Very happy to help, thank you for watching! If it might interest you, I've also got a video up about the best low rarity units in each class who are most worth investing in. And if you're looking, my follow code in the description of the video will let you use my support list during part 1 story quests!
@@ethandupras Oh yeah, I've watched that already so I know what to look forward for from FP gacha. Just in time for the upcoming Gilfest and all the FP from the boxes. And thanks for the offer, I'll keep it in mind.
I managed to get my setup in a week, thanks to your guide and the current Christmas event, i even paligenesis Arash just cuz he deserves it. Best boy imo
Paracelsus is a great F2P Caster with an 80% charge, teamwide Arts buff, and targeted NP gain + Guts. He's also widely used in advanced farming comps. Probably the number one farming Servant I wish I'd levelled earlier! Oh, and any NP charge skill that scales (most do--check if there are [Lv X] brackets in the description after "charges NP") are worth maxing.
Well, I just need to farm the old (bad) way until I can level up Arash and Spartacus. This has been very useful, I thank you for showing this strategy. I played this game for over a year (lost an account) and i'm still pretty bad at it, not knowing basic stuff like this.
Glad to hear this was helpful! And don't beat yourself up, I stubbornly did slow farming for a long time too, had to see someone else speed farming before I even realized how much time I was wasting. Let me know how else I can help you improve your experience in the game!
I just started FGO. Tbh I though I'd lose motivation due to how overwhelming building teams can be, but I've been keeping pretty steady. I've been building my farming team in time for Summer 4.
You can add a Shakespear to this party. Use Chaldea Battle Suit with Order Change skill. This suit can provide damage boost unlike the one you use in this video. And Shakespear can add more damage by his Enchant skill (first skill). His targeted battery will charge with 20% on all levels from 1 to 10. However, farming like this will take more time and you give up one of the slots you use to bond farm. But this comp has more damage, so you'll be able to farm harder quests.
Me personally, I use my grailed Helena (lvl90) who has her skills maxed, and have her and another servant with with Kaleidoscope, as well as a friend berserker who has it. Basically using Helena’s 1st skill fills everyone’s gauges and then using her other skills I don’t have to worry about people not doing enough damage to clear the wave. Hell if Helena’s self NP buff procs (I think it’s like 80%ish) she can clear even waves with rider pieces. In the off chance it doesn’t, I try to have the other servants clean up the rest. But yeah obtaining Helena, and two Kaleidoscopes isn’t the easiest for people. Still wish I saw something like this video when I first started playing years ago. I honestly never saw the potential in lower stared servants like Arash until I had methods that can out perform him. Still though this video is great for anyone starting out
Thanks so much for this video!!! Definitely opened my eye that it doesn't need 7-9 turns to farm 9 embers every time.Though sadly I've been doing that for a while and need to get this little mindset of 'having SSRs are always the best' and stuff. Do you maybe have any tips for getting ascension materials like octuplet crystals and others? I've been using way too much for other servants that I think are unnecessary (as of now), and apparently lacking for both Spartacus and Arash.
You're very welcome, happy to have helped! As for your question, I'm going to take the "teach someone to fish" approach and tell you to go to the gamepress wiki for FGO and bookmark it. Use the search bar, type in the name of any material you need, and it'll pull up a list of every map where it can be farmed, sorted by AP efficiency! That wiki has tons of other helpful resources for you to take advantage of too, so getting to know the site will serve you really well
Is there maybe another way to get ascension materials other than grinding it based on the wiki? I've been grinding for a while and didn't even get a single material and could've used the AP to farm more embers.
Technically yes, there are other ways. Your daily login will net you one item selected from three options. Items can be purchased through event shops, but of course only when an event is ongoing and the item you need happens to be part of the shop. And finally, completing main story nodes will reward a small amount of a pre-determined item along with a single Saint Quartz. And that's every way that I can think of. If you'd rather try to get more embers or advance through more of the story, by all means, the grinding nodes will still be there when you're done!
For the Support Servant, do you need to specifically have El-Mlloi? Also, the CE for Kiyohime doesn't matter, right, it's just the CE for Arash and Spartacus that need to be 50+% NP Gain? P.S You did a genuinely great job on this guide, usually, people see these really small channels and assume the quality will be terrible, but you were clear, concise and easy to understand, even for someone who's not at all familiar with the meta-language in most of the guides you see concerning stuff like this. Keep it up!
Assuming minimal requirements everywhere else, yes, Waver is necessary. His skills give 10% NP charge to all active characters, then another 10%, again to all characters, then 30% to one character. This amount of on-demand party-wide NP charging is unique to him across the whole game. And if all characters are starting at only 50%, we'll need every bit of that. There are other support servants you could use if you have much nicer craft essences. For example, Merlin charges the entire party's guages by 20%, so if you had the craft essence called Kaleidoscope that begins a character with 80%, you could use him instead. The basic concept or formula for making any 3-turn farming team is: Starting NP guage from CE + Servant's own NP charge skills + incoming charge from the Mystic Code + incoming charge from our support servant = 100%. And as long as you can make that formula get to 100% for all three characters (and the units have enough damage to clear the wave) you'll be OK. So, for Kiyohime, we see that she doesn't have an NP charge skill and the mystic code skill was already used up, making those two variables 0. But she'll get the full benefit of all three of Waver's skills, which will get her to 50%. Thus, like the other two, she will need a CE that starts her at 50% in order to get to 100% without any normal cards. Let me know if you have any further questions, I know I just threw a lot of info at you. Thank you very much, I'm happy to hear that!
So say for my 3 CE's I have Partake with the King (50% NP Charge) for Kiyohime, Dragon's Meridian(50% NP Charge) for Arash and The Imaginary Element(60% NP Charge) for Spartacus, presuming I have Waver, it should be fine because they're all 50%+, right?
Another question, do I ABSOLUTELY HAVE to have Arash's Arrow Construction Skill and Spartacus' Unyielding Will skill upgraded all the way up to 10? I don't have any crystallised Lore's in my inventory, so would lvl 9 of both these skills be ok?
The amount of NP gained is based on the skill's level. At level 9, Arash and Spartacus will gain 28% and 26% respectively, meaning they won't be at 100% unless you take normal turns and use their arts cards. If you can't get the skill to level 10 but still want to 3-turn clear the level, the only other real option is to have nicer craft essences. Two Imaginary Element CEs (one for Spartacus and one for Arash) means you could pull this off with both skills at level 1. Alternatively, you if you had your own Waver, you could switch to the combat uniform mystic code and use a double Waver setup to compensate instead.
I've been LITERALLY farming for 8 turns daily to get embers without knowing that you can 3 turn everything for like two years now. Please kill me. Luckily a friend told me that I don't have to farm that long and sent me this video. Thank you very much
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about the years spent on inefficient farming, I've been there myself. Please pass on my thanks to your friend for sharing my video around, and I'm really glad if the advice therein could help speed things along for you going forward!
Thank you for this been binging videos I have archer emiya and the alter okita or whatever her name is and Siegfried leveling all of them took forever lol
You'll be farming embers until day you quit the game, more or less, so yeah, I'd suggest making that aspect as quick and painless as possible sooner rather than later
Yes, anything should do the trick. CEs that buff damage or have boosts to ATK stats are the most preferable, but if your units are fully leveled, fou'd, and have high enough skill levels, you should be fine with anything. You're welcome and thank you for watching!
hey I don't know if you'll read this or not, but I recently started fgo and I am working on my first 3t farming team. I just finished ascending my arash and getting his skills to 1/1/6 (he can clear first wave in one shot, im very happy :) ) and i need to work on spartacus now. I was wondering where I could get the crystalized lore mat so I could max his skill from 9-10. I know I have a lot of farming ahead of me to finish this team, but its been pretty fun. Also, where do you recommend farming the octuplet crystals? Im sorry if this is a very noob question, but your videos have helped me a lot. Thank you.
I always read my comments! Congrats on Arash! Crystallized lore are kinda a pain. If you're a way bigger whale than me, you can buy them with rare prisms through Da Vinci's shop. If not, they come from events. Completing the event's story, the event challenge quest, or fulfilling various other requirements and milestones will reward them. There is an upcoming beginner-friendly event called GudaGuda Final Honnoji where you'll be able to grab a few. Rather than keeping track of the best place to farm everything, I always just use a guide like this one: gamepress.gg/grandorder/item/octuplet-crystals You can type in the name of any ascension material into the search bar and it'll bring up all the locations where that material is a possible drop, sorted in order for optimal AP efficiency. I'm not sure how far into the story you are, but if you've just started, it looks like your best bet may be the two-current sea in Okeanos. When you make it to Agartha, your options get much better, so keep pushing! Thanks for watching and asking, I'm glad to hear they've been helpful. Let me know if I can be of any further use to you!
fantastic video! I've been trying to figure out how making CE bombs exactly works but several of the guides and videos i've watched are still a bit tricky to understand... any advice regarding this?
@@ethandupras when I first started, there weren't really guides, or if there were, I didn't know where to look for em, I just kinda made due with my unoptimized teams, and it made it harder to stick with the game. it's only now that I'm really getting into the optimizing game. I'm glad resources like this exist for new players now though haha
I remember those days too! Hopefully the newer generation of players can have an easier time starting out than you and I did, that's the goal of the channel
Hello. I started at the start of Summer 3. This is a simple setup I made last week. 1. Arash (Lvl. 60), 1k Fou'd, Max Skill 3, and MLB Aerial Drive. 2. Spartacus (Lvl. 60), Imaginary Element 3. OzymanDIO (Lvl. 90), **trying to max his 1st skill for lancers** 4. Raikou (Lvl. 80), MLB His Rightful Place, still trying to max lvl her... 5. Support Waver 6. bond farming servant MC: Plugsuit (for swapping Ozy and Waver) Edit: Do you still accept requests? I'm gonna add you when I'm on later. IGN is Prometheus.
Ozy was my second ever SSR, I used him in a similar capacity for a long time. I eventually found the animation/button presses for swapping another servant in was adding more time than to each run that didn't need to be there. But if it works, it works! And good on you for getting it setup so quickly, it'll serve you well!

