Your soaps are beautiful! I love the talk about how people say different words. Tomato/tomāto. I say pronounce the words how you like! But.. I day Calendula! Thank you for making such beautiful soaping videos. You are such an inspiration!!!!😘❤️

Gorgeous soap! as always you are so cheerful and fun to watch. I agree with my compatriot Raph Joli as I too am a French Canadian (from Montréal) with a Latin base! My son married a Mexican, they live near me, my grandsons speak Spanish, English and French equally! they are so lucky. I think it is charming to listen to the regionalism of some words and you don't have to go that far to hear a different twist of some words, sometimes just a few 100 miles is enough for a completely different pronunciation. Please don't stop being YOU!

Love the colors. I might be a bit bias to lime green and brown as they are my logo colors for my soap business. As for language, I pronounce calendula and vanillin the same way as you do. I am perfectly bilingual as I am French Canadian from Quebec and speak English and I have an understanding of Latin base languages as it sounds lots like French. I am married to an American how through the years has picked up some French words (lets not forget the "bad words" my father taught him) and little phrases. Anyways, have a great day Ellen!

Funnily enough, here in Australia the word we hear mispronounced is “ herb”. We pronounce the ‘h’! Verbena is ‘correct’. None of it matters, what is important is how delightful you are to listen to. You are so cheerful that it makes me smile! Cath.

Wondering if NG made a typo or it's on purpose. Either way you are right when you pronounce Verbena. By the way, beautiful flowers! You pronounce Calendula right, as a dedicated flower enthusiast, I have never heard it say that other way. I also say Vanillin the same way you do. 😅.
There is a fellow on you tube who only spends a week to week and half to learn all these languages. Then he will go out and talk to folks in different cultures and they are astonished because he sounds like he grew up speaking their language. Some of them very difficult!
    Amazing!

American English has some differences in pronunciation of certain words, tomato, vitamin for example from UK English, i dare say it would be similar in other English first language countries. That is both words, verbena (verbayna) and Vannilin (vanerlynn)🥰
90% of South Africans are either bilingual or multilingual. I speak English, Afrikaans, Tamil(my vernacular) and Hindi.
Tamil because my eight great grandparents are from Tamil Nadu in the South of India 🇮🇳. They came to SA between 1895 and 1902. I speak Hindi as it is a more 'universal' language among us Indians. I love your country and it's history 🇺🇸

Beautiful soap! I say calendula the way u do. But anyone correcting u can be quite and sit down. What makes them think they are pronouncing it correctly and ur not? Did they write the dictionary?! No, they didn’t. Who actually takes the time to tell someone how to speak? Do they not have something better to do with there time? That’s 5 minutes in there life they n u won’t get back. It’s ridiculous. If someone doesn’t like the way u say something they can move on. They need to remember they are not the only ppl in the world and the world doesn’t revolve around them and they are other ppl who live in other places different than they do! They need to relax themselves and shut it, cause it’s rude and disrespectful to do that. The soap is beautiful and do not change how u speak to’ appese others.
