I've had two of these now and the number 2 button keeps messing up. I need to press it a lot harder than the other buttons to get a response which is not good for raiding haha.
The one thing I dont like is that I cant program or change the keybind for the 2 buttons under the mousewheel. Id still be using my Logitech g600 if it wasnt discontinued and cost 200$ now
Got questions. Not sure if Redragon will answer on their channel: Can you set up different macros for unlimited individual programs or games that automatically open for their respective programs when you open or switch between them? Can you set gestures or functions like "back/forward," "volume up/down," "play/pause," "minimize," or "go to task view" to buttons? And does it have mouse acceleration, or does it respond immediately? If you could answer them, it would help me greatly with my purchasing decision.
@@alexanderondar8891 If I understand your question correctly, you just export each setup as a profile, then import it whenever you want that setup running.

Looks sick. I'm not much of a gamer, but I plan on plugging in my ITX box into my 4K LG tv to play HOMM Olden Era when it comes out next year. Play the game from my chair in the living room. Do you think I'd be able to program the buttons on the side for my game instead of a keyboard for certain actions?
I've had mine for about a year, around the same time you made the review, I still love mine but it doesn't hold charge for as long as it used to for sure, I used to get about 5-7 days before needing to charge, now its almost 12-24 hours depending on how much I game, the built in battery is a bit disappointing. I wish there were mmo mice that I could place my own batteries in (AA, AAA etc)
@@mufasafalldown8401 I'm using the razer naga hyperspeed v2 and it takes one AA battery, its been a much better experience imo. It's actually considerably lighter than my red dragon m913 elite which was what I was using before
Thank you for the video. I needed to check if it is possible to change the function of the DPI buttons or not, and I can see that it is not possible :/ I had just bought the M901p-ks and I sent it back for this reason. I don't see the logic they do not allow us to change that to a macro.
It would be interesting to know/see how you use this most with DR. I've been trying to get a Logitech mouse up and running, but I've pretty much given up and am looking for an alternative. I think I've found it with this Red Dragon. You really sold it when you mentioned your application with photo and video editing. What photo editing software do you use? I use DR and Capture One. It would be interesting to see how and which functions you set the buttons up. Thanks for your input.
The functions I use most with the mouse are forward and back, and switching between desktops (Windows) and with my video editor (Darktable) I have shortcuts for trim and other basic functions. Honestly, the thing I use the most with it is the trigger button to the top right of the left click. I have set that to delete and I use it ALL THE TIME; not just with video editing. It is super weird for me when I use a computer that does not have my mouse and I actually have to press the delete key. I probably use about 6 of the 12 buttons regularly. I have found I revert back to the keyboard for a lot of things just out of habit (like copy and paste... I have that programmed in the mouse but I have been doing that with the keyboard so long that I continue out of habit).
Hey, I bought an M811 with 8 numbered keys specifically to play Guild Wars 1 more efficiently. I have the 8 keys programmed to the 8 skills, but I'm wondering if there is a way to hold one of the top buttons and change the function of the numbered keys. My goal is to use them to switch to select party members 1-8 when playing a healer, and to switch to all of the UI functions like map, inventory, skills etc... I bought it assuming that it would be possible to do, but it has been difficult to search for online. any help would be appreciated.
Hi Do the macro setting persist on each button in programmed on, even though we uninstalled the software? So it can be used with the same setting on different PCs Thanks
Hi GoTechGeek First off all Thank you very much for your review! Very helpful! I have a question maybe you will be able to help me with as my research want very fruitful. I love how this mouse is overall and I'm almost there to pull the trigger on it but I wanted to ask if you know of any mouse on the market that is similar to this one, but Silent Click? I love how wide this one is (pinky rest is a must), the programable buttons are a must also, wireless too, basically everything is perfect in this one except the lack silent click, and maybe the weight as I like them quite heavy like you although that's not paramount, but the clickity Clack on my current one Drives me f crazy as it seems to be the loudest on earth by design! sometimes I put my headphones with ANC without any music just so I can have some peace. My INPHI mouse unfortunately broke and I'm looking into something similar with programable buttons, that feature is more important to me than the silent click at the moment so I will have to stomach that (btw is this one okish or obnoxiously loud?, I'm asking someone that appreciates the silent ones) Maybe you know of something that can tingle my sweet spot?. Thank you in advance!
Currently I am using the E-YOOSO X-39 mouse. It is identical (basically) to the Redragon but it is wired and I bought it on Aliexpress for less money. www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806386683764.html Unfortunately it is still quite clicky. I have found that either you can get a VERY basic mouse that is silent, or you can get a "gaming" mouse that of course has to be obnoxious enough to be considered a gaming mouse. I am like you though... keep headphones on 24/7. That is the only solution I have found so far. Really love the mouse though. So nice to do video editing with one hand.
The software doesn't work on mac but the mouse still works and as far as I know it keeps the settings if you set it up from Windows and then use it on mac
I own the wired version of this mouse, and can program the DPI buttons with that version. I would imagine the same applies to the wireless version. EDIT: The software he uses in the video does not appear to support programming the DPI buttons. This could be software specific though. The software I have for the wired version seems to be more generic Redragon software whereas the software used in the video has branding specific to the mouse.
Hey there, thanks for your help men 🙂 I’m trying to understand something. At the end of the clip you said that there’s no Bluetooth. How can I connect it wirelessly to my Mac? Also, does it work on Mac? Thanks for your help 🙂
I have the utech smart i recommend it over the red dragon because utech comes with a plastic that looks both nicer and feels way nicer in the hand also way less sweat feeling in long sessions and its a similar price.
I have been loving this. I typically prefer wired but I am going wireless to have a super clean desk. This has been the best mouse I have ever used. If it only had the Logitech infinity scroll wheel....
I bought the mouse. It was a great purchase. It is still my mouse of choice. If Redragon is reading this though I would love to do another video if you want to send me more mice!
The Corsair is a better product, if even just for the light in the front of the button grid on the left that shows what DPI setting you are in (white/green/red), very helpful if you are a player of shooters
What mouse with the same number buttons do you think is better? and can it easily be programmed for unlimited individual programs that it switches between automatically? does it wor with gestures and functions like "play/pause," "back/forward," and "open task view," or does it only work with keyboard key macros like "CTRL X?"

Came down to the comments to say the exact same thing. On all my g600s that's been my tab forward and backwards, been using it that way for years.
I'm using G604. Waiting for a v2...
This is probably the best cheaper alternative over the g600
I loved the g600, but not $250 love
