    Does this therapy work on pelvic adhesions? Specifically from surgeries and from being run over by truck across pelvis?

      What a an intense thing to go through! Big hug! In my office, I would pair it with focused extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT). Find a person in your area that will work in that area. This is a quick explanation but I have more if you would like more info.

    Does this work for tendonosis instead of tendonitis? Tendonosis doesn't have scar tissue or inflammation its degeneration of the tendon

      Hi, Yes it does. I know it sounds too good to be true but ESWT will help regenerate the tissue. Study after study shows it. I have 2 of the Piezowave 2 machines

    Can we get rid of ALL the scar tissue on an old muscle injury by using exercises, shockwave therapy, systemic enzymes and massage therapy release techniques? Because generally, people are more likely to reinjure the same muscle and my understanding was that it was because of the remaining scar tissue in the muscle.
    So I'm asking : 1) can we (eventually) get rid of all the scar tissue in a muscle that had for example a 40% tear (grade 2) in the past?
    Other group of questions, while I'm at it - will help other people.
    2) is there a chance that you reopen the wound of a muscle with scar tissue when using shockwave therapy? A muscle that had a tear and then formed scar tissue - again, for example a 40% tear (grade 2) in the past? Basically, can you reinjure the old injured muscle when using shockwave therapy (not just irritation for a few days because of the treatment)?
    3) Is there any risk for using shockwave therapy on degenerated tendons AKA tendonosis? Can you make it worse or it gets better right away (both in how much you can you use it for daily activities and pain)?
    4) Do you have to rest tendons or muscles (old muscle tear) after a treatment?
    5) How many days?
    6) To what extent do you have to rest them?
    7) When can you start doing exercises again?
    8) Also, do you have to do easier exercises than what you were doing before the shockwave treatment?
    I have an old quad injury with scar tissue, 2 tennis elbows (caused by muscle issues), 1 golfer elbow (caused by muscle issues) and 1 golfer elbow that's tendonosis (no muscle issues).

    Can focused shockwave help extend the life of a root canal? Ie, a dead tooth, kill bacteria and prevent it from going south?

      Such an interesting question. I would start with an O3 injection. Find a dentist that works with this gas.

    Been trying to figure out which way to go in purchasing the Radial or Focused. And which brand. The Storz Radial I think goes for $19K. I know, depends on what you want to treat as to which one to get. We all want to be able to treat any problem. Can you recommend a brand you like?

      i'm a big fan of focused shockwave. The wave is different, it's precise and you get more accurate feedback.

    • @dradamfields
      @dradamfields  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have not but, with the research on adhesions and blood-flow playing a role in hair loss, ESWT just makes total sense.

      @@dradamfields certainly. i'm targeting the scalp, and more recently, also the scalp-perimeter muscles (temporalis, frontalis, occipitalis) - not sure how well EWST works for those tense/contracted muscles, but we'll see what happens. i find it very interesting that EWST is rarely if ever discussed as a potential hair loss therapy (my own research has yielded very little on this, and it seems like even John hadn't considered it before) though maybe i'm missing something.

    Thanks very much for the info ! Is there any risk with the shockwave therapy ?

    • @dradamfields
      @dradamfields  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a very low risk therapy if you use "focused" shockwave therapy. The radial shockwave has some contraindications like over the lungs.

    Since calcification and fibrosis are heavily involved in male pattern baldness due to inflammatory processes - do you think this therapy might be a better way of breaking it up and rebuilding the vasculiture rather than painful microneedling and/or time consuming detumescense? Do you know anyone who's attempted it?

    Hi Dr Adam Fields, I’m trying to reach out to see what videos you recommend for me. Every time I lay on my right side to sleep I have woken up with extremely loud ringing in my left ear. I can’t work out if it is neck or jaw related but it worsens with forward head posture. Should I be doing tmj/Eustachian tube/neck videos you have? I just want to get on the right track and Drs can’t seem to figure it out I have no hearing loss at this stage.

      No blood thinners with Radial ESWT. It's debatable with fESWT. I would use it if is all you have access to but only 1x/week and start isometric strengthening of your soleus and gastrocnemius.

      Hey Gary, ESWT is giving guys like you and me hope. Search for someone in your area. I would break up the scar tissue and stimulate some new collagen and then go to stem cells if you still need it. However, strengthening is a key component.
