Amber helped her tell it in a whole new way. Great interview.

I did NOT expect this!😮 I didn't even know this podcast existed! Amanda is the $hit! I've been following her and other ex-mormons for a while now! How completely crazy that the ex-morman community has influenced so much of my thinking as of late. As a "never morman" POC, almost twice her age 😏, I'm completely flabbergasted at how these folks (ex-mormans) "Get it" in terms of the sickness of racism in a way I've never seen. They go HARD against it! Shout out to "Morman Stories Podcast", "Cults to Consciousness", "Nuancehoe"and a lot of others. I did not expect these folks to influence me so much. They think "differently". They are extremely honest and forthcoming, sometimes to a fault. Ex-mormans are some of the BEST people out there. I don't fully know how to explain it. 🤔 Also, Amanda is freaking HILARIOUS! I sent her a message a few weeks back encouraging her to do stand up. If she does it, I will fly out to wherever to support her! If you haven't been to her channel, please go there now!😂 I really care about this woman and her family and want nothing but happiness and peace for them.❤

This is such an amazing comment. My mom left the AUB (another fundamentalist Mormon cult) and married an incredible black man. She is one of the most outspoken people you will ever meet about racism and how insidious, sneaky, and harmful it is.

I absolutely love Amanda. Her story is so 🤯 to hear. The stuff she’s had to go through & come out of is amazing. She’s so incredibly strong & smart. Amber Rose is the PERFECT platform for her to be on. Everything Amber Rose stands for & fights against is what Amanda escaped. The way men treat women & the way these men can have 3-8 wives but a women is only to have ONE partner. Amber Rose is just to perfect for Amanda to tell her story too.

Came here for Amanda Rae. Love her and loved your convo together! Looking forward to more of you episodes.
Just to answer a question at 1:01 it's the Hapsburg Jaw, from the Austro Hungarian empire. Very inbred family (trying to keep property in the family plus "blood purity" - very Kingston), that resulted in the last King being very sickly, not able to procreate, and with the jaw. The jaw is not always present in inbreeding, it's just a recessive trait in their family that ends up getting passed along because there is no new, more dominant genes that would normally suppress that trait. There are many instances through royal families in history, such as hemophilia from Queen Victoria passed to her sons, grandsons (including the Tsar 's son Alexi, which resulted in the Tsarina seeking the help of Rasputin, which arguably contributed to the family's death). Normally these recessive traits are harmless (e.g blue eyes or red hair or even albinism), but there is a reason for genetic diversity throughout human history that has protected us from the more harmful things, like hemophilia or infertility, or frankly, we wouldn't exist as a species.

As creepy as you think, it is when people say you're an inspiration. Amanda, you absolutely are. You're I don't give a fuck what you tell me I'm doing what I want attitude is what even needs to adapt to!
You definitely helped me to figure out the person I was by seeing your story. Keeping being you and don't give any hates in the order a second thought. If they don't want to hell themselves, it's on them. If they feel threatened by how you've grown and what you're standing for, they need to quesiton themselves.

Amanda just brought back a memory.
At my first school dance, three boys asked me to dance. My father arrived to pick me up during the last dance. I was dancing with my friend Jamal, we were discussing how we matched, we were both super tall.
My dad was horrified and steamed. How dare I dance with a black boy? Well, he’s my friend. He’s nice. And he’s the only boy taller than me. Why wouldn’t I?
He and I remained friends for years.

I can respect at a distance where amber is in her awareness consciously but,...... until u Amber have a mind opening spiritual experinces outside of you as the person you are from the trauma inside of u energy wise, - u will stay frozen in ur mind where the ego has hijacked your brain until you decide to change ur disposition- and this only comes by a supernatural experience that's 1 on 1.

I grew up loosely religious and I do believe in god but in my late teens, around 19, 20 years old and I always had this bad feeling that I wasn’t sure that your soul leaves your body. I had pretty much convinced myself that you just die and that’s it, lights out. I almost overdosed when I was like 23 and truly that was the best thing that could have ever happened before that happened i though everyone that said stuff like this was insane but nothing can make me believe that I didn’t experience what I did. I have no doubt in my mind your soul certainly leaves your body as soon as you pass away, I had never felt peace like that, the world wasn’t resting on my shoulders anymore.. I still not super religious the experience would have turned most people super religious but I don’t feel like I have to go to church to have a relationship with god or the higher power. I do pray and I did raise my kids exactly the same way. The one thing I have against religion is that many of them have you worshiping man, false prophet just like this young lady had to go through. My oldest daughter is 20 now and I was a bit shocked when she came home from college and she said I bought myself a Bible mom. I said that’s really cool, just don’t ever change who you are do a religion, both my daughter are very pure and amazing young ladies. I’m afraid that one of my two daughters would fall for something like Mormonism, or Scientology 🫣
