Very rare to find a good child actor. Part of the reason I hate child actors.... and children in general i guess, but that's not because some are actors
The lyric "I know you're soul is not tainted, even though you've been told so." is what made this song my favorite. I was raised Baptist. And i was told it was my fault that my grandfather died cause i didnt pray enough and i didnt fully love god, later it was when i realized i was bi and hearing all the sermons about how it was wrong hurt alot. At one point i really believed the church and i fully believed that i was horrible and messed up untill finally i broke free. That single lyric summed up all my religious trauma and made me truly love and appreciate this band.
As a person raised Catholic, I can say you aren't alone in your experience. My parents always told me if I ended up being one of those sinful people who have sex with the same gender, or those that have 'pronouns' I'd immediately be outcasted and sent to hell. Now I'm in college and I have a s/o and use they/them pronouns. I haven't spoken to them since I came out, and I couldn't be happier.
I'm very sorry to hear about your struggles to find your identity amidst the environment you grew up in. I thankfully didn't grow up with with a religious influence in my life, but that still didn't really stop the people I knew from practically demonising various sexualities & gender identities that differed from the "norm". People I was supposed to look up to and learn from indirectly telling me that I was wrong or a mistake fucking sucked. I hope you're doing much better nowadays anyway, my friendo.
I was in a simular experience with the church. When i was in school, i took it to heart and it had me stressing worse than school was because i tried so hard to be like the bible wanted me to be, but i had a job working night shift and decided to start doing my own thing. I have since then grown in many ways becoming even better than that church wanted me to be. I've now become non-denominational, because it allows me to freely think for myself rather than belive what the preacher is telling me, but aside from the church, my life is going better than ever imo. Sorry about how the church did you though. Thats just wrong in every way.
I just realised that the song's name not only is the old English word for church, but remarkably close to "Circe" who was an enchantress in Greek mythology, and fairly close to "cicatrice", which is French for "scar".. a perfect word for what the music video conveyed
I think it’s a play on Clarice from Silence Of the Lambs. As well as all the other complex connotations that come out of that complicated brain of his.
And a cockatrice is a rooster-like dragon from Greek mythology that can turn anyone who looks at its eyes into stone, kind of like another well known spooky girl (Medusa)
The kid is God/inner child, the girl is cirice the enchantress church/outer world/earth, and them being prevented from holding hands has an obvious message behind it. Circe is the "circel/circle" that the church dances around and avoids the true message
Thing is the lead singer is the one playing most/all the instruments in the recording of the song 😂 he only has other musicians join him on tour for the most part
Guitar solos are a huge part of Rock!! Unfortunately, alot of modern bands have steered away from it. Most likely why it's strange for you to hear a band feature the guitar solo. Dig deeper into the history of rock...you'll find LOADS of prominent guitar solos!! 😁
Ghost is one of the greatsat bands of our time. Some bands comes earlier and were misunderstood because that, but Ghost came too late. 10 years earlier and they would be even greater than they are.
What a riff. I discovered this band only a week ago and am kicking myself for not discovering them sooner. Great songwriting. My favourite band to come out of the 21st century.
I’m in the video and that kid has star quality 100% They did a full 8 hours and he was amped up and ready to go the whole time! Some of the other kids were getting tired but he knew he was the star!!
@@ImNHTVAlot of Christians and churches do treat people this way, which is sad, but the truth is our bodies and souls belong to God and Jesus paid the debt of our sin that we were born into to save us from being separated from Him forever, and God does not want that, Jesus loves us, He created us and wants us to choose to be with Him forever in His family as His Children. It is not God or Jesus that reminds us of our sins to make us feel rotten, it is Satan that does that. Satan is the constant accuser. As soon as we repent of our sin, no matter how bad it is, God forgives and forgets our sin as far as the East is from the West and we can be joyful that we are loved amd forgiven by Jesus.Jesus will never persecute you for sins that you already repented for and stopped doing.. What does repent mean? It doesn't just mean saying sorry God halfassedly and planning to keep doing it, it is a complete change of heart to where you you see that sin and the aftermath of how it hurts other people through God's eyes and you no longer want to commit that sin anymore in your soul, and in fact even the thought of commiting that sin again disgusts you.. It is the devil that keeps reminding you of the sins you've already commited to make you feel constant shame and make you believe that Jesus doesn't love you or want you because of it, and that is a LIE and the devil is a LIAR. Jesus has saved me many times through absolute miracles , and has been with me through my darkest times. The Holy Spirit even struck me and told me in my soul loud and clear that, " You will go through something very painful, but I will be with you". I knew right then and there that someone I loved was going to die. I was worried it was going to be my mother. It wasn't. That night I got a phone call that my father was doing well, so the next morning I traveled to see him and I got to say my goodbyes. He passed away when I went to see him again the following morning right before I got there. One time I was really sad and missing my father and recieved a vision of things to come of him and my grandfather under a huuuuge tree next to water laughing at our pets carrying on that were also there in heaven. His macaw Louie was at the very top of that huge tree hanging upside down on a branch and flapping his wings and screeching and it echoed through the mountains and my dad and grandfather were laughing and I could feel the joy and happiness. I started thinking the vision was all just in my head to comfort myself in denial and was feeling sad..And then the pastor at my church put a slide up on the big projector and it was the exact scene I described. The huge tree near the water, and the exact mountains in the background. Every thing was the the exact same except my dad, grandpa, and pets weren't in that picture under the tree. The pastor asked the congregation, "do you know what kind of tree this is?" I didn't. He said it's an English Oak tree and our church was English Oaks church. It all had to do with his sermon of being rooted near the living water...I was so amazed that I took out my camera phone and took a picture of the pastor preaching with that slide on the projector in the background. I couldn't believe it. I know Jesus is with me through the Holy Spirit, protecting me, guiding me, and comforting me. That was just one of the many times the Holy Spirit talked to me or angels protected me.. Jesus loves you too. Seek Him and you will find Him and know Him and you will feel peace and joy.
@@overthecounterbeanie There is a film named that, I think. It was actually a phrase used a lot in the 80s. When there was an actual "Satanic Panic" , IE Dungeons & Dragons and heavy metal backmasking controversies, etc.