NEVER advise giving grails to a unit for damage. The increase is minimal and you're wasting grails. You grail a servant out of love and they're precious/limited. And Brave chains don't affect NPs.
I really don't think its as simple as "NEVER do x". I love to use Cu as a solo unit, that's a style of gameplay I really enjoy. However, doing so successfully is only possible in some fights if he's grailed because he needs that additional damage and bulk from the extra stats he gets from grails. Would you tell me that I should "never" have done so? That I shouldn't use my grails to enhance the gameplay of a servant I really enjoy using? As for the increase being minimal, that's more of a case-by-case basis as well. For most SSRs, I'd be mostly happy to agree. But grailing Arash all the way, for example, will take his ATK stat from 5,816 to 9,037. "Substantial" is of course a subjective term (as is minimal) but I'd say that qualifies under my own standard of the term. If somebody loves Arash and wants to reliably clear the first wave of every node in the game with him (or as near as they can get to that goal) and as such wants to grail him to increase his damage as much as possible, I certainly wouldn't tell that person they should "NEVER" do so. Would I personally use my grails that way, or say its the best possible use of them? Not necessarily, but I certainly wouldn't tell them they shouldn't do so if their mind is set and they're making an informed and well-reasoned decision. And I'm sure we could agree that not very many people would fit the description above. But my point is that conceptually, I don't think grailing for gameplay is inherently wrong (or should NEVER be advised, to be as specific to your argument as possible). Some of my servants are grailed with no regard at all for gameplay, some are grailed because I love their gameplay and I want to get as much mileage out of them as possible. The method you describe is a perfectly valid approach to grailing servants, but I don't think it's the only valid method. I've taken the time to respond at length like this because I understand my opinion on this topic differs from much of the community and you, along with everybody else who might read this, deserve to know where I'm coming from when I presented that option. As for your second point, you're correct. I didn't do a good job conveying that information in the video and its good you've pointed that out. My concern at the time was to display a run with as little RNG as possible, so it could still be done without relying on card draws. Since I wasn't working with a script, I decided on the spot to simply avoid buster chains, rather than just state it out. In retrospect, its obvious that was an inefficient way to make the point and I wish I had done it differently, but such is the nature of the beast of TH-cam. Anyhow, thanks for giving me the opportunity to expand on those thoughts and for the clarification about the buster chains.
@@ethandupras To defend myself on the " NEVER " point, it's just to make sure that newbies are set on the right path. Granted it's just better to save grails until you're further into the game and have more units/know for sure of who you like, but you shouldn't leave even a possibility for newbies to potentially waste grails, as they are just SO precious. I wasted 5 grails on 2 servants I used to like and I also did it to give them an extra damage boost, which did not help in the long run and I really regret not having those grails. My method would be to use hyperbolic to really get the idea out of newbie's head to ensure or have as high a possibility to ensure, that they don't use grails willy-nilly. That's one mistake you don't want to make. And in general, it's a nice rule of thumb to just stay away from trying to grail for efficiency because like I said, the difference is minimal and you could just use a better unit for gameplay. So to keep it simple and leave very little room for regret, just grail out of love. The possible regret would be you not liking said servant anymore, but that just can't be helped. In the end, I just want newbies to not waste resources and not have regrets. Like I do..
A perfectly admirable goal. Thanks again for talking this out with me, its helped me decide this topic warrants a video from me explaining my perspective and encouraging a cautious use of the resource.
@@ethandupras thanks for explaining out your reasoning with the grail. Both of you guys, this was a really well reasoned and informative discussion for me, because I just got into FGO 4 or so days ago after being a fate fan for so long. Appreciate both you and commend you guys for having a fair conversation:^)
Deja vu indicates a glitch in the matrix, means they changed something. Check your windows just to be safe. I'm sure others may have made similar videos or used similar team comps for similar purposes, but this specific video was recorded and uploaded about one year ago from now by me, and didn't exist before I created it
Such is the way of the gacha, I'm afraid. Any CE with 50% starting NP charge or higher will work with this setup, though. There have been a few of those available lately (even outside of gacha, like Aerial Drive or Painting Summer) and of course Imaginary Element is permanent, as is Kaleidoscope and Devilish Bodihisatva, to give you some other options. If you never summon and never grab the event CEs from the shops, there isn't much I can do for you, but if you're doing one or the other and making sure to spin the FP wheel every day, you should come across some of these CEs or other compatible options before too long
If you have nicer CEs that start your farmers with more than 50%, you could use other support units. If not, Waver is necessary. If it helps, it doesn't have to be somebody you're friends with. Keep refreshing the list and I'm sure you'll find somebody eventually! Like I said in the video, any AOE berserker should work. Darius' damage is a bit lower than Kiyo's, though. I just tested it and my Darius was easily able to clear the third wave. Mine is at NP5 with his NP upgrade unlocked, so mileage may vary. If you've got him, Eric Bloodaxe will outdamage Darius and is easier to get to NP5 and to level, so that's another possibility for you!
New player here! I managed to get an MLB Dragons Meridian however, my Arash's third skill is stuck at level 9 since I don't have Crystallized lore. Is there a way for F2P players to get Lores or do I need to wait for events?
Specifically what about getting skills to 10? If the real question you're asking is where to get Crystalized Lore, they come from events. The currently ongoing GudaGuda event has no entry requirement beyond clearing Fuyuki, is pretty easy and gives away 2, 1 for finishing the story and one for clearing the challenge quest if you've completed Solomon and can access it. I specifically addressed your second question from 3:07 - 3:51. Please rewatch that section of the video and let me know if anything remains unclear.
With the ongoing maintenence I can't go and personally confirm just now. Her ATK stat is super low, and on my team she struggles to consistently clear the first wave of hands with no assistance, let alone the third which has sturdier enemies. But she'd also be under the added benefit of Waver's ATK buff, so... maybe? I've successfully mirrored the strategy in the video with Eric Bloodaxe for another viewer, but have never tried it with Bunyan. Sorry I can't be more helpful here, I just don't want to mislead you about something I haven't and can't currently test
Events run for a limited time and there isn't necessarily always one going on. The next one starts tonight or tomorrow depending on your time zone. Once it opens, It'll appear on the home page above all the singularities, will be fairly clear.
In broadstrokes, yes. Arash will still be able to handle the first wave as long as you aren't on Lancer TGs. Spartacus will still be able to handle the second wave. The third wave will instead require a single target nuke rather than an AOE berserker. You can use a single target berserker like Lu Bu or (preferably) your strongest single target servant with class advantage. Whether that will be enough to end the fight right away depends on which servant you're using and which TG you're running. The highest level TGs have bosses with ~180k hp, which is a lot to ask of any servant. So, depending on your circumstances, you may have to nuke as much as possible with the NP, then finish the fight off normally.
@@ethandupras would you think rolling for Kama on a new account is worth it? From what I've read she's good with Skadi but since I don't have her I feel like it isn't worth it :v but she seems so cool
@@bigshow457 Kama is a super broken servant. If you get her, you're good on assassins forever. Skadi pushes her even further, but is not necessary to make her perform really well. You should be aware though, that she's going to be pretty hard for you to level for the immediately foreseeable future because a lot of her ascension and skill-up materials are locked to late-game story chapters. You will need to have finished all of part 1 before you can do her third and fourth ascensions. Just something to keep in mind.
Any other craft essence that starts your servants with 50% or higher will work. There are several craft essences of that effect in the standard gacha summoning pool like Imaginary Element, Devilish Bodihisatva, Kaleidoscope and so on. They are also given as event rewards fairly frequently. If you never summon and never play events, there isn't much else I can do for you. But if you're doing one or the other (but especially both) periodically, you'll come across some workable CEs eventually
