Going off the "sudden character death" possibility you mentioned, I personally call the moment where the main characters' plot armor is shattered the "I am a Leaf on the Wind" moment. Something horrifying happens to a main character, and in that moment, the tension is immediately heightened. This moment shows the viewers that there is a chance nobody is making it out of this alive, or unscathed. You don't even need to actually kill the character to drop that realization. here's a thought that could make a good theory, what if those who fell learned Magic, different from the maidens but still their own magic as part of a training arc
I hope this is more of a Yggdrasil 9 Realms thing where the group has to travel through new and strange dimensions to make their way home. Meeting strange creatures, battling monsters, and learning new things along the way. And hopefully gain more training/powerups. Because they all need it.
Definitely not going to happen but you did a great job a fun theory about it! Also, just want to mention that they have the set up for Winter to be a more major character so maybe she can teach Weiss how to actually use her semblance well lmao.
I hope not. That would be horrible. We would miss so much it's ridiculous: Nora's character arc-done Oz/oscar merge(a major character arc)-done Emerald growing into a hero-done Etc. Etc. The characters rwbyjn come back to would be so different from who they knew before they'd practically be strangers who have moved on with their lives. On top of that a time skip of that magnitude would require us to believe that cinder and salem after destroying two of four kingdoms in a little over a year suddenly decided to just chill and wait around twiddling their thumbs for the mc's to return before attacking again....no I remember Fairy tail trying some shit like this. It was dumb then and it's still dumb now. Having a reverse timeskip where team rwbyjn are in that world for a year while we follow them would be fine but outside, 6 months should be the maximum amount of time passed. I'm not really a fan of that one either tbh but it's still better than the alternative.
volume 9 the others will prepare there will also be another discussion, between the two spouses (salem and ozma) perhaps at the end of the season he will leave salem in emotional conflict over his actions.
@@NRG-REC Nah. The Fairy Tail one was fine as their absence actually had consequences, like having to catch up on seven years of everyone else getting stronger and how their guild fell into shambles after losing all its strongest members at once. In this case for it to work as you pointed out they would essentially have to hit the pause button on everything the bad guys are doing which would make zero sense, specially with their biggest obstacles removed. Maybe a few months could work but Salem would probably be poised to attack by that point.
And are you sure it is true because I need to know if yang is going to be alive and okay along with ruby wise Blake jaune and neo alive and back in vaco alive I mean this theory is false
I like the point where he points out Bumblebee, how they won't sink a ship that just set sail. Only thing that went through my mind, bro... Arkos left the dock and was instantly met by cannon fire. They'll do it
I really like the idea, but I agree with you that it probably won't happen. If there are going to be four of five more volumes it might be a bit early to kill one of the big four. Also we need Yang and Blake to both be alive when they get to Vacuo so Bumplebee can become SunnyBees. :) (off topic) I'd love to see you do a video looking back on your Who Will Die (for volume 8.) Go over where you hit, where you missed, and your thoughts on the narrative choices made by RT that differed from what you though they might have done.
To be honest I could see Jaune giving Weiss a bit of aura just before the explosion went off and that could also play into his aura breaking. The boy has mountains of it. Sadly no confirmation can come till vol 9
Honestly, it makes sense since majority of the team and Neo has someone to attach to if that's the case. I don't know Weiss but probably Pyrrho since she's like some fan at the time, but not a long conversation like Jaune would probably would. It could boost their morale after going through that kind of 'afterlife' and find their way back to remnant. Who knows?
I think Jaune and Weiss will fall in love. And about my theory for volume 9 is that they all “lost” their real bodies and existence when falling and in that world they all need to past some tests in order to reincarnate again. Once again is my OPINION and THEORY
I would say that WhiteRose is not canon because it has zero evidence, but then again, Bumblebee was not canon and had zero evidence until Vol 6 but they the show nailed it in anyway. So who's to say what crazy non-canon thing the show decided to canonize? Their buildup is so nonexistent they can unfortunately justify anything.
Eh its not actually unrealistic, friends realising they have stronger feelings for each other than friendship specially after sharing a pretty harrowing experience together is actually something that happens.