Seen this band live. They are great. But I want to take a moment to appreciate this music video, and all the talented young folks they got to perform in it, as well as the directing and cinematography. Really great throwback horror vibes, really great presence in the principal characters. Bravo.
I was there and in the video and can attest to their talent. They all were very professional and could actually play! The singer kid was amped up the whole time. Tobias was there and kinda directing it but they did have an actual director for the kids.
Seen them live and talked to the cardinal on stage. I have been a fan since the second album always hoping I could see papa2 but seeing them during the rats tour was the best possible option. All their best songs had time to come out!
After many years of dull crap… we finally have bands coming back with “manly” music, using real instrumental talent, and neglecting stupid poetic rap… all that sounds alike. I’m 70 years old, and walking round with Ghost shirts on. They deserve as much advertisement as possible. Videos are as great and original as the 80’s.
@@dancindavey1515 You got me beat Davey,I'm just a young 58 years, seen Judas Priest with a little support act called iron maiden back in the day.I can't get enough of Ghost.
I just fucking love how they honour the horror movie CARRIE at the end. Its such a beautiful video and let's not forget about the kid's performance as Baby Papa!! He KILLED it!!
@@amyshort5625 So you listen to a band that actively promotes satanic imagery and the abolition of religion and Christianity in general cause its shit, and go to church? That seems really backwards.
I feel like some people forget that you can enjoy good heavy music with dark themes while not being some Satan worshiping, child sacrificing, blood drinking, anti christ. I just like the toons man
Ghost is such a great band. You can hear so many influences in their music by old school goth bands like Type O- and heavier rock/metal bands. We needed a band like this!
I keep hearing people say that they're not a fan of Papa's vocals, that they don't sound like a metal band. But it's the smoothness to their sound that makes it more disturbing and enticing. Especially in this song and He Is. They don't have to be screaming incoherently like some bands do to grab your attention and sound hardcore, they do it in their own incredible way.
Ghost have never painted themselves as a purely Metal band. Of course Metal is a major influence on their music but they are as equally influenced by music such as Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkel and Pink Floyd as they are Heavy Metal. The negative reaction from Metal fans towards this band shows more of their close-minded ignorance than it does Ghost's music, which is flawless.
+Peace Dweller I guess I see them falling under the metal category because they do as well, in an interview (I can't remember if it was Omega or Special) they said they don't really care if other people don't see them as a Metal band because they do. But I agree, one of the wonderful things about this band is their multi genre influence.
My mother is a volunteer for the Red Cross and she was on the festival Graspop. She usually doesn't like anything that comes close to metal but she told us she suddenly heard music that wasn't that "hard" as everthing else. And she told us she nearly liked it. For me personally the fact that I haven't seen any other band like them makes me love them just because they are different and still great in their own way.
God, it really feels like he means what he's singing to her. This is an awesome video! Both were the perfect actors for this. And the charisma of the boy is especially spectacular. This video gives me chills every time! Absolutely bad ass!
As a Satanist, this describes the beauty of my relationship with my Father. As a conduit,, he probably did mean every word he was singing to her. Truly beautiful
I am in the same boat. My love for Gothic inspired music has become so heavy in the last couple days. I think I need to revamp my lifestyle. This song hits a very playful satanic draw deep within me I didn't realize was there. lol. Very Black Metal aesthetically inspired.
Cirice hits me so hard for most of the lines. I can't explain how it feels mildly toxic (prolly because can't you see that you're lost) but also loving and truly seeing the other person.
I can see that, but I feel more like it is a person who is lost and needs an anchor to help her get out. Once she is out and can stand on her own two feet, she will not need the anchor anymore. The anchor is there to prevent her from getting lost for the time being.
This song is quite literally about the Devil seeing a young woman in her time of need and telling her exactly what she wants to hear to entrap her in his snare (the mellow voice backed by the heavy and sinister instrumental line is used to convey this dichotomy of the Persona worn and the true intent). This song is a representation of how a cult or an abusive relationship is born in general, so it definitely falls more into the "completely toxic" that just "mildly toxic"
@@MsLemon42 I mean, both are true. The song is meant to be both a criticism of religious indoctrination and an example of religious indoctrination. Essentially, "Don't join their weird religious cult because they said that they can help fix your problems, join our weird religious cult because we can help fix your problems."
I love this music video so much. It's legitimately like the finale of a dark 80s movie about a psychic, outsider young girl who is presented with the choice of either suppressing herself and staying in line with society or being true to herself and choosing to embrace what makes her an outsider, and she chooses the latter. The textures and colours and lighting of the video are just gorgeous.
This video was my introduction to Ghost. When I first heard that crunchy guitar riff, I was intrigued. When I first heard “I can feel the thunder that’s breaking in your heart,” I was floored. It’s been two weeks since then and I’ve heard all of their music, have two t shirts coming in the mail, and have tickets to a ritual next month. “From now our merge is eternal.”
I’m so grateful that this song was in my recommended on spotify because it’s what led me to find such a great band that is one of my favourites to this day
Hey man, have you tried "Hunter's Moon", "He Is" or "Life Eternal"? And before listening, check a video about the Ghost Iceberg, to learn about the band a bit.
Depends on where you go for your music. Steer away from American Idol, they mostly do slow but loud ballads or country. Listen to the latest rock and metal radio stations, and absolutely get on TH-cam. Good new rock is still out there if you know where to look!

