You have taught me so many techniques for creating interesting textures, and so on.
I thought I would give you a technique I discovered that turned out to be really quite amazing!
I was playing with the ideas shown in this video and not getting the results I wanted, not thinning the paint enough, and so at one point I spread an uneven layer of translucent metallic gold over the whole thing. Then I took my heat gun to it doing tiny swirls in very small areas at a time until the paint bubbled. It made such cool textures. The thinner the gold paint was the tinier the bubbles, conversely the thicker paint made bigger bubbles... some of them popping open like reverse craters. The added bonus of it being metallic paint meant the bubbles caught the light more than if it had just been regularl paint. I just thought you might like to try this out.

A beautiful start to the New Year! I use some of these techniques on silk with dyes, with similar results. Of course ,not using the acrylic binder.

Nach so viele tolle Videos, muss ich jetzt mal schreiben! Uhrspruenglich aus Hamburg, aber seit 50-jahren in der USA ......... die videos sind mehr wie toll und ich freue mich auf jede Schau ..... ob alt oder neu! ABER: irgendwie vermisse ich eins. In den letzten 2 jahren war da meil ein Video mit wasser und steine. Es ist nichtmehr da.
