with land devices ep pre pedal for extra doom? please Andy!
Big Black Fuzz
He didn’t use it until Shellac.
this video also made me punch myself in the face
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Makes me slightly nauseous in a good way
Most importantly, how does it sound on bass?
That's not really a substitute for a bass demo...
A lil late to the party, but as an owner of the Chuck Collins Replica, not so well as the output is cut in half due to signal overload to the pedal as far as i can tell...
There’s a rule that if an article has a question in the title, the answer is always “no”. Same goes for TH-cam video descriptions I guess.
i don't understand your comment. Are you unfamiliar with Steve Albini? i feel like about half the guitarists I know are chasing that Shellac tone
I've bought a Fredric Effects Harmonic Perculator because I love Big Black so you can stop assuming maybe

company seems to be out of business ?
Jhs brought me here
First!
Andy working for reverb is just plain wrong. It feels like he is cheating on PGS
spot mfd PGS is shutting down.
No shit sherlock it's called irony.
That was super necessary...
Also, its called sarcasm, not irony. Irony is rain on your wedding day, or a free ride when you've already paid...
spot mfd Yeah it's not irony. It seems like you and a lot of people get the two confused. For the life of me I don't know why or how. Either way trying to sound smart and or funny is definitely not your strength.
Bad pedal, good Andy
