That ol' gal outside the church was just marvelous. She had some years behind her, but still beautiful. And I love her hat and how it was a part of her persona. Wonderful to see.
Yes, meeting the wheat colored hair woman with the sky color in her eyes. It might be the first time for Maria meeting a very European looking human being.
Toosha mate well said. Modern government in this day and age are normally there to dismantle the true indigenes people whos actuall blood lines come from that place..
I genuinely feel people judge because they aren't meek there's to much pride, feeling like everyone that is outside from their bubble are little to them.
Wow, What your showing of Equator is so beautiful. That church on the hill was amazing, the domed roof was impressive. Cool stuff. Nice talk with the lady on the hill.
I don't know if Noraly mentioned it but Cuenca is a World Heritage site. It's renowned for its decorative railing. Also the original Ortega Panama hat factory is there, still making them the old school way.
Welcome to Cuenca. I’ve been here for over 12 years and the main reason I’ve stayed is the kindness of the people. And the fresh food, great weather, fantastic architecture, and the life style. Of all the cities and pueblos in Ecuador, Cuenca is the best. And so close to surrounding countryside places to visit. You’ll love your stay here. Enjoy. And your Spanish is really good. Makes a huge difference in connecting with the people. You can really see how kind they are, especially the camposinos. Safe travels.
Hi Ms. Noraly! I'm so happy you're visiting Ecuador, my birth country. Lito and myself really enjoying watching all of your episodes. Thank you for sharing all of your adventures with us. It's much appreciated. If you're ever in Harrisonburg Virginia, please let's us know and you can stay with us for as long as you need. Lito, my husband would love to know how you found those back roads, he couldn't find them in the map when searching. He's a bike rider too and would love to explore more of my country now that we're retired. Be safe and God be with you 🙏🏼 Much love and appreciation, Lita & Lito 🤗

Dearest Noraly You have stolen my heart away. I cannot imagine a more free spirit than you., Thank you for taking me along on your wonderful journeys and opening up the world of the South Americas to me. Stay safe.
Noraly has perfect sense for places which are not main tourist hubs, but have specific atmosphere and so many little attractions for visitors. All her videos from Ecuador are masterpieces.
I loved the little conversations with the local people. For me, as a Spanish speaker, it is the best part. I especially like to hear the first language speakers of indigenous languages speaking in Spanish. They are quite easy to understand perhaps because it is not their native language.
You can go inside any Catholic Church during a Service or not. Please give a minute or two to video the inside of these worldwide churches. I am grateful for your work. Please be careful and never take any chances
The lady going to market was really taken with Norally, and displayed a maternal concern : we all appreciated that. Also, the conversation was delightfully humdrum.
Noraly, one of the best parts of your videos is the interactions with the local people. A woman comes up as you are preparing to ride away. She asks about your family. She expresses concern about crime in an area. You not only take time to meet her, you are able to converse in her language and engage her for several minutes. That was a highlight of this post. Many people can ride the extreme parts of the world that you do. Although the rally segments last season suggest that the list may be more limited that I once thought. But your ability to connect to the local culture in their language is beyond the pale. Not as a blogger, but as a person, you are a very special and impressive individual. That is why I continue to follow and share with my grandchildren. Thank you for continuing to impress me.
What a beautiful day that was! The location of the church overlooking the whole area was breathtaking. I loved the conversation with the wise lady. A typical Mama lol. The market was beautiful. Having been in the foliage business my entire career...my bucket list included a trip to the market in the Netherlands but now I see I have two markets to wish to see. Great video! Nice WiFi spot too. Thanks for the ride along Noraly!
Your conversation with Maria was a thing of beauty during these difficult times. You made each other's day and mine - the lovely melding of cultures and it's why I enjoy watching your series; taking the time to get to know the people and appreciate their communities.
That is one thing about Noraly I really admire. Her care for animals. In one of her previous seasons she untied a rope that was round a dog's neck. Her humanity is a lesson for all.
That was a brilliant episode Noraly! Loved the lady - you seemed quite moved by your encounter with her. Loved the music going into the new cathedral and especially loved the market - so fun to see the food and flowers in abundance. If I could give this episode 5x thumbs up I would! Thank you Noraly for taking me back to a place I visited in 1988 with a couple of friends. Guayaquil had the same reputation back then and we did not go. You are practically retracing our route. We stayed overnight at the Edward Whymper refuge on top of Chimborazo sick from lack of oxygen. We also camped at the bottom of the crater at Playa de la Laguna Quilotoa and had a real bad surprise when we found the water loaded with sulfur and not suitable to cook with. In Coca that was a real jungle frontier town at that time we hired a guide and canoed through the jungle to spend a few days with a Auca tribe family. Almost lost our lives in an airplane crash trying to fly out of Coca back to Quito. That trip was one of the biggest adventures of my life. You have no idea how much I enjoy watching your tour. Cheers!