This whole album... and the band itself...is simply amazing! Just saw them last night in SLC, Utah and they crushed it! I've been to a LOT of concerts in my 53 years and those two guitarists have to be amongst the most talented musicians I have ever witnessed. I mean...stellar technical ability and showmanship! On a funny note, when I play this song for people I know, they LOVE it and ask what it's about. I live in Utah, so those are typically deeply religious people. I'm a pretty blunt guy, so I straight-up tell them the truth....I'll leave it at that. 😉
I'm so proud of Ghost for making it to the Grammys !!!!! This is so awesome!!!!! Even though I was only playing the role of Cirice in the video and didn't contribute to the making of the music, this is still so cool!!!!! To those who were on set of "Cirice" do you remember what I said right before I left the set? I said: " See you at the Grammys"! I guess I can predict the future too👻👻👻 GHOST WILL WIN!!!
I'm dying at the kid playing Papa, I can just imagine them directing how he should move like "do some swoopy cool stuff with your arms. And wiggle your fingers too. Be spooky and Pope-y."
@@TheNerferious It is about Satan knowing your heart and wanting you to follow. I can see through the scars inside you ... don't you know that you're lost without me?
This has got to be one of the best music videos ever made, man. The setup getting you used to a churchy, disarmed atmosphere.. and then "dum-BAM" and a HEAVY guitar riff and a cut to multicoloured stage lights in fog (totally departed from the atmosphere), hooded figures with metal masks, and the phenomenal acting of the kid playing Papa. It makes it feel wrong, sinister, hellish, perverted (in the corruption sense).. like how the parents must feel, really making it hit harder, it's great. The lead actor's first and second shots, his bobbing into frame seems so unnatural combined with his face paint and hidden eyes and his sort of twisting of his cross staff.. it's so good. Plus how when he talks directly to the girl, his face is still and direct. And I love his posing with the shot of him grasping her hand and the mic stand as an anchor. And then throughout, the Ghoul on the huge drum really emphasizing the "rumble" that is the new bass drum component to the song, making it feel even more "epic" and warsong-y. And whoever was playing the couple being choked by her at the end must've been having the BEST time.
People of Societah! Repent of your adultery, your idols, and your sin. Otherwise, you and your lands will be overcome by pestilence, sword, and famine.
Don't you just hate it when you go to your kid's talent show at school and there is always this kid who starts a satanic ritual and you have to stay all the way till the end 'cause you're all like possessed and shit.

