This will also show you whether it is necessary to cite the Immigration Rules in your cover letter and how you can download a letter template for your immigration application.

I applied for the FLRM form. I'm applying for the spouse visa extension after 2.5 years. I have raise a complaints to home office on 30/9 and they send an email and told me that I'm on the 10 years route. I was confused about that because I met my income requirement which is over £18600 and I have US passport as the English requirement. IS there anyway that we can contact UKVI immediately as I have an important trip on next mid of NOV ? Shall I send the chasing letter or supporting documents to UKVI office again for them to review? Thank you for this video, it is quite explanatory and helpful. Do you by chance have something/template for a letter to the HM Office from my employer regarding why i cannot submit my old passport for passport renewal?
So i want to renew my passport but i cannot send in my old passport as i still have a couple of valid visas in it and the visa of the country i currently stay and i travel alot. i had earlier sent them a copy of all the pages in my passport but now they want a letter from my employer stating why i cant send in my old passport.
There is no template for this. But your employer can just confirm that they are your employer and then explain the reason for your inability to provide the passport.

I'm sorry to ask here, but I have a complicated Visa application and have consulted an immigration advisor. is a 4-page cover letter, with itemised headings and broken into relevant parts OK? I am at a loss as to whether this is too much? The Immigration advisor(s) write, there is no one 'set rule' on providing a letter, its' content and length as each case is different. Thanks so much. Since you paid your immigration advisor, you should trust their discretion on how to write the cover letter that they need to submit to the Home Office. If you have a complicated immigration history, they would have included case law and sections of Immigration Rules to justify their representation. But for straightforward cases and for individual applicants who are doing the application themselves, the Home Office does not expect knowledge of Immigration Rules or case law. What is important is for the facts to be be made known, not what the case law/Immigration Rules that applied to the specific case.

Thank you for this letter. I put the wrong year on one of the questions and I wanted to write a cover letter to make them aware of this. If it’s just the year that I made a mistake on will they accept the cover letter? Also I wanted to check as I had a job seeker allowance back in 2018 but not anymore they wanted documents 12 months prior to my application date. Would this not apply to me on would I still need to give them this.
If they asked you should provide if you can. If not, then explain why you can't in your cover letter.
I also put that I was single because this was the option on my application that made sense but elaborated that I have a partner and I’m unmarried. Can I elaborate in my cover letter that we do not live together as I know an unmarried partner means you live together?

Once your 10year is over just apply for indefinite . Any time after 03/2023 if you had no break in last 10 years.

Hello madam , could you please advice me about that .I came from my country under spouse visa they give me 2 years and 9 month .after I applied for visa and they give me 2 years and half under 10 route becouse the income under 18000. And I stayed until 2 years finish and I already pay tax for last 3 years above 18600 and pass English test , and they put me under 5 years route and they said if you want to apply for indefinite you have to stay at least 5 years under this route . Now I pass already 6 years . If I will wait 5 years more it will be 11 years and this doesn’t make sense. Could you advice me please
You can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain after you have resided in the UK for 10 years. If you have been placed on a 10 year route and then 5 year route, then you cannot really apply after 5 years because you need to be on the 5 year route consecutively. Just wait for another 4 years and then apply for the ILR under the long residence route.
Thank you for this video which I found very interesting. I am currently on leave to remain on ten year partner route because I didn't meet the financial requirements last time. But now I do meet all the requirements through self employment. I would like now to switch from ten year route to five year route as I comply with all the requirements. Thank you so much for this. I have a question. When I applied for my ILR in 2013, it was refused. I appealed and the judge overturned the refusal and I got my ILR. Do I need to mention this in my covering letter for naturalisation application? I would really appreciate your response. Thank you very much.
I would mention it in cover letter with a copy of the judgment or cite the appeal reference number. Best to mention anything that you are unsure of than have the HO discover something which you've forgot to mention.

This usually happens, but doesn't mean the status is invalid. It just means, the Home Office platform is down. Keep trying.
Hi I made an application for naturalisation. I’ve submitted my form and booked an appointment for biometric. But I realised that I made a mistake about my referee. ( one referee should have a profession)
I’ve cancelled my biometric appointment. Now should I cancel the application form as well and apply from beginning or find another referee and write a letter which describes the situation and scan it? Thank you 🙏
I think its best if you write a cover letter explaining that you did the referee section wrong. If you can find a referee with a professional standing in the mean time, ask them to complete a referee declaration form and make a sepearte letter that contains their: Full name, address for the last 3 years, date of birth, profession, mobile number, email address, British passport number and relationship to you (Call this letter "referee 3". Upload this in the upload section along side the cover letter in the Sopra Steria website.
In total you should now have: a cover letter, referee declaration form and the letter with the new referee's details. You should be all good now :)

Yes, you can still apply forthe fee waiver. They should get back to you within 2 weeks of applying so you have time. If you have further questions, book an online consultation.
Dear Madam , I applied for a fee waiver last monday. I have not yet received any response from the HO. My visa expires on the 9th of May.usually How long does the home office take to send me a reply ? What would happen if I do not get a reply before my visa expires ? Thanking you in advance.
Make sure you submit your application before your visa expiry date. You can complete that now and as soon as you receive your decision you can submit it. The latest you can submit your application will be the 8th of May. They should reply within 10 days. If you haven't heard from them by then you need to submit and pay the fees if you don't want to overstay and affect your future immigration status (for example you will lose your 5 year route if you overstay).

@@bestfabiyi6226 only if you have joint documents. If you are proving documents in his name only he needs to sign Part 3. Otherwise only Part 1 needs signing.
You can call the EU resolution centre and ask them what needs to be done. They will be able to tell you what you need to do to apply for your son.

How do we know which address to send it to?
There is no address for the Home Office if you are writing a cover letter with your application. You submit the cover letter with your documents.
Hello Madame, please under the naturalisation online process one of the steps asks if I have had any previous immigration applications. Yes/No.
Please does this include past visit visas? I’m really confused about the part.
It further asks name under which application was made? Is that my name or the name of type application that was made i.e visit visa?

Please read the questions properly. If it says any immigration applications, then yes, include visit visas. If you can't remember the dates of application, just an estimated date should be fine.
"Under what name..." this asks if you had used a different name before. If you used the same name, then write as is.