That last wave of enemies have the highest hp pool, so whoever you use there needs to be able to deal about 30k between their own kit and Waver's atk buff, plus whatever stats they get from their CE. A 3 star without an upgraded NP and at NP1 is going to struggle there, regardless of who it is. Make sure to keep doing your free friend point gacha spin every day. There are also some strong upcoming banners (like the Thanksgiving banner available right now with a bunch of powerful, limited SSRs) that you might want to roll on, which gives you a high likelihood of picking up those dupes soon enough. Like I said in the video, this team won't necessarily be fully operational right away, but give it some time and you'll get all the parts you need. Its hard for me to reccomend servants when I don't know your roster. Bloodaxe is a two star, so he's even easier to get than Kiyohime, he can do it at NP5. If you got Cat or Fran from the tutorial summon, they could manage it. The point is, use your strongest/highest NP level AOE berserker. But if nobody can handle it yet, you could try switching the kiyohime position with Spartacus, so instead Kiyo/whoever else will handle the second wave and Spartacus does the third. His NP is upgraded so he does quite a lot of damage. Hope that helps!
Idk if you still respond to comments but which skills need to be at lvl.10??? I saw the entire video but if you can reply just to make sure it'd be appreciated ^^
Assuming your craft essences are starting your servants at 50%, Arash's 3rd skill and Spartacus' 2nd, the ones that charge their noble phantasm meters, need to be at level 10. You'll need to do a rank up quest or interlude before Arash gets his 3rd skill. If you have better craft essences that give your servants more NP charge at the beginning of the battle, the necessary skill level goes down accordingly.
Hi, I am new to the game, i start because i see a video on okita alter summer i think and she look great, so i start this game, with the tutoriel summon i pull heracles, since this i have make the 10 free summon everyday, and i am currently in london story arc. i have cu lvl 50 and heracles lvl 60, and mash lvl 17. I have save my cristal summon (can't remember the name) like 400 and 40 summon tikets, everybody say to save for castoria so i save. but i cant figure when i have to start farming ressources? i dont want to make thing hard and start to feel that i must play. Thank you for your answer.
For now just farm resources as you need them. Your goal should be to have one fully leveled servant in each class. Castoria is really good, but she isn't necessary for everybody. You don't have to save for her if you don't want to.
As of right now, no other AOE berserker has an NP battery skill, so they'll be entirely reliant on Waver to charge them to 100%. Meaning they need to start the battle with 80%, meaning you need a Kscope. If you already have one, any other AOE zerk with comprable damage will do just fine. If not, you're essentially out of luck.
so idk if u will see this but is this still valid I just seen another video of yours that says bereserkers are not a good investment that is newer than this video so I'm confused ill check out your newer vids
@@ethandupras so I just finished septem so I’m still pretty early I think I don’t have the resources to level the servants u said all the way so I was thinking if I should have a caster work with my emiya and hans
@@ashenreborn1161 With where you're at, I usually reccomend people kind of split their time between working on their servants and advancing the story. As for the specific split, you'll have to decide that for yourself. The early singularities are very easy and you'll more or less be able to steamroll everything in your way for roughly the first five. However, for most players, singularity six is a pretty shocking difficulty spike. I would tell you that you want to have about one fully leveled servant per class by the time you start singularity six. During Six, you'll fight bosses who use AOE NPs every turn, bosses with 700k hp and Invul pierce on their NP, bosses that lie to you about what class they are so you go in with the wrong team, and so much more. So, try to advance the story a little bit here and there while building up some servants such that you have at least one usable 3 star servant in every class, then you can borrow another class advantaged unit from your friends list. Run those two together in a team with Mash (who you should also be working on, if you aren't already) or Hans or somebody and you will be in a pretty good spot. Does that help give you some direction?
@@ethandupras thank you for the in-depth reply I'm gonna watch the who to build video real quick I have cu calan and everyone u used in this video except hercules I think building my emiya is a good idea his ult is an aoe and then i will work on the others u used in the video or are they only meant for the dailies and i should build some other single target servants to beat bosses
"Easy" in the sense that you don't need to spend SQ to get one. A lot of events will reward 50% CEs for completion, and of course the SQ gacha is full of different starting CEs for whenever the next time you roll comes around!
If you're farming embers, I would still use Arash. You'll probably have to take 2 turns on the first wave rather then 1, but the other options are even more hassle.
Yes. On the one hand, you need the extra stats from ascending and leveling. On the other, several important tools shown in the video (Arash's NP charge skill, Spartacus' upgraded NP and buster buff skill, Kiyohime's buster buff skill) are locked behind strengthening quests which only become available at final ascension.
The amount of NP charge they get is based on the skill level. With the skills at level 9, they won't get to 100% NP. Unless you have better CEs (as in, CEs that start your servants with more than 50% NP) than the ones featured in the video, in which case you can get away with lower skill levels. Or, if you have your own AOE NP charger servant like Waver or Merlin
Mine does in the video, and mine as shown here isn't exactly anything special. But if you're struggling, make sure you; Boost his NP level Do his NP interlude Give him atk fous Level up the CE you're equipping on him You can also switch the order you use the Waver buffs and the mystic code NP Charge from how I used it in the video. So, he'd get the benefit of Waver's ATK skill and Spartacus uses the mystic code skill instead
If she's highly invested in, kinda. Mine is NP5 with her ATK buff at lv4 and 0 ATK fous, her NP does about 25k against neutral class enemies. This means, for my copy of her, that her ability to clear the third wave in one NP is somewhat dependent on RNG for Caster days, pretty hit or miss on Rider days, and severely limited on Assassin days. If your Medusa is way more badass than mine, that might change for you. The reason that the team in the video uses a berserker on the final wave is because they get a 50% damage bonus against whatever they're fighting, so they're transferable between all variations of the quest with no drop-off in terms of performance. So, for those reasons, I'd encourage you to use a berserker.
Not dumb at all! When you get multiple copies of a craft essence, you can feed them to each other to "limit break" them. This will increase it's level cap each time, up to 100. When you limit break it four times, called "max limit break", the effects of the CE will be improved. Dragon's Meridian will go from 30 to 50% starting charge once it is max limit broken. So, to answer your question, find a total of 5 copies of the CE, go to the enhancement menu, then Craft Essence, select one of the CEs in question to enhance on the left. Tap the enhancement materials section on the right and the other copies will be moved to the front and will say "limit breakthrough" in yellow text. Select them all and enhance. This will max limit break the original and improve its effects.
@@kevin-of5oi No, it's a slightly different process. Under the enhance menu, you'll see an option called "Ascend". Go into that and select a servant at their current level cap. You'll be prompted with a list of items and materials that varies from servant to servant. If you have the necessary items in the appropriate amounts, hit ascend. The items will be consumed and the servant will ascend, which increases their level cap, changes their sprite, unlocks their new skills, etc. Servants need to be ascended 4 times, with the material requirements getting a bit tougher each time. These items can be farmed through events and free quests in the singularities and you can find drop charts online to figure out where to get which items.
@@masterretsam6731 Events and all the rewards associated with them usually get one rerun about a year after their original release. There is also a way to replay some past events through the expenditure of an in-game resource. This feature isn't very well fleshed out as of this moment, but they'll add more past events to it as time goes on. The CEs available permanently are more than enough to get you through. But all that aside, there are new events all the time, new CEs coming out, and so on. As an example, there's a welfare assassin from the first game's first summer event, her rerun has come and gone and she's no longer accessible. But if you start playing now, in around a year you'll probably be able to grab an upcoming welfare servant named Kiichi Hogen, who is also a free four star quick AOE assassin. In other words, an they occupy an extremely similar niche, and Hogen is stronger overall anyway. Ultimately, everybody who didn't start the game on day 1 has missed some amount of content, but nothing in the game's history is so pivotal and important that starting after it is unachievable. And if you need, there are plenty of helpful folks in the community who would be happy to help you as far as we can! You can use my follow code to access my support list and lean on my servants while you build up your own, for example.