The little papa has such stage presence it's amazing like the way he casual reaches up for the mic while holding her hand or casual walks back to the mic like the principal isn't choking to death❤️
My nieces are pretty close - this summer the eldest (who is 8) went to see Iron Maiden with her dad, as her first "real" concert. She was there in a vintage tee cut down to fit her, with blue streaks in her hair, throwing the horns as hard as anyone else. She was so excited to see both Bruce and Eddie. What a hell of a kid!
I had never heard any Ghost before I went to an Iron Maiden concert a few years ago and Ghost opened for them. When this song came on I knew the tune already; it was like I was hearing it again. It was the weirdest feeling I've ever had in my life. I think Ghost might actually be his herald.
Tengo 42 y descubrí ésta banda gracias a mi hijo de 16. De pequeño lo llevé a recitales de rock... veo que de algo sirvió todo eso. No puedo dejar de escuchar Ghost. Gracias hijo!😊
I absolutely love the two people just looking on all excited, totally not caring like the rest are. Don't care who they're meant to be, if anyone, just think it's great.
If you mean the couple that is bored with the talent show in the begging, and then cheering at the end, I love that part too. I feel if I had a mate that would be us.
That couple reminds me of me and my guy. I understand and share their enthusiasm. If not for the internet, we'd have no chance to listen to great music. In our little slice of the midwest hardly anyone listens to metal: just country, pop, country, country, oh, and country. It's nauseating. And you can't drive half a block without driving by a church.
The line "I know your soul is not tainted even though you've been told so" makes me think of my younger self and sister. For me I was raised catholic and told that it was my fault for what happened to Jesus and I was born with sin, they also took me to church rather than letting me be a kid on Sunday mornings. My younger sister is 12 and going the same path so once she understands a bit more I'll tell her that she is free.
+Gern Blensten It's so true though. I still remember an interview I saw quite a while ago where one of the Nameless Ghouls said that one of the band's favorite albums is Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys cause "it sounds like a mix between sunshine and complete dystopic hell." Ghost really has unsettling melodic sounds down pat.
Surely it's most intriguing and emotive than hearing most black/death metal singers beeing in a race to see who''s the real DEMON while singing strange words in obscure and unintelligible ways...
I know! I accidentally found them in February. I'm officially obsessed with this band now. Love, love, love them. Just got three of their CDs and I'm going to get them all. Next time they tour the U.S. I'm going to see them, no matter where they are. And I'm an old Rock N Roll broad, 65 years old. Party on!
As a seasoned rock musician and a songwriter I feel qualified to state as an objective fact that the opening riff is one of the greatest ever in the history of rock music.
Whenever I hear this song, I can just tell that this band were really going for it in so many ways while having fun and staying true to themselves. Something that hits you in all great music.
I will never forget the first time I heard this song and watched this video. It was shortly before meliora came out and they were solidified as one of the biggest bands in music. A metal head girl I know shared it on Facebook (the thumbnail was the devil pope image I’ve never seen before) and I remember going wow this is going to be some crazy brutal metal band. I was so shocked and happily confused when I heard the vocals. From then on I knew this band was special. Happy to say I caught them live before anyone even knew anyone in the bands identities. They brought true excitement back to rock music for a while. Even my friends who weren’t into rock music got into it. They made some insanely fire merch too. I’ll always love this band.
I thought the same thing too but Sister Imperator left Papa Nihil and wasn't the mother of any of the other Papa's. It's only speculation but Copia seems to be their lovechild, and the only child that they ever had.

