Ah yes. This brings back memories. My first video that got me into fgo and helped me to min max my farming set ups. Great to see you made a better and more updated set up for this new age we're in.
Ayyy i just wanna say thank you for all the fgo video guide that you've made.... it really helped me through, especially during my newbie year. It's been 2 Years since then and i'm still enjoying this game to the fullest :D
Ayy your budget farming video was what helped me to start farming when I reached Camelot and needed to actually know what I was supposed to be doing due to the difficulty spike. Nice to see the new and improved budget video
Something that can help with Arash's damage is to move Castoria to the frontline and move Lu Bu to the backline. Castoria's first skill gives a 20% attack up in addition to 30% charge, which is enough for Arash to clear anything that isn't a lancer. For lancers, I'll typically use the extra attack buff from my mystic code on Arash instead of saving it until turn 3. Of course, as a tradeoff, you need to make up the charge requirements for your ST Berserker, since Castoria will only have 20% left for them. Personally, I've been using Heracles with a K-scope, but the other options you went over for getting extra charge also apply here, along with possibly using Waver instead of Castoria, as he can give Arash the same attack buff, and has 30% charge left over for the ST Berserker. And/or using a single target servant who has a charge skill themselves, i.e. Bedivere or Billy the Kid.
Yo I've been around since the original f2p video you made. I saw it when I was still new and confused with the game. It's nice to see how far I've gotten since then and how much you have improved in terms of quality videos. Keep it up bro 🙏
Thanks man just started a few days ago and will try to get that team cause farming really can get tedious lul. Is it a better idea to farm the ressources for the skill levels in events or in specific story nodes?
You're very welcome, and good question. Unfortunately, there's not really a consistent answer. Sometimes event quests will have better drop rates than are available in the story free quests, sometimes not. The only way to tell for sure will be to go to an online wiki and check. Generally, I don't like farming for material drops and avoid it whenever I can. I get most of my materials from event shops, which takes the RNG out of farming. But it can also mean that I can be waiting a while for an event to come along that has the materials I need in the right amounts, so it can slow down my progression. I'm willing to make that compromise for my own sanity, but if you're not, I totally get it. I have another video about the FGO gamepress wiki. That site will have data on free quest drop rates and similar data for events when they come out for material farming. Happy hunting, and welcome to FGO!
@@ethandupras Thanks for the long answer and the tips! I think I will try to farm the skills for my favourite servants for now ( Ushi/artoria) but other than that I will just get embers/ascension materials cause even the first first few nodes of Camelot very hard right now lul. But Im very excited how difficult it will be.
Noble friend, after seeing your guide I started using this team (with the exception of Lu Bu, because I haven't learned how to use him yet) to first level up this same team, and then farm for other characters. What do you think?
Lu Bu is a very straightforward servant. In this case, you just charge his NP to 100% with your support servant, use your Mystic Code damage buff on him if you have one, use his damage buff skills, then use his NP to kill the boss in the third wave. Sounds to me like you're on the right track. Once you've got the members of your farming team leveled, farming exp for other servants will get much faster. And if you need anything, I'm easy to contact, so let me know!