Arash and Spartacus should still do fine for the first two waves, but the third wave bosses on the higher level TGs have really high hp and most AOE servants aren't going to be able to do the job with the setup as presented here. So trade out Kiyo for your best single-target servant (preferably with class advantage) and your best CE for damage with 50% starting charge. But depending on your roster, that may or may not be enough to 3-turn the whole thing. ~180k is a lot of damage to ask of any servant with one ATK buff and their own skills, but there are those who can do it. I did some testing just now on the Saber TG. Deviating from this setup and using things specific to my account, I can get my Tomoe Gozen to deal 315k damage and melt the boss without much trouble. But using only f2p servants and CEs that everybody theoretically has, the best I could do was Lu Bu and 138k. So, depending on your roster, you may have to just do as much as you can with the NP on the 3rd wave, then face card/normal play your way through the rest of the fight
From the home screen, hit Menu, then Shop, then Exchange Mana Prisms. You'll see a set of items called Hero Crystal: Sun/Star Fou. These are also obtained from Event shops, login rewards, etc. Once you have some, menu -> enhance -> servant, select the servant and go into the enhancement materials page and you'll find your Fous above your embers. Select them just like embers, hit OK then Enhance. Every servant can have their ATK and HP stats increased by 1000 this way. You'll also occasionally come across Gold Fous that can be used to increase stats by an additional 1000, but these are quite rare and most players will only have 1 or 2 servants with maxed out gold fous, so don't worry about that too much