One of the nicest, most polite, AMAZING individuals in music I think I've ever met, and I've met a bunch... The guy genuinely cares about not only his fans, but his bandmates. The level of respect he exudes for his fans is palpable. I have never experienced it before... Not only an amazing musician, but an amazing person as well.
Never heard of this band until this morning searching for Badflowers song Ghost, but I like them, and good to hear fans say things like that about bands/musicians/performers. If they make it within a few hundred miles of Cincinnati Ohio, USA I'll be sure to see them.

Found out about these purely by accident! Saw them and fell in love with them. This is from someone born in the 60's and grew up with punk rock, the beginning of thrash and death metal. Venom Motorhead etc. Then Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer Kreator, Testament, Morbid Angel and so on. In fact I've lost count of the amount of times Then there is Sabbath, Meryful Fate, BOC, Death SS and the others that Ghost can be listed alongside. I listened to them all over the decades, and Ghost are just a fantastic modern day continuity of the process. For those who slate em! It's rock music! Whatever the influence! It matters not of the label. They are fantastic at what they do, and have to be seen live, in order to truly appreciate the absurd genius that is Ghost. They have a strange mesmerising factor to them and a beauty all of their own. I love extreme music and am currently listening to Kreator BUT can't wait to see Ghost at bloodstock this year! Cue the "This isn't metal" idiots! If you listen to music that only fits your stupid image or think that music has to define your image. You haven't a clue!
I saw them live today in San Francisco and I couldn't agree more with your description...those same exact thoughts were running through my head as I listened to them
Just recently stumbled upon this after watching Ghost perform Call Me Little Sunshine on the Jimmy Kimmel show!!! I have done much 'catching up' over the past few weeks, ordered as many of the CDs as I can get, and watched as many of the video clips on TH-cam as I can to get current!!! This band is not just a band.. They are an experience.. A movement!! To all the ghost fans out there - Sorry I am late to the party!! But please consider me one of the clergy!!!
My favorite part of it all is how those 2 people are sitting there loving this while everyone else is hating the music and being choked out eventually.
This is how I sometimes feel working with youth. Too many times, parents and coworkers don’t understand the dark creativity of the “weirdos” (a term I use endearingly). The weirdo kids are too X or too Y, not enough A or B. And that’s fine! They are great at being X! Let’s nurture X! Like the two adults clapping at the end, I am their biggest fan!! I was like Cirice growing up, reaching out for something true to myself but being held back by social expectations, held back by religious cult nonsense I was subjected to. So I support the weird kids because I was a weird kid needing support. I love the child actors here, but the clapping adults at the end are so necessary. I feel either end of my life’s story in this music video.
@@MsLemon42 - It's like being an 'outcast' because you don't fill the 'cookie cutter mold' back in the high school days.. SO many good kids marginalized because they did not 'fit in' to a clique.. I just think about how many amazing young souls this nation has lost - kids that could have been SO much more if they were recognized as good souls instead of 'just in the right club'... I recently discovered Ghost, and am already a huge fan.. But I also look at the other artists - for some reason, Marilyn Manson sticks in my head - who put out music that empowered young kids to embrace their 'weirdness'.. That it was NOT a sign of weakness, but of strength.. YOU lived through it.. I myself lived through it.. And may music like this help OTHERS live through it!!!