I had a similar thought where Ruby would find Yang throwing rocks or something and try to hug her but pass through her like she was a ghost because she actually died but can't leave because she can't reach the afterlife but can still interact with the environment like Ruby since neither are from there. Another idea I'd like to see is ruby dealing with the darkness within her that may have gotten knocked loose when her eyes pulsated in v7
See i think something like this might happen but it will be Penny thats the dead one but still alive in this world and Jaune and Weiss just keep quiet as Ruby and Penny are having a nice time and they are letting them have this one thing
If it was for the I'd to this.. The island turns out to be a previous attempt of the brothers to create a perfect world prefectly balanced between life and death...however the problem for some reason they abbandoned it. And they also left somekind of guardian/watcher the rwby version of peter pan. The all place is great and peacefull but it repels beings capable of violence...so when the whole group meet and start fighting against neo the island itself start to generate magical copies of people from their past who tries to eliminate them, treating them as a scourge or an infection
While it wouldn't be a twist for the audience, it could be interesting to do this with Penny. Her body did fall into the same place after all and only Jaune and Weiss know she's dead meaning Jaune has to deal with the grief right in front of his face plus maybe some closure and both as well as Penny struggle to figure out how to break this news to the other three.
Honestly I thing that other dimension is the literal afterlife they poped into without dying (not impossible as many Greek myths have heroes, who were still alive mind you, traverse into the underworld for one reason or another)
Its been a while since I touched this but could this be Neverland(?)? As in Peter Pan's fairytail? I thought of Oz or Wonderland but the area doesn't feel as fitting than Neverland since that 'world' is around an island(from what I remember). Just throwing it out there since the Vol9 Teaser clip reminded me of it. Nonetheless, I like this potential story arc like 👀 Legit would be an interesting volume if it came to be, ALY!
this ideo would be very nice. also weiss being dead would be great after bonding with jaune - way to torture the dude again, would be amazing plot wise (but oh boy the feels)
I have a theory for you....They wake up with no memory of how they got there, slowly they meet up inc Neo and find familiar items (their weapons) on their travels . They start to get flashbacks and manage to piece together that they need to find a way home. A spirit guide will help them and only on arrival back will they get a sudden total recollection. Neo will have been saved enroute by ruby so will be awkward/apologetic but still leave.
Also that would make three kills to people jaune cared about by cinder if you count penny since he wasn’t able to save her even though he could heal her
Ok, RT should do all of this...but with someone like Pyrrha instead of Yang (cuz like he said, not likely, she's core group and named so not likely to die here unless it's the end END of the show). You can still do the Yang with Blake and Ruby character build arcs, Neo redemption to the hero team arc, and the united Team Rwby arc. However, this could be a good arc for Jaune and Pyrrha. Like she's staying dead and we'll know that but Jaune won't. Whatever McGuffin gets them home after the great adventure in Yggdrasil will be the end goal of Vol 9 and Jaune (in all of his excitement of being with Pyrrha again with the emotional reconciling and one last grand adventuring together) will be holding on to the thought that if they could find assumed portal home, he can take her back with him. He will be wrong but he will have known that all along and Pyrrha will have known that too, she just didn't what to spoil the vibe until she had to. This would be great closure for him cuz he never really got it when she sent him blasting off and some reassurance for both of them that this isn't good bye, not forever at least. Also, I think it gives something to the fans. Fans get to see a favourite again, fans who wanted her back get something more from her, fans who want her to stay gone to make her sacrifice have meaning get a confirmed "she's staying dead" while getting to enjoy having her back with the other fans.