Ah yes, Waver, the best slave and Arash, energetically exploding himself to smithereen again today.
Spartacus basically does the same thing, but his muscle is too strong to make him just die lol
Thank you for this. I've started a few weeks ago and have been looking for up-to-date guides, especially on f2p team-building.

Idk why I'm watching this but it's still a good guide
Thanks!
i started during the summer race and this is still helpful, thanks bro
Glad to hear it, enjoy the game! Let me know if you have any questions about getting started up!
Its is so helpful! Just started playing and I didn't know I have been farming inefficiently for weeks. Glad I stumbled this video!
Subbed :>
I'm glad you did, too! Thanks for watching and for the feedback!
I managed to get my setup in a week, thanks to your guide and the current Christmas event, i even paligenesis Arash just cuz he deserves it. Best boy imo
Right on! Happy farming, friend!
Paracelsus is a great F2P Caster with an 80% charge, teamwide Arts buff, and targeted NP gain + Guts. He's also widely used in advanced farming comps. Probably the number one farming Servant I wish I'd levelled earlier! Oh, and any NP charge skill that scales (most do--check if there are [Lv X] brackets in the description after "charges NP") are worth maxing.
i used this team for quite a long time, thanks for showing its possible to save time and 3T farm with f2p units
You're very welcome, happy to help!
Oh shit great video man, helps a ton for a new player ^^
Thank you!
Great video my dude, wish i saw this sooner
Thanks a lot!