Well it was a novel concept, taking metal riffs and costumes and making a pop song out of it. Turned out to be popular I guess wait for the copycats. I guess its been done with punk already so why not metal.

John Galt - okay cool, I've followed Anton Levey, but your comments seemed to damn Tobias and I see nothing wrong with him or anyone practicing any type of belief other than Christianity. I'll get haters for sure now. But my apologies for being rude. Your comments came off as misleading, as I was thinking, I can't tell if this person is for or against Ghost. But I admit it was Ghost who rekindled my affair with wanting to know more about Satanism. You are aware that they are more theatrical than anything else, tho. I've since eased up on my Satanic beliefs since it was causing TONS of drama between me and my mother, who doesn't even live with me, but still can make make me feel shitty after one phone call. So I figured MEH, but stayed devoted to Ghost. She's a hypocrite...I can't have my beliefs, yet she can shove hers down my throat. I guess I was being my mom with you when I misjudged your comments. Anyone could have made the innocent mistake I did, but at least I'm person enough to at least apologize. But at least give me credit for being correct about what He Is was written about. Some metal singer friend of Alphas had died and he was affected by it. Around that same time Tobias own beloved older brother died of heart failure and that made him as he says throw himself into the arms of Satan. Poor Tobias is still profoundly affected by Sebastian's death to this day. I feel terrible for his heartache.
This was my introduction to Ghost. I told my friend I was really into Finnish death metal and he told me to look these guys up. I clicked on their latest video (this one) and was like 'ummm wtf this isn't death metal' but like 3 seconds later my tune changed and I fell in love. Thanks Danny!
GODDAM I JUST UNDERSTOOD WHAT THIS IS! Thats a young Papa Emeritus III and in the crowd is are younger versions of Papa Nihil and Sister Imperator or the kissed Woman from Kiss the Go-Goat and its all taking place near the end of the 80's or the beginning of the 90's Took me 4 years, I'm so dumb
kokofan50 That's the thing, I don't really listen to a lot of newer rock either. But these guys aren't like a lot of the newer rock out there. I was skeptical at first too, as I heard all of these people fawning over them. So I listened to 'Meliora' and my perspective completely changed by about 5 songs in.... And you're welcome :D
+Dustin Who? No dude, that's your fantasy fore play before taking it in ass. What you're experiencing is called projection, where you attribute things to others because that what you really want.
I fucking love this band. They sound like if Alice in Chains went super dark and progressed with Layne. Love the melody in the vocals and their overall tone. Can definitely see why they've made the impact that they have. It's catchy. But it's actually good music too. Not just some made up catchy garbage gimmick. Definitely dig the shit for real. Glad to see it honestly.
Listen to "the devil put dinosaurs here" and you have your super dark/progressed Alice in Chains. The band will never be the same without Layne but they can still capture the magic that drew me to the band initially.
I don't know where people get the idea that being theatrical is a bad thing. A 'gimmick'. Good for them for trying to be entertaining. The precision of the show and the technical proficiency of the live musicians is not quite at the same level as the top theatrical modern Japanese metal bands. But the best show by a modern American band probably. Looks like a great show. From watching some live shows I'm a little confused by the lights. They look too sloppy to be preprogrammed. If they are programmed they need to hire better light techs. But too good to be human controlled. The guitar solos are boring and generic. The songs are good. Seems to ruin it a little to interrupt with lame guitar solos. I'm nitpicking but I like the show. It's very good. The technical proficiency of the live musicians looks a little low. Or maybe that's just the lame guitar solos.
God Ghost has literally saved my life. I mean when my sister passed away a year ago I attempted to self unalive myself. However music and Ghost helped me grieve and it literally saved my life.

You and me both, that lyric is going on my wall.
I hope you're doing much better nowadays anyway, my friendo.
lies of the devil! believe God loves you regardless of what other people tell you!
I love that they always bring attention to the solos, not just the vocalist 100% in the videos or concerts. And the idea for the video is amazing too.
Ghost's instrument players may play masked, but for the love, they damn well play *damn well.*
thats called rock and roll.

