Very good insight. The reason for not taking photos of public buildings is because we have been hit by terrorists multiple times so it is hard to determine genuine people from those surveilling there next target.

East African countries have similar laws. When I lived in Uganda it was similar laws. When we landed at the airport, one of my colleagues lit a cigarette outside (I've never seen cops run so fast) he had to talk his way out of going to jail.
They also feel the same way about same sex relationships (not allowed) and they are more strict with cameras/pictures. You can't just take videos and pics in public

I'm sure your colleague was craving that smoke after the flight and got the shock of his life 😂😂😂 thanx for sharing... this is good to know before going into East Africa

@lifewithlolly over pricing when I spoke English I have a typical African look...meaning...I can go anywhere on the continent and there is a particular tribe that has people who fit my description hehehe... so no I shop online but when I need something on the spot I learnt native words for 100,1000,50 and how to sat how much. I'm good now but at the beginning one bolt driver switched off the app and then charged me 10k I was like you must be tripping I gabe him a bottle of water and 25 usd and carried on with my life

Being gay is actually not Illegal in Kenya! You can only be prosecuted for having gay sex! holding hands or PDA will only make people stare. but also there is a lively gay scene in Kenya you just have to know where. love the video.

    • @lifewithlolly

Being gay is illegal, the same as a pornography, underage sex too. They are just not pursued aggressively by the authorities. There is a longer list of illegal stuff but the authorities just let things slide

@@janaert4359 The 2010 constitution is very clear,"Homosexuality is a felony per Section 162 of the Kenyan Penal Code, punishable by 14 years' imprisonment, and any sexual practices between males (termed "gross indecency") are a felony under section 165 of the same statute, punishable by 5 years' imprisonment" . Homosexuality, Bestiality, Rape, Pedophilia and Incestry are very illegal in Kenya. You can be charged and persecuted if found & proven to be engaging in any of these activities. The public might also deal with you squarely if you are seen doing such Nonsense in the streets. So tread carefully.

this is miss information. what was legalized was the rights of the people to register organizations that looks at the welfare of LGBTQ persons. Same sex marriages and association is still illegal in Kenya