I just started FGO. Tbh I though I'd lose motivation due to how overwhelming building teams can be, but I've been keeping pretty steady. I've been building my farming team in time for Summer 4.
There's a lot to consider, but that's part of the fun as I see it. Let me know how I can help as you continue!
Thank you very much for this guide mate. I started to play the game recently and this is extremely useful. I apreciate it 👍
Awesome to hear! Thanks for watching and enjoy the game!
thanks for the helpful guide, love your videos!
Glad you found it useful and thanks!
Idk y i haven’t farmed even after months of playing it lmao, it’s time to farm now. thx for the video
Thanks for watching!
quite the contrary for me, ive been playing this game for about two months now and all i ever did was farming lmao.
Still though this video is great for anyone starting out
Thank you for watching and for the positive appraisal!
Thank you so much for this!
Glad to have helped!
The basic concept or formula for making any 3-turn farming team is:
Starting NP guage from CE + Servant's own NP charge skills + incoming charge from the Mystic Code + incoming charge from our support servant = 100%.
Yeah! As long as skill and NP levels and atk stats generally are all high enough to deal sufficient damage, you should be all set!
Yike
at least you know it 1 month earlier than me
Thank you for this been binging videos I have archer emiya and the alter okita or whatever her name is and Siegfried leveling all of them took forever lol
Would you recommend awakening the farm team first?
You'll be farming embers until day you quit the game, more or less, so yeah, I'd suggest making that aspect as quick and painless as possible sooner rather than later
i remember seeing this video months ago, started using Spartacus and Arash after that and now they are both bond lvl 9
Right on! Glad to hear some advice I gave worked out for you!
Would've loved to see this before I got my own Merlin and Godjurna. Maaan I could've saved a lot of time
thx dude this is really helpful.can i cam use any kind of 50% ce right?
Rather than keeping track of the best place to farm everything, I always just use a guide like this one:
gamepress.gg/grandorder/item/octuplet-crystals
You can type in the name of any ascension material into the search bar and it'll bring up all the locations where that material is a possible drop, sorted in order for optimal AP efficiency.

