I have a 2000. No complaints whatsoever about speed. It's got quite a kick to it. Just my opinion that the CB750 has got to be, not one of the most, but THEE most underrated motorcycle of all time. Perfect cross between a sport bike and a cruiser.

It's what known as a Standard motorcycle, or a UJM (Universal Japanese Motorcycle). Very comfortable and versatile IMHO, a perfect street bike.

They are extremly cheap for what they seem? Is there a catch? I am getting my license soon and dont have much cash as a student so a cb750 seems like a lot for 1-2k.

@@carenthusiast6748 I have a 96 which is my first bike ever. Got it pretty beat up with 30k miles for $2k (probably a bit high for the condition it was in). When I got it it looked like it was the first bike of many people that never took care of it. It had pretty severe electrical issues cause of a stuck starter. Lots of cosmetic damage. Did a ton of work to it, cleaned it up, and replaced some essential parts (chain, sprockets, starter, stator, starter button). I do not plan on ever selling it. I've owned it for 3 years now and since doing that initial work I've only changed the oil every 3k. Bike is at 40k miles now and still looks amazing and going strong. I get lots of looks from older guys telling me they regret selling theirs. If you want a maintenance free, good looking, and reasonably fast bike I highly recommend it. It can feel kinda heavy but that weight makes the stability feel amazing at speed. Max speed is 120mph but I rarely get it that fast. 55-85mph is the sweet zone. As far as a catch the look of it is definitely an acquired taste. Parked next to modern Cbs or sport bikes it can look kinda goofy. Never bothered me. This year I'm repainting it, installing the delkevic 4into1 exhaust, and installing a windshield.

Agree, it's one of the most balanced air-cooled bikes that touches all bases from sanity to near insanity. One of the best bikes for a project, from body work to performance.

If he didn't wheelie he would have been even closer but it's so hard to keep the weight up front.
Great job these 750 Nighthawks are pretty quick!!!

Very collectible bike, and maintenence free with auto adjusting valves and cam chain. Fast 12.65 quarter mile time.

The other bike is built for racing. The nighthawk is a bit racey but its better for commuting and touring. So no suprise here. Though the rider did have a bad start(rider error).

what is the brand of that windshield fairing on the front?

Hi, Love the video/bike! Would love to see more content on your NH750. I have the same black NH 750, a 1998 model with the Vance & Hines exhaust....love it!. I would love to mount the same headlight fairing. Would you happen to know the Emgo model/part# of this particular fairing and where you purchased it? Any problems with fitment and could you possibly show how you fitted/mounted it on the NH? THKS.

I've got a black 97 750 with a Puig black tinted windshield. It just mounts on the side of the two headlight bracket bolts.

The other bike is a 05-06 Gsxr1000. The nighthawk stood no chance but if it was a newer 600cc bike the nighthawk definitely would have had a better chance. I just bought a 84 CB700SC can't wait to race the bike at my local drag strip

    • @TheoreticallyAnEngineer
      @TheoreticallyAnEngineer ปีที่แล้ว

Slow? It's faster than a lot of mid size sport bikes.

@@TheoreticallyAnEngineer I sad a bit on the slow side. Can you not read? These bikes are fast enough, but definitely not going to blow your mind.

@Dustin Jacobs well man it's a very old heavy design. It "might" be just a bit quicker than a stock 400ci bike maybe even a 500ci bike stock....but from what I've seen there is almost zero aftermarket to add power to these things where there is a pretty big aftermarket on current sports bikes.
I just picked up a 92 NH750 myself and I don't plan on winning any races.

The only 2 I've ever heard of are Vance & Hines and Delkevic.
Vance quit making them a while back, but the Delkevic is still making them.

Big difference between an air cooled and liquid cooled bike sadly
