TIGER I - Part 1 - 1/35 TRUMPETER - Tank Model - [ model building ]

- The Tiger I tank was made by Tamiya, and I had made the early type and the late type.
This time, I will make a Tiger I (mid-term model) that I have not built yet with a kit from a Chinese manufacturer, Trumpeter.
The big point of this kit for me is the parts for Twin Merit Coating which are shaped in plastic.
Unlike Tamiya's film-coated parts, it is a type that uses adhesive to stick.
It was a point that attracted a lot of interest, such as its usability and details.
Is it somewhat better than Tamiya's in terms of reality...?
In addition, the texture expression that is firmly built down to the details, and the richness of detailed parts are also quite good.
Even so, the number of parts is moderately suppressed, so the production itself is extremely smooth (except for the tracks), and it is a well-made kit.
It's not a good thing to compare, but when I compare it with Tamiya's Tiger I kit, which feels old now,
For me, who was a little reluctant to use kits from overseas manufacturers other than Tamiya,
It was a good opportunity to get a real and strong sense of the efforts and momentum of the various overseas manufacturers that have emerged more and more in recent years.

タイガーI 戦車はタミヤのキットで初期型と後期型を作った事があったのです。
今回はまだ作った事のないタイガーI（中期型）を中国のメーカー、トランペッターのキットで作ります。
私にとってこのキットの大きなポイントは、プラスチックで整形されたツインメリットコーティングのパーツです。
タミヤのフィルム製のコーティングパーツとは違い、接着剤を使い貼り付けるタイプ。
その使用感とデテールなど、多いに興味惹かれるポイントでした。
リアリティーに関してはタミヤ製の物よりも幾分優れているでしょうか・・・・？
他にも細部までしっかりと作り込まれた質感表現や、細やかなパーツの充実ぶりも中々のもです。
それでいて適度に抑えられたパーツ数であるため製作自体も極めてスムーズ（履帯を除く）、良く出来たキットです。
比べるのは良くない事ですが、現在ではもう古くなってしまった感のあるタミヤのタイガーI のキットと比較する時、
タミヤ以外の海外メーカーのキットをいささか敬遠していた私にとって、
近年ますます台頭する様々な海外メーカーの努力とその勢いを、改めてリアルに強く感じ取れる良い機会となりました。

Great video and one which I have saved . I only recently (two weeks ago) completed this wonderful kit from Trumpeter .
The only alteration as it were I did was I used the zimmerit kit from ATAK which is more accurate in my opinion and built the Tiger in the markings of the schwere Pz.Abt. 502 .
I have Tamiya's early production Tiger 1 in my stash with the etched and detail parts from Aber which I have in my stash and will build applying winter camo and weathering techniques as used by yourself .
The Zimmerit parts included in this kit are too neat and unrealistic. I think changing to ATAK was the right choice. Let's enjoy this fun hobby to the fullest. Thank you for your comment.🍺🍺🍺
Another inspirational build. Love your work. I have this kit and I'll try the Zim damage you created etc and try a winter white wash camo, which I think may lift the level of detail (as I don't have your skills 😎)

Very nice build, glad to see that Trumpeter's tiger looks quite fine at the end (have my own experience only with Dragon, some RFM and Tamiya). Maybe you should burn the main towing cables a bit too, front loop looks a bit stiff to me. Nice work with zimmerit and good inspiration with branches for camouflage. Looking forward for painting and weathering 👏👍

The wheels have an error. The small disc should be used when the wheel is NOT present - it should not be applied on top of the wheel.

Roughly fill in the gaps with epoxy putty in advance, and then just apply and harden the epoxy adhesive.🍉🍉🍉

This is what the mid-range wheels look like. No problem.🍺
Also, the center of the wheel has a small optional wheel cap. It may be a specification that you don't see very often. Thank you for always watching.🍔

I'm guessing it not your first tiger...how do you compare trumpeter with other brands??
If you roughly categorize the kits into Dragon series and Tamiya series, you can say that this kit is close to Tamiya's kit. The parts are not extremely subdivided and are very easy to assemble. Still, the details of the details are also reproduced firmly. It's a well balanced kit. Compared to Tamiya's Tiger kit, this new kit may be slightly superior in terms of precision and attention to detail.👍

believe it or not, in my area. this kit is only 23usd and it surprisingly good in details but like all chinese manufracturers, suffers with certain fitting issues.

Мне не нравится какой беспорядок получается на танке. Я не верю, что немецкие офицеры, при всей своей выучке и педантичности, позволяли экипажу на моторное отделение скидывать хлам. Причём трудно представить кто вообще в здравом уме на боевой машине будет перевозить в открытом виде боеприпасы, да ещё и на крыше моторного отделения. И я молчу про пустую гильзу. Очень красивые работы, но пытаясь придать им жизни вы просто идёте в разрез со здравым смыслом
Это всего лишь игрушечный танк, и я с ним играю. Хоть ты и здравомыслящий взрослый человек, неужели ты не способен понять такие вещи? Это жалко.🐷🐷🐷
