Nice!!!! You made it look easy! Great repair and reseal!!!
Great Video!!! Now I feel a lot more confident taking mine apart!!! Thank you!
I'm with you all the way, huffing and puffing along with you, superb video and excellent camerawork, plus cjear and consice explanations, why can't all Americans speak clear easily undstandable English, well done, looking forward to seeing the next thrilling instalment thank you
Nice job Mike!! I learned something and have found the parts kit for my 2 ton jack that I bought from sears in the late 80's. 👍
Good luck fixing it!
I like your approach to diagnosis the boom issue
Thank you
I'd guess $681 for those lines. Hydraulics is one expensive industry.
Also, I can tell you're a perfectionist. I'm the same way. It takes us much longer to get a project done, but the end result is worth it.
For sure
Wow, looking better than new. I've been installing new hoses on my telehandler project today. It almost makes you crazy trying to keep track of the lengths, fitting types and where they connect to! I have been tightening each one, then putting a white line across the fittings to make sure I didn't miss anything!
@@BroadcastBuddy Hello, thanks for the white line idea . I’m definitely going to use that on my project. Good luck on the telehandler and I appreciate you watching!
My guess is $510
You sir are right on the money. $510 for both lines with tax! Nice guess
@ woo hoo! Maybe I should play the lottery
sorry but the writing onyour coat sleeve is puzzling me
@@isaacrammelsberg6184 Honestly I’m not sure what it says right now but it’s from my kids writing on it with marker. They think they are funny.
Any project like this usually leads to spending almost as much time planning and thinking and worrying as you do actually working on it! Looking fantastic keep up the good work
@@bsg2580 Lots of truth to that statement! Thanks for watching
Don’t you just love the USPS waiting game……..
I used sears floor jacks back in the 70s and 80s. They worked great. Best part they were free hand me downs.
That's gonna be the nicest 1840 anywhere. I'll bring you mine to practice on.
@@rc5693 Thanks, I bet you would LOL
That's hoses not hardlines at oreillys
@@rc5693 got it thanks
Probably a bit late but o'Reilly auto parts can make up hydraulic lines, they did for my 1840, a bit cheaper than oem and gates hoses. Just take in old line for exact match
I honestly think that this is the greatest rebuild I have ever seen in my life. When you are done it will last you for the rest of your life. Well done my man and keep it up.
@@daveharper5655 Thanks, and I honestly think this is the best comment I’ve ever had. LOL
$685 for the custom lines.
🎉 its better than new. Impressive
For both hard lines hopefully less than 550. Thanks for the awesome videos.
Very nice
Very nice work. And lots of it.
Hardline $344.- ? I do not hope so! Great video again.
@@walterverlaan1286 Thanks for watching. After a week I’ll reveal the price.
Really enjoying the series - Mike from Liverpool UK 🇬🇧
Why is there a Chevy pickup in there??? Where is the Tundra You should have in there?? 😂😂
You know I’m too cheap for that.
I have the same HF floor jack . Now 20-25 yr old and still works fine . Always indoors, non-snow belt location .
We’re did you purchase the damaged seal and how did you. Determine what to purchase?
Very cool. I have the 4 ton and a 3 ton of the same vintage. Unfortunately they are out of service but after watching your video Ill be attempting to bring it back to life
Thanks for the update!!!
Those 'after' dimensions are good for only 500 more hours in your lifetime. ^..^~~
As I understand this detail is a main part of the lifting system. So it is high stressed detail. When you heat a metall you change mechanical properties of it. It might weaken a structure.
Paint looks like the factory finish nice job .
Thanks!
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 Love your videos You have inspired so many of us !!!!!😂
Thank you! You too!
Great Attention to detail 🇬🇧🇮🇪.
Interesting project. Have you tried FP Smith Parts and Equipment for parts? They have n.o.s. Case parts among others. They had parts for my backhoe that I couldn't even find used. They are located in California
@@jimcrowl6925 I’ve never heard of them but will look them up. Thanks for the suggestion and watching.
One heck of a jigsaw puzzle. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
@@carlthor91 Yes it is. Starting to forget some of the things too. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas also
Love you getting your son involved. He appears to have some interest in the project.
@@smplyizzy He is very much interested in it.
I think by the time you finish this skid steer it will be BETTER than new. Be blessed and have a Merry Christmas.
Thanks for the comment. Merry Christmas
Looking good.
Looking good Mike! Keep it going!
Thanks! I will.