My main theory is that Volume 9 will be consisting of two storylines! The first one being about Team RWBY and Jaune (and a reluctant Neo who has to work with them) traveling whatever they are looking for a way to get back Remnant and their friends. And the second being about Oscar, Emerald, Ren, and Nora traveling in Vacuo trying to figure how to get the relic of destruction before Cinder, how to get the other two relics back from Salem, and how to get their friends back
When talking about Yang I like whatever bro RWBY ant getting ride of their favorite ship but, soon idea flip talking about Weiss I felt my heart sank because even do to the latest volumes she still my favor character out of the main four. Then realized I you are right. I mean yeah, I'll be upset sure but, looking at it, story of Shcnee family has already pass on to her sister Winter and, out of four main characters, this would (Hate to say it!) Be perfect time for the first death of four main characters. Who better than Weiss to fill that role. Idea pop in my head; instead having final boss be defeated becuase it's too strong and, someone has to stay behind and, keep it busy for the others to get through portal to get back home. Ruby volunteers of course but, Weiss push her out way and says, "go!" Then we get reason why Weiss assist being the one to stay behind. For Weiss knew she was dead whole time during the journey. Before Ruby goes through the portal, she takes one last look back, seeing Weiss taken on final boss Solo in most badass way like us Weiss fans saw her for first time in white trailer. Ruby steps through knowing she lost another dear friend that sacrifice herself even through death. What do all of you think? Honestly options here, wouldn't that be the perfect way to say goodbye too Weiss Shcnee?
I do hope this is some sort of afterlife and maybe the main cast can leave this afterlife cause rather than dying they were more so dropped off there. I think that opens up a lot of story telling possibilities, Jaune could see Pyrrha again and Neo could see Roman. Could also be really good for Neo as her whole story post volume 3 has been getting revenge for Roman, but in reality there isn't really anyone to blame except a random Grimm. You could get really crazy with it and maybe Neo chooses to stay in this afterlife so that she can be with Roman and the main cast could bring someone (like Pyrrha) back with them. Trade a life for a life kind of thing. Obviously this has nothing backing it up, but it was fun to think about.
Okay no.. this hurts even more.. Because if Weiss dies at the end of an arc like that (in the distant future) she can be replaced with Winter and they'll still be team R(W)BY... thanks imma go cry now
Can't kill the Queen of Reminant, that's her final story arc. :) Married to Juane, as the King of Reminant, who actually brings the relics together. The relics resemble a royal rainment. (a crown a sword a scepter and a orb). You Need a king to complete the process and the kings needs a queen (Weiss) (most of the time not allways). This most likely wont happen either but would be soooo cool. I'd say Blake is not really useful to the team. Sure bumblebee shippers would loose there mind, but FINE they can feel our pain like our pain from loosing Pyrrha!! ... We're still here!!! We didn't quit the show!! Fun stuff as usual Rigor.
it's different with bumblebee, they're the only gay couple in the show. and it's such a repeated trope to kill the gay charcter by the end of the show. cliche, annoying, shitty representation
Is their going to be Grimm in this new realm? Or is it going to be a new threat? Also, when Cinder exploded on the bridge in episode 13, many innocents were pushed by the blast and fell into the wonderland. Which means they'll have to protect innocents as well as themselves.
My theory: I think your onto something with the whole spiritual place concept. But I was thinking that this could be more of an Avatar like spirt world with homages to Alice in wonderland. With our void group being split up and guided to the tree by these spirits
Wow if rooster teeth actually did this I would and wouldn't be mad. It would be such a good plot but like you said in your video I don't think it would actually happen in the show.
Here is a theory I'd like to share. Ambrosias made the paths the way he did out of spite. The actual reference for the paths we're fully enclosed tunnels sending dust around Atlas. He knows the danger and could have easily put rails or fully enclosed paths. But made it that way because they not only got him on a loophole. But then call him again and get cheeky with him. So I think he got a little spiteful with what he had a free hand in. I also assume you've heard the Cinder is immortal theory? The water at the bottom of the vault being remains from the fountain of life. Thus how she lived. Regening her Grimm arm and so on.
The impression I get is Ambrosias actually admires their craftiness. Plus his rules are you get exactly what you ask for, I don't see him breaking his own rules even if he could.
Weiss is based on the snow white fairy tail. In the fairy tail, snow white dies to the evil queen, but is then resurrected and in the end lives happily ever after with the prince. Jaune might actually be the prince, and Cinder the evil queen. So, Weiss might actually die (or go into a 'death like' coma) in volume 9, but is brought back to life by something in this dimension and starts a relationship with Jaune and eventually works together with Jaune to kill Cinder Fall. How likely do you think this could actually happen?
