I have a couple questions. Thank you for this informative video. It’s my first time applying for a Schengen visa, I am excited and anxious.
1) I have a travel history ( UK and Qatar) but both expired in 2022 and also that passport is expired. Do I need to make photocopies of the expired visa and carry them along?
2) Why I do not want to use dummy ticket for flights is because I am afraid the ticket prices will be too high when I finally decide to book my flight after receiving my visa. Appointment is first week June, intended period of travel is August.
3) Also, my sister is sponsoring my trip, do I need to still provide my own 6 months bank statement and POF?
4) Last question, during visa application I put a date I would like to visit which coincidentally was the same period as the Olympics so I have moved my trip a bit forward and will book my flights and accommodation for the new dates, I was told when I called the France embassy that the new dates can be changed on appointment day. Hope it will not negatively affect my application?
5) I filled in the form that I needed multi-entry for 15 days however my trip has been shortened to 13 days. Hope that doesn’t render my application void?

Thank you Raimat! For a Nigerian living in the UK planning to visit Italy or France, you'll likely need to apply through TLScontact (France) or VFS (Italy). It's advisable to apply for visas at least 3 months before your intended travel date, that’s what I usually do and it has helped me thus far.

Thank you for subscribing. Even though, I believe they favor travel history to more developed countries I think you should just apply.
Again, visa approval is at the discretion of the visa officer. My advice is to put forward a strong application, especially for the proof of financial subsistence and proof of your trip i.e itineraries, flight booking and accommodation.

Hello Mohammed, if you're applying for your schengen visa through Spain using the BLS, you'd have to fill both the Spanish and English versions
The leave letter for an employee, is it the same as letter of introduction that an employer writes for the employee?
While the letter of introduction that you mentioned, is it the same as letter of explanation that I write to the embassy explaining my trip details?
The leave letter and introduction letters are totally different, please reference the checklist I included to the description box.

About those applications form you have mentioned here... These applications forms are to fill before booking the appointment? And then print them out after filling them and Carry them together with other to take documents at the embassy?
Kindly note that the entire process I explained in this video is my experience applying through BLS Nigeria for a Spanish schengen visa. And yes, you print out the forms, fill them and take along to your appointment

Yes, you will still need to provide these documents. But for proof of financial means you can either provide, your bank statement or a letter of sponsorship from another person or organization, assuming they would be funding the entire trip.
To book an appointment date, in my case I applied to Spain through the BLS visa center, but for Germany, you need to find out where you need to apply. For example, this could be the German embassy/consulate/visa centre in Nigeria.

Unfortunately, all of the schengen countries have almost the same requirements.
I am not using an agent. I tried applying to Austria for a schengen student visa. I went through VFS global but I don't see the option for students. how do I go about it? Also, how do I book accommodation?
I do not know the route for student visa application, you'd have to do some research about that. For accommodation booking, I like to use booking.com or airbnb.
For pof am self employed what will do now
As someone that is self employed, for your proof of income, you will need to provide: All original documents relating to the Company (Certificate of Incorporation or Registration, Memorandum of Articles of Association, Tax Clearance Certificate, etc.), Bank Statements of the last 6 months (personal and business).

For a single-entry visa, you can travel to multiple countries within the Schengen region as long as you haven't exited the area.

Unfortunately I don't know about this, you'd need to research online and see if anyone has done that and how they successfully did it.
My letter of employment doesn’t contain my salary amount and there is no pay slip. However, I receive my salary in my account from the company. Does this work?
Can you request for a letter of employment that contains the details of your salary? Your letter of employment should contain details about your salary
Please I need your Advice please I want to apply for Schengen visiting visa, How do I proof home ties when I am not working, I am not a student but I have rent an apartment for 1year, Can I use my apartment rent as proof ties to my home country?
For proof of home ties, it's especially dicey because of your situation (not in school, not working), but here is my advice:
1. Ensure you have a solid travel history
2. Your bank account should also have enough money to show you are financially sound
3. Please include a detailed cover letter explaining your situation, and your plans for the trip (as I mentioned in the video, you can book and include free walking tours)
4. I'm guessing using a property or investment you own would be a better choice to show your ties, but in the absence of this your rented apartment might be a good alternative.
5. You can also include volunteering activities you currently do or have done as an alternative for a full time employment.
How much is needed for proof of fund
It differs from country to country, typically between 45-150Euro for each day you will be traveling in the schengen area plus enough money to cover your return flight and show that you can fend for yourself on your return back to your home country

You can still apply, but having a travel history improves your chances of getting your visa approved. Ultimately, it depends on the strength of your application and the discretion of the visa officer.
Also, what is the hope of somebody who doesn’t have a travel history, does it mean that he will be denied visa no matter how credible his application seem?
Its just better to have some travel history, it adds more credibility to your application and gives you a better chance of getting your visa.

While having sufficient funds in your account can support your Schengen visa application, proof of income is crucial. You may include a letter of appointment indicating your salary to strengthen your case.

I'm not sure what route they took, I applied via bls online and they give you an appointment as soon as you create a profile and pay for it, after which you get ready your documents to submit to them on the appointment date, they also give you an ID which you can use to track the status of your application on their website.

Kindly check the description box for the link to the BLS website where you can get an appointment, you actually get an appointment date instantly if its available and if not you check back later, but you are only required to pay for it once you get a date and time available.
Hello sis I live in Qatar, I have Saudi Arabia entry and outing stamps on my passport pages and I have Russia visa on my passport page , I want to ask if I apply for Schengen visa will they give me the Schengen visa ?
Honestly, I don't have an idea about this but I doubt those stamps will have any implications on your schengen visa application. Kindly carry out more research on this, just to be sure.
