Goose is so epic. Started listening to them and haven’t been able to stop listening years later. They’re literally the best… not sure how they’re still under the radar. Good to see Bert pump them up.
At 57 years old, Goose is also my favorite band. Saw them last weekend in Cincinnati and it was the best sounding concert I've ever been to, no lie. It's so rare that a live sound can be THAT danged good. They're just exceptionally talented guys.
I'm from the UK and have never heard of Goose before, but I'm literally balling my eyes out - SOBBING - watching Bert cry to this beautiful band's music. I am BROKEN.
I listened to this podcast while flying from Newark, NJ to Raleigh, NC. It was a clear night and we flew right along the NJ coastline from Newark to Cape May. Over Delaware, Maryland, Virginia. One of my favorite flights ever. Now circling back to see the video - shoutout Bert, shoutout GOOOOOOOSE
I feel ya Bert! The wife and i celebrated 4yrs sober from drugs and thc everything by dosing lsd and going to see Goose during Peach festival. Was amazing I nearly cried dancing that summer of 23 lol
I’m a huge Goose fan. Was at the show at the Riv in Chicago when Bert brought them up. I was so confused at first and then I saw the belly. I like that Bert is trying to spread the Goose word.
@@frankiearcher7488they play it live every once in awhile, played it at Red Rocks in 2023 so I’m guessing that’s why Bert may have requested it since he was there
So I'm revisiting this episode because after I first watched it the day it came out, I became a fan of Goose. Thank you Bert for expanding my musical world. Slow Ready is a really good song but I love Arcadia. Love me some Somethings Burning.
Attended 2 Goose shows in MN. 1st show at the Palace, 2nd at the Armory! At the Armory gig, When the lights came on after they left the stage, I cried! Cried with a soul fulfilled with the sound of Goose!
Bert, words can’t express how much this video made my heart happy. I’m 49, and have been a big of yours and of Goose since about 2018 when I discovered them. Seeing that you’re at least as big a fan of them as I am was so cool. I’ve tried to turn so many people on to this incredible band, but sadly very few have stuck. They have been my favorite band for the past couple years now and it makes me very happy to see how they rose to prominence in the jam band industry. Loved seeing them jam out acoustic in your kitchen. I would have geeked out just like you. I totally get it, bro 👊
A private Goose concert in the kitchen...Bert probably can die happy now. Missed having Jeff here...I'm sure he would have dropped some great zingers. Still a solid interview! I saw Cotter's first show with Goose back in April...and he came zooming out of the gate. This band is the real deal.
You know what I love about you, Bert? You live in the present. You appreciate what's happening in front of you AT THAT MOMENT. You feel your feelings, not afraid to show em, because you live in your moment. That's why you're so grateful for every day and every experience. Your soul is so sweet.
Sweet Bert. Love you bro. I'm right there with you. Men don't talk about those moments with family. There aren't words. We are lucky to have families that can deal with this intensity.
Saw Goose this summer for the first time, been listening for a few years. Such and amazing live show. I got tickets for 2 night in Cincy in Nov, counting the days
Well done to both Bert and Goose! Seeing Bert get choked up was just an example of what music can do for the human soul! Loved it! Keep on rockin, gents!
This was fun in every way! I feel ya, Bert! Goose is Fiyo!🫶🪿🎶 I kept expecting Jeff to come out in a bathrobe and grab a beer out of the fridge and walk back out of the room..😂
I feel the same way Bert does about these guys. It's crazy how talented musicians can evoke such joy and emotion from those who are truly into them. I get the same way listening to John Prine, Billy Strings, Phish, and the Dead back in the day... I'm 55 and have been on this Goose kick for a few years now. Incredible musicians, humble, smart, funny and they deserve all the success coming their way. Good on Bert for introducing Goose to his fans this way. Loved the acoustic Arcadia...
Guster is awesome!! Been a fan for 19 years and they’re so instrumentally and lyrically talented - I’ve seen them many times. Just started listening to Goose within the last month, and they quickly have become one of my favorites. I definitely agree Goose fans may like Guster and vice versa.
This dynamic is very odd. This feels like when a cute young intern gets hit on by a CEO with massive power and influence. "Don't offend him, be friendly, pray he doesn't try to take your clothes off, maybe he's just nice"
I'm happy for Goose and that Burt found out our music exists through this amazing band but we are all( my ppl, the one that always been out there!) are going to get hammered w musheen types like a dragon shit in our punch owl of your!
I went and checked these guys out and I gotta say I'm a fan now! I get why Bert is always talking about them. AMAZING band! P.S. Bert, I know you don't read these, but the way your family looks at you when you're crying and having the time of your life is so freaking sweet and surprisingly rare, friend! I hope you always cherish them, because they're so freaking special.
I'm loving this setup he has here now and on his podcast with artists and acoustic sets...and watching Bert fan boy out like a little kid brings a smile to my face. (and Bert's laugh)

What an absolute legendary night it was and I know we will look back one day and say that was a huge moment in their history. Thank you for introducing them to your audience
I’m so grateful to have seen that show at The Mann on 6/28/24. I was there with my GF and two of my best buddies. Got to see them open the fall tour in NJ the other night and was so happy to be surrounded by people who love this band too. I think as long as they grow organically, as cotter said, then that’ll bring the love too. We want them to blow up because we want to share them with everyone, so that we can share in the same experience at the shows together!