Powerful words.
If you watch his interviews he’s always mentioning something similar, how the Christian faith always strives to remind us how horrible we each are.

I like Mary on a Cross too.
His voice grew on me
My mother is a volunteer for the Red Cross and she was on the festival Graspop. She usually doesn't like anything that comes close to metal but she told us she suddenly heard music that wasn't that "hard" as everthing else. And she told us she nearly liked it. For me personally the fact that I haven't seen any other band like them makes me love them just because they are different and still great in their own way.
Ugh fuck metalheads. Just because this isn't some progressive groove death symphonic speed melodic thrash metal band doesn't mean its not metal.

They are outside of the box for sure
@@sephikong8323 "quite literally" So you asked Papa about what it meant, or are you reading into it what you wish?

I love this music video so much. It's legitimately like the finale of a dark 80s movie about a psychic, outsider young girl who is presented with the choice of either suppressing herself and staying in line with society or being true to herself and choosing to embrace what makes her an outsider, and she chooses the latter. Same here man...My sister in law just turned me on to them a little over a week ago and I'm fully addicted. Can't get enough!
Me too. I love this song and Cardinal Copia. I listen to it over and over and over.....
Same here! they sound so damn good.
To many changes of band members
I love that all instruments are important and equally balance, including amazing bass guitar lines and keyboard solos. Thanks Papa.

+Masha Malinina Haha awesome! Nice job in the video. Though I'm too afraid to watch the whole thing at work. Is it scary?

1:31 mini Ghoul going 'dun dun' gets me everytime
Yeah, he's adorable.

Yes
I had never heard any Ghost before I went to an Iron Maiden concert a few years ago and Ghost opened for them. When this song came on I knew the tune already; it was like I was hearing it again. It was the weirdest feeling I've ever had in my life. I think Ghost might actually be his herald.

Valerie Mendez Why would the woman next to her hold her back then? Paedophile! Stranger danger!

My younger sister is 12 and going the same path so once she understands a bit more I'll tell her that she is free.

+Gern Blensten It's so true though. I still remember an interview I saw quite a while ago where one of the Nameless Ghouls said that one of the band's favorite albums is Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys cause "it sounds like a mix between sunshine and complete dystopic hell." I will never forget the first time I heard this song and watched this video.
It was shortly before meliora came out and they were solidified as one of the biggest bands in music. I was so shocked and happily confused when I heard the vocals. From then on I knew this band was special. Happy to say I caught them live before anyone even knew anyone in the bands identities.
In fact I've lost count of the amount of times
Then there is Sabbath, Meryful Fate, BOC, Death SS and the others that Ghost can be listed alongside.

This band is not just a band.. They are an experience.. A movement!! To all the ghost fans out there - Sorry I am late to the party!! But please consider me one of the clergy!!!
Welcome to the Cult! Enjoy

Right the song is kinda NOT about what the video portrays. It's about the state of the church as it relates to false doctrine and fake faith.

John Galt oh he is real alright. You will see his true nature and you will be horrified. Hopefully in that dread you call on God and He saves you.

Yeah, only just heard of them today. I don't listen to newer stuff much. Also, thank for the suggestion; I've got something to listen to tomorrow now.

That's the thing, I don't really listen to a lot of newer rock either.

Did you listen to the album? What did you think?
I fucking love this band. They sound like if Alice in Chains went super dark and progressed with Layne. Love the melody in the vocals and their overall tone. Can definitely see why they've made the impact that they have. It's catchy. But it's actually good music too. Not just some made up catchy garbage gimmick. Definitely dig the shit for real. Glad to see it honestly.
Agreed on all counts especially the AIC vibe
Listen to "the devil put dinosaurs here" and you have your super dark/progressed Alice in Chains. The band will never be the same without Layne but they can still capture the magic that drew me to the band initially.
@@usmguy1234 totally agreed I've always been a huge AIC fan. That is an amazing album.
@@usmguy1234 Cantrell is definitely doing the band justice, still good to this day. Though not quite as good as when Layne was around.
So glad you're still here
Whatever it takes man, sorry to hear about your loss.