Hello. I started at the start of Summer 3. This is a simple setup I made last week.
1. Arash (Lvl. 60), 1k Fou'd, Max Skill 3, and MLB Aerial Drive.
2. Spartacus (Lvl. 60), Imaginary Element
3. OzymanDIO (Lvl. 90), **trying to max his 1st skill for lancers**
4. Raikou (Lvl. 80), MLB His Rightful Place, still trying to max lvl her...
5. Support Waver
6. bond farming servant
MC: Plugsuit (for swapping Ozy and Waver)
Edit: Do you still accept requests?

If you never summon and never grab the event CEs from the shops, there isn't much I can do for you, but if you're doing one or the other and making sure to spin the FP wheel every day, you should come across some of these CEs or other compatible options before too long
just started a week ago.
if FP Summon could give me that 3* NP charge, i could do this lol
You'll get something that can do the job eventually. Make sure to be working on the skill levels and finishing some of the story in the mean time!
@@ethandupras do you use the FGO Automata?
does it work with this setup?
Yes and yes
any alternatives to Waver for support? everyone in my friend list has Scathach Skadi... I also have Darius, him vs Kiyohime for this setup?
@@ethandupras thanks for the info

New player here! I managed to get an MLB Dragons Meridian however, my Arash's third skill is stuck at level 9 since I don't have Crystallized lore. Is there a way for F2P players to get Lores or do I need to wait for events?
They pretty much exclusively come from events. There are several coming up soon with no entry requirements where you'll be able to pick up several!
Any advice on getting skills to level 10 for this party set up? Also, any alternate CEs? (Kaleidoscope and Imaginary element work, well right?)
Does Zerkerlot counts as a AOE berserker with this strat like Kiyohime? Planning to get him with 4★ ticket.
Yeah, as long as you're following the rest of the advice presented here, he'll do just fine!

@@tsuyakeshi9372 Thanks, happy to hear that!
bunyan can substitute kyo?
With the ongoing maintenence I can't go and personally confirm just now. Her ATK stat is super low, and on my team she struggles to consistently clear the first wave of hands with no assistance, let alone the third which has sturdier enemies. But she'd also be under the added benefit of Waver's ATK buff, so... maybe? I've successfully mirrored the strategy in the video with Eric Bloodaxe for another viewer, but have never tried it with Bunyan. Sorry I can't be more helpful here, I just don't want to mislead you about something I haven't and can't currently test

Of course
Thanks again,you helped a lot
I was suffering and about to drop the game :(
Thanks for this. How do I farm event stuff like where are the events?
Events run for a limited time and there isn't necessarily always one going on. The next one starts tonight or tomorrow depending on your time zone.
Once it opens, It'll appear on the home page above all the singularities, will be fairly clear.
ey, got a question. why are the qusts' ap consumption halved? is it an event? appreciate the vid btw.
Yup, I filmed this during a half AP daily event, which come around every few months.
New player here i understand this is good for embers but does this also apply to training grounds? Anyways ty for this now I'm gonna try
@@ethandupras thank you for the response. I'm glad I found the video since its very straight forward. Good to know TG can be done as well.
@@bigshow457 You're very welcome, don't hesitate to ask for further help should you need it!