Hello Noraly. Watching your channel is like adding another dimension to my life...your presence lives with me daily. This is the unique quality that you bring to us all, nearly a million of us!! In your videos the hours of hard work, forethought and foresight is apparent. I am so glad you exist, you are a gift to the world. Really! (and that market was amazing..). Sam
Wow! The flowers in that market were amazing. As were the buildings; the church and the courthouse. These travels are fascinating for the places and people we see and meet, as well as the rough riding adventures. Happy New Year, Noraly!
On a weekly basis there was a lady that would deliver roses to my condo building. 2 dozen long stemmed roses for $ 5.00 USD. I lived about 15 minutes walk from the flower market. Many don't realize that Ecuador uses the US dollar.
"Are you by yourself? and your family and your mom?" It's like she's talking to a child or a teenager and not a grown woman. Gotta love my Ecuadorian mountain moms LOL.
You always seem to find the most natural and helpful people wherever you go. It is because of your honest and open personality and your commitment to their language,
Of all your trips in the whole wide world, this was my favourite episode, for its fabulous backroad riding and mountain scenery, I am so glad you chose to come to Ecuador, and to Cuenca, with its stunning food and flower markets, magnificent architecture, and historic cathedrals. That was a heart-warming encounter with Maria, who like all of us keeps a spiritual watch over you as you bring the world to our doorstep. You travel alone, but are never alone!
Cuenca is very cool especially the flower market and the courthouse! What a neat spot for free WiFi. The little lady on her way to the market at the Miracle church was so sweet.
As many have noted, our faces, too, were bathed in smiles listening to your exchange with Maria. Such a pleasure to travel with you via video. Thank you!
The cities and their architecture are really stunningly beautiful. It was so thoughtful of the one lady to take a moment and chat near the church. Have a wonderful day.
Loved Cuenca....lived there for 4 months about 3 years ago before flying out of Guayaquil to Madrid and Europe. I live in Turkey now, but really miss S.A. and in particular Ecuador....would love to return one day...catch up with old friends etc....
2:37 "Every time I see Alaska, I just.. it just makes me happy ." The saying here is : "If you can park the bike and walk away without looking back, you bought the wrong bike."
Noraly, thank you again for such a wonderful episode. I do love how you interact with the locals and I'm amazed at how easily you can converse with them. The little lady that you were conversing with was so sweet and I could tell she was genuinely concerned about your well-being. As am I !!! Please stay safe young lady !!!👍👍
The Cathedral, the Market and the Palacio de Justice....all beautiful.....Ecuador is visually stunning !!! Thank you for sharing your journey with us !!!
Thanks for the architecture tour! I’m an architect and a lifelong motorcyclist, and appreciate you taking the time to see some building most never get to see
I'm loving the fact that you are back on the road to Alaska! Hi Noraly, these churches have in their architecture, a Round Dome roof on a square building. this transition is one of the greatest building advances in history, i believe its called a pendentive, so cool to see that dome close up. thanks
This was a great episode: the view off-road, the visit to the church of miracles and the amazing chat with Maria the tour of Cuenca with its magnificent buildings, especially the courthouse with its free wifi!! I loved the music in this episode. What a happy experience seeing this part of Ecuador with you. Thank you!

Noraly that ride up the side of that mountain and down was spectacular. I love how you find these amazing picturesque back roads, what a ride! Loved the courthouse architecture too. Blessings from Banbasa, Northern India.
Oh, I loved the lady by the church - so fun to hear her tell about her life and little stories about things in the area. Norealy provided her with much to talk about with her friends and family - for months to come!

Beautiful city to visit and walk thru the markets. The church building certainly had some interesting architectural qualities. Thanks for sharing your interaction with the lady near the church. See was so genuine and expressed her concern for you in your travels! Ride safe Noraly and hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year!
its hard for me to pick my favorite itchy boots video, but this is up there. I really like the tour of the city, the courthouse, and of course your always bubbly personality.

