Tamiya 1/35 Tiger I【First homemade Zimmerit coating】

Hello everyone. This time I would like to show you Tamiya 1/35 Tiger 1 tank.
I have been using the same Tamiya engine maintenance set.
I tried to make a composition that I have not done so much before. And this time
I applied Zimmerit coating by myself using putty. I like the fact that I can control the peeling and damage of the coating by coating it myself.

同じくタミヤのエンジン整備セットを使って、今まで
あまりやったことのない構図にしてみました。そして今回は
パテを使ってツィンメリットコーティングを自分で施してみました。自分でコーティングすることで、コーティングの剥がれやダメージをコントロール出来るのがいいですね。

My daughter bought me two Tiger 1 tanks and a Sherman easy eight for Christmas.
My stash currently is a total of 7 models, 5 tanks and 1 Tomcat, and a Harrier.
When I was 15, my two brothers and I amassed 400 kits only to have them stolen out of storage
I swore I would never get back into model building but needed a hobby and decided why not.

🛵 Before removing wheels and other running gear parts, i first add nicks and dents with an engraving tool. Then a quick coating of liquid cement adds a little texture and finally a black lacquer spray on the backs and insides for shading and to ensure no bare plastic is visible. A heavy tank has almost no smooth parts. Even the gun barrel can be rough and pitted.

for oil painting what brand do you use and what is the liquid on your brush when you are applying it?

I use Holbein and AK as my brands of oil paints.
I also use a thinning solution for oil paints.