This happened already in Volume 5 when Weiss was stabbed by Cinder. Jaune unlocked his semblance and saved her from bleeding out by using his aura to help her aura close her wound.
Aside from Volume 5 being a thing. I totally dig this. And totally not because Weiss and Jaune are my favorite characters and they better not touch Jaune after they made him suffer... thrice!
Regardless of Yang's "death" being good or bad, it had moderate impact. But then when Ruby and Blake "died" in the next episode it removed any and all impact from Yang's "death" because now we know its a plot device for the next volume. We then immediately knew that Weiss would "die" this episode as well. Amazing, it went from one "death" with meaning, to 4 deaths and now zero meaning. (Not even counting Neo and Juan in that statement) As to your theory here, I don't dislike it. Its a nice way to go about things. But frankly, I don't have that much faith in the writers at this point. If you want to know what will happen next, just step back and consider what the most obvious, rail road path is and that is what it will be. Don't get me wrong, I like this show as a whole, i'm just saying that the writing was never the same after volume 3.
"RWBY will never kill Team RWBY because they are the leads." Read Animorphs some time. (These were THE books to read when Miles and Kerry grew up. As someone who grew up the same time.)
Can you make a video about the other relics? What kind of spirits are in them? Are the last two made my the God of darkness? What limits or repercussions do they have? Will my wish for a tsundere little girl being the spirit of destruction come true?
She is the least useful in practice until the finale. I mentioned it multiple times across my thoughts videos - she shouldn't be, Winter is a great example of how she should be used but she isn't - her semblance is incredible but until the final fight of v8 she's been pretty bad at combat. Her only win in 5 volumes is against Marrow who wasn't really trying and Hare who didn't know she was there - in the same fight. Thus why I praised how good she was in the final encounter this volume.
Spoiler warning!!!! If the weird paths disappeared then wouldn't that mean penny's body also falls if the place is magically and revived her, when they finally do go to leave penny wont be able to

I hope this is more of a Yggdrasil 9 Realms thing where the group has to travel through new and strange dimensions to make their way home. Meeting strange creatures, battling monsters, and learning new things along the way. And hopefully gain more training/powerups. Because they all need it.
The first thing that came to my mind was Yggdrasil, really hope that's what it is.
Plus, more Norse-inspired characters would be nice
Definitely not going to happen but you did a great job a fun theory about it! Also, just want to mention that they have the set up for Winter to be a more major character so maybe she can teach Weiss how to actually use her semblance well lmao.
I’m sure the entirety of Volume 9 will be in wherever Ruby and them ended up. Once they get back there will have been a 3 year time skip.
I hope not.
That would be horrible. We would miss so much it's ridiculous:
Nora's character arc-done
Oz/oscar merge(a major character arc)-done
Emerald growing into a hero-done
Etc. Etc.
The characters rwbyjn come back to would be so different from who they knew before they'd practically be strangers who have moved on with their lives.
On top of that a time skip of that magnitude would require us to believe that cinder and salem after destroying two of four kingdoms in a little over a year suddenly decided to just chill and wait around twiddling their thumbs for the mc's to return before attacking again....no
I remember Fairy tail trying some shit like this. It was dumb then and it's still dumb now.
Having a reverse timeskip where team rwbyjn are in that world for a year while we follow them would be fine but outside, 6 months should be the maximum amount of time passed. I'm not really a fan of that one either tbh but it's still better than the alternative.
I don’t know about 3 years but I do think a good amount of time will pass whenever they get back to Remnant/Vacuo
They could be in one of the pocket dimensions of one of the remaining relics.
volume 9 the others will prepare there will also be another discussion, between the two spouses (salem and ozma) perhaps at the end of the season he will leave salem in emotional conflict over his actions.

Well, wait...they all got separated at this point...it should take them some time to reunite with each other
And are you sure it is true because I need to know if yang is going to be alive and okay along with ruby wise Blake jaune and neo alive and back in vaco alive I mean this theory is false
@@elijahpage7687
Well, yeah this theory is clearly forced
@@elijahpage7687
I just think they got separated cause they fell in different moments from different parts
@@ozmasterofmasks5838 okay whenwill they be reunited and gets back to remnant and to vaco
@@elijahpage7687
Is it a question?