Thank you so much Noraly, for showing us this beautiful part of Ecuador. I really enjoyed the conversation with the lady at the church.
The conversation with Maria was the best ever!
Motorcycle rider and adventurer. Traveler. Explorer. And tour-guide. You done it all Noralay.
Cuenca is very cool especially the flower market and the courthouse! What a neat spot for free WiFi. The little lady on her way to the market at the Miracle church was so sweet.
Those conversations with the locals just fill my heart of hope that humanity is not lost!
As many have noted, our faces, too, were bathed in smiles listening to your exchange with Maria. Such a pleasure to travel with you via video. Thank you!
What a great report about your journey, Noraly, hope you have allways the ride shoes & tires. Take care & felize viaje
Had no idea Ecuador was so beautiful. These videos I will re-watch.
Es bello mi Ecuador ♥️
The cities and their architecture are really stunningly beautiful. It was so thoughtful of the one lady to take a moment and chat near the church. Have a wonderful day.
Your positive attitude and wonderful smile is so engaging. Wonderful
Stay safe, Noraly. We love what you do, but dont risk it. Take care.
yea
I agree, but I guess Noraly is fully focused and in total control.
I found you at the start of Series 2, then when the virus stopped you in Peru, I traced your wheel tracks through Series 1 and then on again through 3, 4 and 5. Series 6 feels like you are back doing what you are supposed to do but better than before! Over 250,000 views in one day for this video and approaching your first Million subscribers is amazing and so well-deserved! Congratulations!
OMG!!! I can't get enough of that look the lady gave you when you said your family are back in the Netherlands. I think she was impressed by what an intrepid and independent woman you are.
Hey Noraly! Wow, what an amazing little town. Beautiful architecture and stunning fresco! Be safe. That lovely lady was your guardian angel!
Omg! you pass by the house I grow up in :,) 16:11min, the yellow in the right, you passing through Calle Borrero!! you just made my day!!! Good luck in your adventure
Too often Latin America has so much bad press. Thank you for showing us the people, the landscapes and the culture have a lot more to say ❤️
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your tour of Cuenca. Looks like a really neat city. I'm glad you're taking note of the dangerous areas in South America and continue to keep your guard up. Enjoy the journey and stay safe! Thanks for sharing some of the history of the city.
I just find myself smiling when you speak with people! The interactions add flavor.
Two notes:
- Direct after "which way, which way", you immediately entranced the road which you love it to ride with your motorcycle. The views are awesome.
- And yes, the courthouse in Cuenca is really very beautiful place to visit.
Keep on and surprise us again.
Wow impressive buildings,, this…. All this, is why you noraly are so so popular and followed by so so many, you keep it real and genuine, you know your stuff and you sure do your homework, HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM ALL OF US?.. go girl 🇬🇧👍
For 23 minutes I can forget all about the crap in the world, And enjoy a ride with this wonderful lady 👍👍🇺🇲
Thank you for visiting such a beautiful land. I remember my mom taking me on a pilgrimage up that hill at Virgen del Rocio. Brings me back so much good memories.
Que maravilla. Es increíble tu viaje sola. Felicitaciones.
Just loved your interaction with Maria Manuella. It was delightful! These encounters are what make your postings so charming!! That and the way you have so much good information at your fingertips. As an elderly woman who has travelled extensively, I am so grateful for an opportunity to continue my travels vicariously through you, Noraly. Hartelyk bedankt!!
I think I've realized why your videos are so addictive.... they're from my friend sharing the joy , fun and learnings from her travels with me. Thank you.
If this video was 24hrs long, I'd still watch it. So awesome!
I admire your courage. Just doing what you are doing and doing it as a woman, in South America. Having been to Guayaquil several times, despite a certain reputation, I found it possible the most pleasnat city in Ecuador. Good luck and have fun on your travels. I love what you are doing and I will follow you.
dank u well,l you are lovely ;gracias por visitar ecuador ;un buen trabajo educativoi, entretenido ,viva el Ecuador and Netherlands too,,,,,,aaaa la sra del sombrero que ud entrevista es amor , best regards
Thank you, Noraly, for another year of discovering new countries and people with you.
Next year, direction Alaska 😀
Noraly that ride up the side of that mountain and down was spectacular. I love how you find these amazing picturesque back roads, what a ride! Loved the courthouse architecture too. Blessings from Banbasa, Northern India.
5:55 this road looks like it's an old railway rout, now railless. The cut in the rocks, the curve's radius and the embankments are too typical.
I was wondering about that. thanks for answer
Oh, I loved the lady by the church - so fun to hear her tell about her life and little stories about things in the area. Norealy provided her with much to talk about with her friends and family - for months to come!
Bless you. Courage to live life to the fullest and show the rest of us what living vicariously is all about.
I stumbled across your videos and want to thank you for bringing this to our screens! Fantastic. Just fantastic. I spent time in Ecuador as a teenager and also travel there occasionally. You are taken life by the horns and doing things we can only dream about. Thank you!
The past three years I've been to places I will never go to and have seen people I will never met. I've never traveled so far during lock-downs as now😜Thank you Noraly for showing us around. 👊🏻😎
I really like the tour of the city, the courthouse, and of course your always bubbly personality.
what a magnificent country. and the people are beautiful SOLES... GODSPEED INCHY BOOTS, I wish I could travel with you
