@@MikefromMissouri thank you, I'm new to the Hendey lathe, I'm going to clean it really good before cranking it, I bought a DPS for 4-5hp, stickers on the motor said 5hp
@@ismaellambarry4605 I personally prefer the on/off of a rotary phase converter but that should work. Will probably have to ramp it up slow because the old big motors have lots of inertia. May trip the overcurrent otherwise. No experience just a guess

Hello, yes the 12” & 14” are very similar in construction.