I like the point where he points out Bumblebee, how they won't sink a ship that just set sail. Only thing that went through my mind, bro... Arkos left the dock and was instantly met by cannon fire. They'll do it
I really like the idea, but I agree with you that it probably won't happen. If there are going to be four of five more volumes it might be a bit early to kill one of the big four. Also we need Yang and Blake to both be alive when they get to Vacuo so Bumplebee can become SunnyBees. :)
(off topic) I'd love to see you do a video looking back on your Who Will Die (for volume 8.) Go over where you hit, where you missed, and your thoughts on the narrative choices made by RT that differed from what you though they might have done.
To be honest I could see Jaune giving Weiss a bit of aura just before the explosion went off and that could also play into his aura breaking. The boy has mountains of it. Sadly no confirmation can come till vol 9
What an intriguing story that would be! I'm more curious about the "vail" or how they would be getting back if it does end up being a spirit world..
Who knows?
Volume 8 was really depressing and action packed
Would be super ballsy, but people would be pissed.
I think Jaune and Weiss will fall in love. And about my theory for volume 9 is that they all “lost” their real bodies and existence when falling and in that world they all need to past some tests in order to reincarnate again.
Once again is my OPINION and THEORY
I love that in an episode about twists, there was a twist ending. I see what you did there.
Thank you very much, I was waiting to see who would!
"you don't want to see your favorite character get beheaded"
*Game of Thrones is confused*
Holy shit how'd I get here so fast?
Speed doesn't exist on youtube.
Jaune is going out in a heroic death that’s my theory. You know Miles.
Jaune and Neo team and just have them doing there own things the whole volume.
6:08 It is literally all down to the execution.
See i think something like this might happen but it will be Penny thats the dead one but still alive in this world and Jaune and Weiss just keep quiet as Ruby and Penny are having a nice time and they are letting them have this one thing
About 3 people: Theorising about where RWBY + Jaune + Neo actually are
Everyone else: bEaCh EpIsOdE wHeN
If it was for the I'd to this..
Her body did fall into the same place after all and only Jaune and Weiss know she's dead meaning Jaune has to deal with the grief right in front of his face plus maybe some closure and both as well as Penny struggle to figure out how to break this news to the other three.
ahaha that hurt. great theory.. the intro was a bit long but I'm glad I stuck with you
I've already mentioned this I think... but I would totally be okay with team RWBY or just Ruby dying like heroes in the final of the whole show.
Honestly I thing that other dimension is the literal afterlife they poped into without dying (not impossible as many Greek myths have heroes, who were still alive mind you, traverse into the underworld for one reason or another)
I always think of Dante's Inferno when thinking about this option.
I really like this theory. I doubt they'd take it still, but i really like it. thanks for the amazing content.
No problem at all, thanks for enjoying it!
Hmmm... now this gives us ideas...
Excellent
You trippin. Blake has always been the least useful in combat since day 1
Its been a while since I touched this but could this be Neverland(?)? As in Peter Pan's fairytail?
I thought of Oz or Wonderland but the area doesn't feel as fitting than Neverland since that 'world' is around an island(from what I remember). Just throwing it out there since the Vol9 Teaser clip reminded me of it.
Nonetheless, I like this potential story arc like 👀 Legit would be an interesting volume if it came to be, ALY!
this ideo would be very nice. also weiss being dead would be great after bonding with jaune - way to torture the dude again, would be amazing plot wise (but oh boy the feels)
Let's not forget about all the civillians who fell as well though rooster teeth will
before the finale came out I saw someone propose the same idea for penny but now I don’t think it’ll happen because of that goodbye in the finale
Fuck being sad to see if or when it happens. Just thinking about that gave me feels
Neo will have been saved enroute by ruby so will be awkward/apologetic but still leave.
