Thank you for making a video about something I've always been passionate about but never knew anyone else cared about. I love volume covers and the cover of Volume 44 of One Piece is what started my physical collection. I now have about 200 volumes in my collection.
This is the first time I've listened to a manga/anime analysis video from start to end without skipping a thing Thanks for the great content and you can count on me to continue to support you in your journey
My favourite cover art has to be "I want to eat your pancreas". It tells you very little about the story, almost nothing - yet encapsulates it perfectly. I find that a lot of manga has the problem that the art either feels too different from the content or it gives too much about what the content is about. And it's because I want to eat your pancreas does neither of this that I like it so much. (Plus it also helps being an excellent manga I guess lol). Itswiththat manga that I didnt just enjoy the cover when I picked it up, but also enjoyed it greatly once I finished reading the book.
Good content as always. Really dig the analysis and agree while u can’t judge a book/manga from the cover it does give u insight into the series, chapter, characters, world. Good stuff Enzo
Dude why you don't have at least million subscribers ? Why ? It's really unfair that some manga youtubers get so many subscribers despite the fact they don't bring anything to the table , while someone like you really goes balls deep and give such cool new details

Xxxholic and Land of the lustrous have one of the best covers for me given they are always full art that engross complete with the back cover ✨ is just gorgeous to see both full.
i personally myself like tokyo ghoul's covers since at the first volumes they're pretty simple but they become more colorful and filled out as the story progresses which i think could be because of how the story evolves and becomes more "messier" and extreme!! my hero academia's cover art style isn't really consistent, but to be honest i kinda like that! when the events on a volume are big, it shows by the cover art being a lot more dramatic and understandable. as for when there isn't really a heavy moment in one, they're way more aloof and simple. (which can be seen in other manga as well)
nice analysis specially on the fire force covers. if you have time, can you make a video about the difference between the original japanese covers and english release like what you did with sankarea. it would be a great help for some people want to collect manga with the original cover art but in english translation. nice work!!!
Thanks man, the fire force section was actually the first segment written for the video! The cover differences is a good idea but it would take time to find covers with big changes. Sankarea was a happy accident. Also nice to see another Komi fan here. Thanks for watching!

Great video! I was thinking about how inferior the Kaguya-sama US covers are compared to the Japanese covers. I wish we had the heart eyes, but oh well. :/
Thank you! Yeah I wish Kaguya had some of the charm the originals had. Also some research shows the the kanji in the heart means "confess" so its really clever.

it's kinda sad that some english translated manga covers are quite different from the original japanese. like the logo of the title, the ridiculous big volume number. sad.
I hear this often, I wanted to focus in on series that I really love and gave me a lot to chew on. I like Jojo but didn't have much to say on the covers. I actually removed a lot of series from the video for the same reason. Just cause they're not on here doesn't mean I don't think they're good!

Every single one was found on google, took a lot of time to find them in high definition. If some covers appear only in low quality if you're using chrome right click and pressing "search google for images" will pull up more results of varying quality. Amazon also helps or typing in the the the series name and volume with "simon schuster" in there gets very good results.