Amazing guide, i'm a new player, any advice will be appreciated. I love this game so much yet at the same time this game frustrates me. My biggest problem is the ascension materials. Just finished Camelot yesterday, i used all of my Pure Prism to get ascension materials to max out my Servants that suitable to beat Gawain, Goddes Rhongomyniad, etc. I'm struggling SO MUCH to beat that singularity. i have at least one 4* servant for each MAIN class, all of them are at max ascension yet none of them seems good. Later on i discovered that perhaps the problem was because their skills are at low levels (The highest level rn is around level 4, and most of my servants skills are on level 2/3). Why? because of ascension materials. I grind the hell out of the Training Grounds, yet the drop rate doesn't do me any favor either. For example, i only need 1 claw of chaos left... and guess what, I burn like 3 golden apples just to get ONE Claw of chaos on the Berserker Advanced Training Ground (Has the highest Claw drop rate at this moment in my level). I was like, OK this is absolutely not worth it at all. Not just claw of chaos, almost every ascension materials that i need are very very very hard to obtain, and the better grinding spots are only available on Lostbelt, which is still far beyond. I even struggling so hard just to get ONE low rarity materials such as seed of yggdrassil. Personally, i'm okay with grinding, but the problem is, it cost TONS of AP and the drop rate are stupidly so damn low, like... OH MY GOD you have no idea how salty i am rn :) Well, that's pretty much it, i bet the next Singularity will have another TONS of bullshit enemy with bullshit buff and twist, They probably can do AOE NP with insta death-ignoring invulnerability or some kind of shit. Probably i will be stuck grinding for eternity, hoping to get at least ONE silver ascension material with a cost of 3 golden apples/3 saint quartz each. So that i can level up the suitable servants and move on to another chapter. Pardon me, but at this moments i'm just realy realy mad about the mechanics in this game.
Hey pal, glad to hear the guide helped a little! IMO, far and away the easiest method to get materials is from the limited time events that are usually running all the time. Grinding free quests is a crapshoot like you've seen, and grinding training ground quests for materials other than pieces/monuments/skill gems is not really worth it. But during events, every quest you clear drops event currency, which you can then use to buy materials from the event shop. Plus, you get to keep whatever drops you get from the quests as well. Of course, not every event has every type of item, and you can only buy so many from any one event (usually between 20-50 of each type of item on offer), but because your rewards are at least guaranteed through the event currency, I think being patient and waiting for a good event is often the way to go. As for skills, usually 6/6/6 is plenty strong, unless it's a servant you're using all the time. Camelot is really the only singularity with that level of nonsense in the boss fights, the subsequent chapter bosses will have more hp and damage, but fewer gimmicky buffs and whatnot. If you have discord, shoot me a message, I'm happy to talk in more about any of this or other topics to help you smooth out this early phase.
@@ethandupras the fourth one, got summer BB and Diarmuid saber, I'm lacking in sabers so Diarmuid was one of the servants I was hoping to get,BB I won't lie she wasn't on my most wanted list(the top being Arjuna Alter or kama) I'll probably come around to appreciate her tho. Would you have been satisfied if this is what you got?
Your new Saber is quite good. B.B is a really interesting servant. She gets class advantage against Avengers. You don't fight avengers very often, so that doesn't seem super useful. However, on the rare occasions that you do, they're highly dangerous and it's good to have her to carry you through those fights. She's one of only a couple Mooncancer servants, and they're not always easy to find on the support list (and for now, she's the only real DPS in the class). If you can supplement her with a crit buffer like Merlin or Waver, her crits can be devastating, even against neutral classes. And her card freeze skill can be used to make gimmick teams that can pull off some very cool shenanigans. Overall, she's rather niche and tricky to use, she requires more thought than most servants. But if you can put in the effort, she'll reward it.
Welcome to FGO, I hope you enjoy your time with the game! The first time I go through an event free quest, I usually make a normal team and play the quest regularly to see what the enemy layout looks like. For example, lots of event quests will throw a mini-boss at you on the second rather than third wave, or at least this used to be fairly common, and an exact replica of this team wouldn't be able to deal with that very well. Arash can usually handle most 1st waves in the game, but ideally you'd want to replace Spartacus and Lu Bu/Kiyohime with class-advantaged servants, as they will out-damage the berserkers, and for event free quests with higher HP totals, the extra damage will be important. If you do replace anyone, you'll just have to do the same kind of simple math to make sure that you've got the right setup for them all to reach 100% NP, between their CE, support NP charger servant, mystic code buffs, their own skills, etc. Does that help?
Hi great video, but I have a question, I'm quite new in the game, but I literally have my Arash and Spartacus at the same lv as yours but mines have like 1k less atk. Why is that? I did something wrong when I level them up? I'm using similars CE on both. but I still having issues with their dmg. Probably some time in September. If you really want to, you could use a few now, but if I were you, I don't think I'd burn the whole supply.
