Goose is quickly becoming one of my favorite bands. Keep it up guys . This crazy quarantine is bearable because of the amazing content you guys keep posting. GOOOOOOOOSE!!!!!!!
@@adamf.4823 Name is Rick. I was in a band with his uncle and he was always around as a kid with his guitar, catching every lick he could. So happy he's at this level, his uncle would be so damn proud!!!
Yes but I mis the Modulus sound. It may just be the recordings but the new bass doesn't cut as much. I'm sure it will sound better live when the pestilence is gone. Just have to have faith.
i love, when Michael is listening to a song, really into it, and reaches out to stop the video to try and figure out what they are doing, and there is a sudden arm pause, and it slowly retracts to his side. like "not this time, gotta ride thru this moment". the life of a jam band junkie.
as a guitarists, when somebody goes off like that and taps into another realm all I can say is "that was an awesome ride" because that is what it is. you no longer have control and he is the pilot on this final cruise, please fasten your seat belts and enjoy. . . .
Don't know how you ended up in my feed, but non stop jams I've been turned onto from your channel tonight. Been awhile since I listened to much jamband music... pretty well since phish in 04... glad to see goose is carrying that torch so well. You earned a sub. They earned a sub. Appreciate you sir and your love of the music.
About time! Thanks for doing some GOOOOSE. Love these reaction videos. Great to see how you figure out songs and then break them down into useful theory. One of the things I love about this band is their dynamics. The way they go from a funky laid back groove in the verses to epic soaring solos. The jams keep going higher and higher. Everytime you think it'll stop they go more. And they move together as a band while doing it (as you mentioned). I haven't listened to any other bands that can do this as consistently and as well as Goose.
Man, been needing to check these guys out. Very impressed. They do a great version of Mississippi half step uptown toodeloo in this set too. Killer musicians and song writing.
OMG Michael your facial expressions are priceless! I love this band and your dissection of this song is so captivating even though I'm not a musician. You would be so fun to hang out with and to listen. Love your energy!
I have never heard them before. These guys are great!! That s what I like about this channel. I get to hear bands and soloists that I am not familiar with and am always wanting to hear something new.
I have been following GOOOOOOOOOOOSE for about 6 months now, and got to see them in Charleston at the beginning of May 2021. They did NOT disappoint. So glad you reviewed this performance of Arcadia. Your reaction was priceless! Probably the same as everyone who first hears them. And, it was super cool that you got to interview them when they performed in Maryland.
Caught them last Friday at South Farms outstanding show...locked in as a lifetime fan Im excited to progress as a player with these guys! Michael these videos are outstanding thank you for this!
You know its almost as fun watching you geek out to it as it is listening to them. I find myself enjoying it more when I can enjoy it with someone else. Your breakdowns really help make sense of how the composition comes together. I rarely subscribe to a channel, if at all. You are the man. Keep it coming!
You’re going to get easily 50 views out of me trying to put everything together that you’re talking about in this video. This band fascinates me and I’m so glad to finally get an explanation from you on one of their songs!

Thanks so much for Reacting to GOOOOOSE!!!! Ive been one of the guys asking for a reaction from them and particularly this track too, you rock man! The only band left to do is Greensky Bluegrass!
I love this. Everything I've always heard in these solos expressed in words I don't have but everything in my experience as a listener lining up EXACTLY with your explanation. His solos SOAR.
This track, and so many others, have such a strong Little Feat feel to them.. I really want to hear them add that to their amazing sets. These guys are so fantastic!
Their own space, like the masters, Phish. Dynamics! Impossible to teach. These guys have it. They listen to each other. Long time since ‘91 phish phan telling you these guys are legit! 🔥
Same feeling as you. Been a massive phishhead since '96 and Goose gives me "those vibes". Been a long time since a jamband excited me like 90s Phish. Too long. The torch is being passed imo.
You should probably just do a watch along with the rest of the alive and well live album! I’m sure coach and the rest of goose would love it! Rick is the next guitar god

@@TheBaron81087 The Grove stage? Yeah, it's usually pretty small there. I've some really cool bands there, though! Midnight North with Phil Lesh's son Graeme was amazing a couple years ago, among others.
I've listened to well over 100 hours of GOOSE over the past year and absolutely love their stuff. Check out their many TH-cam vids to taste their candy.
Would love to see you sit in with some of these bands when they start touring again. I feel like a ton of people are loving off your jam band videos during quarantine
YES, THIS 100% THIS. THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN. I can already see it lining up, like I'm seeing the future. I think Brother Michael here just stumbled into the jamband career he didn't know he wanted. God really is good.
Now you're hooked Michael!! These guys have been doing big things and will continue to do so. Rich (Snakes) lead guitar, Peter (Handini) keys/guitar, Trevor (Tweekz) bass, Ben (Spuds) drums. It is really fascinating listening to someone with your guitar expertise geek out over their style and sound. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE!!!!
I’m late to this video and I admit that life happened and my jam band show days ended with Phish, WSP, String Cheese, Umphrey’s, P.Groove, and moe., so I’m just now finding out about these guys. But dude, this band is straight 🔥 I’m down....GOOOOOOOSE!!
I love that reaction at the end before he knew that Rick was an actual godly guitar player and master of the peak. Seeing the jaw drop was priceless. Now I'm not sure if Goose will add all the songs needed and evolve into a top band out there, but when they go after the peaks, no one does it better right now. One difference from Phish, who is clearly an inspiration here, is they peak into repeating riffs rather than single high notes that Trey likes to do. It allows Rick to circle back easily to peak after peal because he is simply a master. Now it is not always perfect, but when it is, it's total bliss.
