The cupola attaches only one way, and it's the wrong way. It has a scope in the middle rear, but it's supposed to have a scope in the middle front. This is an easy problem to fix, if you know about it. Just remove the locating tab. But it's amazing that Takom didn't catch it. These cupolas are not rare and obscure, they're on other German tanks that Takom already kitted.
Good video... quick and to the point. We all know building a kit is the true test. A suggestion for a future review... show the kit painting/decal choices. Thanks.
Thank you for the review! The molded zimmerit looks better than in the Dragon kits for sure. And, all the extra goodies set it apart. I am looking forward to your greyscale painting on this....that is a cool idea!
Cheers mate! They've definitely given me the option to rid myself of dragon, so that's a win I feel. I'm going to have a bunch of fun trying the grey scale, I've been looking at having a go for a long while now!
Tiger I mit Zimmerit in Panzergrau ?
Hallo! My German isn't too good, but I believe you misunderstood my meaning, I will be painting this tank to look like a WW2 photograph, not as an early tiger in grey, but in the grey scale photo, black and white. Like this photo, but a mid tiger: encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT1sxhv908_MFYgSpAmPUNakFo_Qt1pQuVtRw&usqp=CAU
I got this kit as part of the TAKOM BIG BOX. It's an awesome kit. Tons of parts and one of the most enjoyable builds. I'm not crazy about the tracks and plan on using Tamiya rubber band tracks
Takom really rather than attacking him need to employ David Bryden to fix the numerous accuracy issues. Imagine Dragon accuracy with Takom build and engineering. Mind you the Takom Apache has the worst instructions in history so not everyone is immune. Nice build good to see some Tiger options but little accuracy errors are just lazy these days from Takom as the information is out there. Still nice to see Dragon getting well priced competition!
I agree mate, it's wild they don't seek his input with the finer accuracy and details. Oh no... I bought the Apache kit with excitement, sounds like I'm in for a rough one!
Tamiya is still Tamiya. The issue with these tigers are you need to actually look at real.tanks to figure out which version you can do. But I'm still a dragon lover. I hate the stupid tracks in this kit Lol. It's still a good kit but there are plenty of great tiger kits out there. Asfor Tamiya? Just look at their new kits? The leoA7 is spectacular and Tamiya kits come with 3d designed crew. I'll take ease of assembly over everything else Tamiya just gives you a really good canvas to go to town.
Depends on what you're chasing, I firmly believe. Tamiya is the simple straight forward method for sure, but I much prefer a higher parts count and more to do, being more of a builder than a painter. I also don't really care for the historical accuracy for the most part. If there's one thing I've taken good notice of, it's how wild arguments over the smallest detail can get in the armour community - to summarize, I like a fun build over all. That being said, I can't say I've done any modern armour beyond the old Tamiya Leopard 35064, so I may have to check that out.@@willthorson4543
It works quite well actually, the 300 odd Warhammer miniatures in my office were made with it, along with roughly 30 current tanks on my armour shelf and more. As I said, everyone has preferences and this glue works well with how I use it 8)
@@Cesko_Plny_Fialovejch_Zmrdu Es scheint eher, dass du nicht damit umgehen kannst ! This is just glue sniffing with extra steps...
Love the content mate keep it coming, glad to hear your excitement about this kit!
Caught red handed bro 😆
Thank you dude, I'll keep it up!

My box of three just arrived. They look very nice.
Excellent mate, have you started the build yet?
Have to clear the Pz 38(t) currently on my bench first! @@Beastsbuilds
Ahh! Good point, don't want to swamp yourself with too many at the same time eh!
Just got mine 😀
@@dirk6001 It's a big box, right? 👍🏻
My big box is coming soon, im so exicted to start building them
They're extremely enjoyable mate, I'm contemplating building the late one next!
@dreaded-88 oh, I'm thinking of building that one first, regular or command variant
I'd say command honestly, I'm a huge fan of all the antennae the variant sports, just looks the goods in my opinion!

Fast build, good job 👍
Cheers mate! ✌️
Takom kits are excellent, reasonably priced when compared to Dragon which are more expensive, confusing manuals and overcomplicated to build.
Hi. A nice build and thanks for a great video. Can you tell me if the tracks are the mirrored version? Many thanks and I look forward to more vids
G'day mate! Thank you kindly, the tracks aren't mirrored, I've just double checked this one on the shelf.
Many thanks

Takom is on the right path with these Tigers and the Blitz series...Beats Tamiya in their own game, and convincingly so imho.
The detail, extra options and general ease of build are putting them ahead, and I'm all for it!

Спасибо за обзор на новинку.
The tracks are over engineered and difficult that’s why the other commenters are going to change them. I wouldn’t build another one.
I found them to be excellent, such is the way with differing preferences! 😄
WHO still uses Revell glue? Jesus Christ buy yourself some Tamiya
Quite a lot of folks, and I'm happy to continue doing so! Everyone has preferences, mate.
