  • Tragically, the body of the missing hiker, Mr Harry Tan has been found. CNA as usual, ran a rather confusing article trying to explain what happened through the eyes of observers on the ground. Teachers, please don't use newsPAPer articles as teaching material. CNA is giving us a negative demonstration on how to write a report.

This is a channel that features travel, mainly backpacking and adventure travel. Join me as I explore the mountains in Java, Bali, Sumatra, Lombok Indonesia and go trekking in the Himalayas, checking out the Annapura, Everest, Langtang and Manaslu regions of Nepal. There are also beautiful mountains in Sabah, Malaysia. I’ve also done hiking and horse-riding treks in Kyrgyzstan and Myanmar, exploring Shan state and insurgent army controlled areas in Hsipaw and Rahine. Thailand was my second home. I still visit from time to time. I also like to go to neighbouring Laos and Vietnam where I’ve visited Ha Giang, Hanoi and many other interesting locations.

So true. I don't understand why he would choose to go off on his own. Nature can be very unforgiving and one must always be cautious.

I wouldn't dare go alone even though I know the Everest region quite well. What's more, the Three Passes trek has far fewer trekkers than EBC.
