“Do great days & let the days start to stack and all of the sudden your results you want are just waiting for you”
I wrote this one on my fridge and it is simple but true! LOVE ❤️ IT!

Hello Carla and Gerard! I am 104 pounds down, and I will be joining you again this cycle to hopefully reach “great”. Thank you for all of the knowledge you share! Sending love to you both. 💜💜💜

dealing with infertility due to pcos was my challenge. felt the need for a consistent approach to wellness. watched Carla and Jared discuss weight loss and maintenance. Aspect Health guided me in understanding the importance of consistency. not advertising, just sharing. consistency is key in any health journey. find what works for you and show up for yourself daily.

I'm SO glad I came across your channel last year. In September 2023 I happened to come across one of your videos & it literally changed my life. I've lost 60 pounds so far and I couldn't be happier. I still have 48 pounds to my D2D goal, but still going strong, letting the days stack up... Best of all, I've returned to running, something I loved before I gained all the weight. So thank you for the ongoing inspiration, tips & motivation.

OH MY GOODNESS! This has by far been the best vlog/video/podcast I have EVER listened to regarding weight loss. It was the best 22 minutes of the rest of my life! I took notes to re-read daily. Thank you Gerard and Carla for taking the time to share such quality information! I know it will be a journey, I am a sugar addict with 75lbs to lose, but with consistency and “self parenting”, I will find new enjoyments in life other than food and reach my goal of living a healthy new life!❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜

💜💜💜Two of the people on my 5 minutes of gratitude list! Where would I be if I hadn't found Carla and then Gerard? I shudder to think! You are changing people's lives for the better! It's great seeing you together, flushing out the concepts even more. I needed this. I'm looking forward to round 3! We go again! We go harder! 💪

Great to hear this. I was just thinking about the point that weight loss is a specific intervention for a certain amount of time this morning when looking at my calorie counting app offering "lifetime access". I don't want to be trying to lose weight my whole life! 💜💜💜

The "using food as a drug" really struck a cord with me. I'm able to change my habits all month except the week of my period. I'm finding ways to satisfy my food cravings with healthier options or smaller potions. But I still feel like my hormones are running the show. But I'm losing weight so I must be doing something right. 💜💜💜

Interesting video, thank you Carla! The point that not every meal has to be delicious is definitely difficult for me to internalize as someone who loves to cook. However I notice that when I'm having really strong cravings, it's not for the food I make and eat at home but rather for salty/sugary processed snacks or restaurants. Being able to make food that tastes good and is good fuel is definitely a good thing in my opinion.

    • @HalfofCarla

Oh for sure, tasty food will make it more enjoyable, but it doesn’t have to be the be all and end off of why we eat 🖤

💜💜💜 I'm not someone who has done BodySlims but from listening to the chats you have with Gerard, the methodology behind the program is sound and tracks with the way I approached weight loss myself. (And Gerard is such a charmer, he could probably talk me into anything, so if I needed a guided weight-loss program, he'd have me signing up in a heartbeat!)

i've lost more than 10% of my body weight since the start of the program, and have signed up for the april one.
i'm so so glad to have found bodyslims through you, carla. i have set a new dare to dream goal, and while i still have a way to go until then, i'm feeling brilliant to be where i've gotten to now.

💜💜💜 Thank you Carla and Ger, this video was a much needed reminder that Bodyslims is program of mental fitness. Holidays (Halloween thru New Years) are hard for me and listening to the video forced me to be honest with how much I have been self medicating with food during the break. I know that as I practice Ger's teachings, I will be much more resilient when the holidays come around again. If it hadn't been for your channel, I would never have found Bodyslims which has been a bright light in healing my relationship with food, and more importantly with healing my relationship with myself. Learning how to consistently show up for myself has been the most important lesson of all.

Dear Carla & Jared, can you please address the following question in your next conversation? I once had a coach who told me that I should see food only as fuel. I told her that that was like seeing sex only as procreation. I agree that not every meal in a busy life is going to be tasty but food is one of the great pleasures of life, even if you aren’t using it as a dopamine hit to numb or eat your feelings, etc. I think that maintenance on a bland regime of food is not sustainable. Eventually I would want to try something new, break out of the routine of eating mostly the same thing or just want to live a life where I really enjoy what I’m eating. Could you please interview someone who has maintained a healthy diet by eating a variety of healthy food that they enjoy?
(For me, sharing that you eat basically the same thing every day is as unattainable for lifelong weight maintenance as it is to say you drink a diet smoothy ever day, etc. You get what I’m saying?)

I often tell myself this: If I am really hungry I will eat a tin of sardines. (I love these little fishy things, but I don't crave them.) Really, I eat them if there is nothing else and I'm starving. So anyway, if I don't want to open a tin of sardines, then I am not really hungry.
