Why is there a DAW running on a computer in the control room? Was that the band’s choice to record to disk? AFAIK, Albini strongly prefers tape. Really curious about this!
They do anything the band wants, if they want to take the .vaw ttacks to somebody else to mix them. Steve doesn't handle the computer stuff but he's all about respecting the artist's wishes.

We asked for PT because 30 hours of improvised chaos would have been an expensive amount of tape to go through AND would have made it impossible to parse in time for mixing. The final picks were transferred to tape and mixed by Steve.

Why are band members these days so feminen? Even when they wore makeup and literally dressed like women they could still kick your ass. These guys (besides Steve) couldn't close a fridge door if a doylie was hanging off the top. I just don't understand. @ Analog tape is expensive. Im sure it was a cost saving choice.
@@mbjasondify check the „mixing Three“ video , they‘re mixing from Tape. The DAW was runnig in parallel to the tape machine while recording.
They should really just record straight to trash can.