@@ethandupras well okay, thanks for replying!
Good luck!
*Can I just put Kaleidoscope on Arash? I have imaginary around for Spartacus as well*
Like I said in the video, if you have nicer stuff, feel free to use it. So, of course that setup would be fine!
Do i need to level up kiyohime's np? But i dont have extra kiyohime. Pls suggest a servant
@@ethandupras thanks, sorry to bother you
Not a bother at all, let me know when you can make it work!
@@ethandupras btw i have gil (caster) but i always ended up on 4 turns
He's not really a dps unit, so you might have to look for somebody with a better NP if you want to get that number down
Idk if you still respond to comments but which skills need to be at lvl.10???
Is there alternative for spartacus? Simply bcs i dont like his character. Thanks in advance
Bro,I'm new to Fgo and there's a tutorial summon for begginers,I got the whatever Elementary CE and I burn it down and a CE that got a cool old man...
Sounds like you're off to a good start, feel free to message me if you need any guidance!

@@ethandupras so I just finished septem so I’m still pretty early I think I don’t have the resources to level the servants u said all the way so I was thinking if I should have a caster work with my emiya and hans
Or should I just farm the ones I can
@@ashenreborn1161 With where you're at, I usually reccomend people kind of split their time between working on their servants and advancing the story.
@@ethandupras thank you for the in-depth reply I'm gonna watch the who to build video real quick I have cu calan and everyone u used in this video except hercules I think building my emiya is a good idea his ult is an aoe and then i will work on the others u used in the video or are they only meant for the dailies and i should build some other single target servants to beat bosses
would it still work if arash against lancer team?
Thank you for asking! Please check the video's description for my thoughts on that, and feel free to follow up with me with any further questions!
that's 3* CE is so easy to get that they doesn't dare to give me one
"Easy" in the sense that you don't need to spend SQ to get one. A lot of events will reward 50% CEs for completion, and of course the SQ gacha is full of different starting CEs for whenever the next time you roll comes around!
What do I replace Arash with when I face lancer enemies?
If you're farming embers, I would still use Arash.
You'll probably have to take 2 turns on the first wave rather then 1, but the other options are even more hassle.
Do you need max Asencion for all of them?
@@ethandupras ohh I see thanks :D.
Happy to help!
could they maybe work at nine? i used all my lore and I dont have any more
The amount of NP charge they get is based on the skill level.

I use god juna (2) with waver and gil

Mine does in the video, and mine as shown here isn't exactly anything special. But if you're struggling, make sure you;
Boost his NP level
Do his NP interlude
Give him atk fous
Level up the CE you're equipping on him
You can also switch the order you use the Waver buffs and the mystic code NP Charge from how I used it in the video. So, he'd get the benefit of Waver's ATK skill and Spartacus uses the mystic code skill instead
@@ethandupras I will try giving him atk fous leveling the ce

@@ethandupras I grailed him to 75 and he has 7576 attack but still leaves riders at 2000 hp
I would do his interlude but I still have not cleared camelot(leveling servants)
can mudusa replace the turn 3 farmer?
@@ethandupras ok thank mine has level 5 skills and in level 70 without pho's
does it work with level 1 kiyohime np
Probably not. You could use Eric Bloodaxe instead, if you've got him at a higher NP level.
jesus, those kscopes
donate some
Would if I could friend, most of them just collect dust
im a new player so forgive me if im saying something dumb. I have dragon's meridean but it only has np charged at 30% but not higher
@@ethandupras Thank you so much! ur a life saver man
Happy to help!
@@ethandupras One more question, is it the same to servants to increase their maximum level?
Hey man the dragon meridian CE only gives 30% charge
Until you max limit break it, at which point it goes to 50%, as is displayed in the video
@@ethandupras I see do I still have to break it 4 times? To reach that 50% bonus?
Yeah! Gather the original CE, then 4 extra copies. Feed the copies to the original and the effect of the CE will be improved. Applies to all CEs
Is it too late starting with FGO NA now?
Never too late to start!
@@ethandupras But I skipped a lot events, welfares, ce's, costumes etc. Will they ever come back?
@@ethandupras Hey, thanks for tips and explanation. I started to play the game, and its not so shabby. Again, thanks for the help
Glad to hear it, and seriously, let me know if I can help any further! Have a good time!
Does this farm work on training grounds?
Kiiiiiiiiiiiiiinda...
So, depending on your roster, you may have to just do as much as you can with the NP on the 3rd wave, then face card/normal play your way through the rest of the fight
why is your arash stronger? i have a better ce and same lv
Does yours have maxed out ATK fous?
Oh no
How do I max the attack