what if they run into the new domain of light and domain of dark? and probably get some answers on how to counter salem or how to go back
RWBY Runs Yang stays with Raven instead of going to Qrow
i think the place they fell too is either neverland wonderland or the underworld
so peter pan alice in wonderland or Hercules could be the storys
I want more jaune he has the most character that needs to settle being completely separated from his entire team
1:40 I believe the word you are looking for is "Hypothesis" :)
My main theory is that Volume 9 will be consisting of two storylines! The first one being about Team RWBY and Jaune (and a reluctant Neo who has to work with them) traveling whatever they are looking for a way to get back Remnant and their friends. And the second being about Oscar, Emerald, Ren, and Nora traveling in Vacuo trying to figure how to get the relic of destruction before Cinder, how to get the other two relics back from Salem, and how to get their friends back
Ruby falls with blake, why she is with Jaune in your theory
@@lfz4611 Because they all fell into the realm the idea would be they all meet up and work together.
"The 6th Sense" is my favorite movie.
Ruby volunteers of course but, Weiss push her out way and says, "go!"
Then we get reason why Weiss assist being the one to stay behind.
Would Adam be there cause I hope not do you.
Okay no.. this hurts even more.. Because if Weiss dies at the end of an arc like that (in the distant future) she can be replaced with Winter and they'll still be team R(W)BY... thanks imma go cry now
Can't kill the Queen of Reminant, that's her final story arc. :)
Married to Juane, as the King of Reminant, who actually brings the relics together.
I know you said that the theory of Yang not being able to go through is not going to happen but I feel like that Jaune would be more likely to die
While I agree that this won't happen, I've gotta admit that this theory/idea is actually pretty good:)
I wish you could write rwby because god this would be amazing
Thanks!
@@YouAllWrite also can’t wait for the next ep of rwby runs i guess we will have to rely on your what if’s for rwby stuff
I've been totally fine with whiteknight since V5
Omg had ghoosebumbs! Great story. I dont want it that way but i also would love to see that!!. You broke me 🤣😭
Wow if rooster teeth actually did this I would and wouldn't be mad.
Ooooh I like that last part. I have to read that theory now!
The impression I get is Ambrosias actually admires their craftiness. Plus his rules are you get exactly what you ask for, I don't see him breaking his own rules even if he could.
I really hope we don't see an Ewok
Volume 9 just ends up being a direct rip off of Return of the Jedi
I would love this...it'd be a way to hook us back in
I love that I'm early.
Okay, but what about the landing strategy?
@@Neo-op3iz To be honest, I didn't think of that, Thanks.
Aside from Volume 5 being a thing. I totally dig this.
And totally not because Weiss and Jaune are my favorite characters and they better not touch Jaune after they made him suffer... thrice!
I think this would be funny if he was right but with a different character i think Weiss would be a better for the role tho.
(Not even counting Neo and Juan in that statement)
As to your theory here, I don't dislike it.
Completely unrelated question: Which word of your channel name do you emphasize?
*You* All Write?
You *All* Write?
You All *Write*?
This is such a good theory but i just know it would break me
"RWBY will never kill Team RWBY because they are the leads."
Read Animorphs some time. (These were THE books to read when Miles and Kerry grew up. As someone who grew up the same time.)
Have you heard the theory that Jaune's true inspiration is Link from the Legend of Zelda Series?
Can you make a video about the other relics? What kind of spirits are in them? Are the last two made my the God of darkness? What limits or repercussions do they have?
Will my wish for a tsundere little girl being the spirit of destruction come true?
weiss is objectively the best member of team rwby. they should just bring her back and give her a second sword lmao
I really don’t see yang dying for good she’s one of the main characters lol maybe something happens at the end of the series but I doubt it.
16:08-16:11
Least...useful...?
Are you blind...?
Her semblance is literally the MOST versatile and flexible of the bunch!
Least Useful my Ash!
Isn't it too early for Volume 9 predictions?
There’s no such thing as too early.
my only prediction is that itll be horribly written.
I see dead people
Spoiler warning!!!!
If the weird paths disappeared then wouldn't that mean penny's body also falls if the place is magically and revived her, when they finally do go to leave penny wont be able to
Never face reveal, stay a mystery
