Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

cant belive you eat that garbage
If you didn't read the direction make sure the bulbs are in right the l.e.d. chips left and right for the correct light refraction
Could have cleaned the trucks down first and deloused the hubs and painted before putting bits and wheels back on!.
Also polish the wheels with MER then water etc run off them and clean easy and can polish trucks with it also.
You dint link to the polisher guy
@@godoftheinterwebzthat’s what I was thinking as well :/
Buddy busted his ass to get all that polishing done in a day! Good job!!!
Polishing up those tanks and wheels is a bear of a job. This guy does amazing work!!!
Holy shit... That guy looked like the chimney sweep on Mary Poppins after all that. Kudos for the hard work. Paid off nicely.
That kitty wants love… you better give him all the lovins❤❤❤❤❤
Yup! It will run off with Catdog if he doesn't 🤣🤣
Just an idea, pour a cement pad in front of your shop doors. Makes snow clean up easier. Probably 12-16 feet out from the doors will work. No more mud!!
You paying?
You really think he hasn’t thought about that?! 😂 good idea, but complete waste of money.
@@Iamyourfather1it’s definitely not a complete waste of money not only does it make it easier in the winter but in the summer spring and fall they can work on equipment on the pad outside the shop if they already have the shop full I don’t think it’s a waste of money and could be useful it’s just not a priority
The concrete apron in front of the shop would definitely make it easier to unload the FactorMeals.
I would add if he had the spare cash; make it even a heated pad as well with drainage… then it gets to be a place to wash the machinery and easy to clean up
I miss catdog!! I hope he or she is loving life at the neighbours.
Same
What happened to catdog
@@364rooster He mentioned a while back that catdog went over to the neighbors place.
Like your dog when you were young “went to live with uncle Bob on his farm in the country “
@@nitramnitram1966 Yeah, that's my guess as well. (I'm a cat guy, so a nod and a sniffle)
When you put the chrome hub covers on, turn the axle nuts so that you have a flat up and the covers will pop right on
I'm going to try this next time, thanks
@@MillennialFarmer maybe just to clarify turn the nuts so a flat is facing the outside edge of he axle, I read my previous comment and it seemed a little confusing.
@@nickgardner5970 it made sense to me because I had actually considered that but didn't think it would really work
@@MillennialFarmeryou definitely need to get a tire cart. Takes the backbreaking out of taking semi tires off and on. Call dougo and ask him what type he has. 😊
We have a hand cart that has rollers on it to align the wheels that you struggle on and off with.
Welcome to the show, Buzzer!
Was on the same cruise. Beautiful weather other than the crazy winds that Friday sailing. I might have said “There’s the MillenialFarmer” once after I had a cocktail or five one evening.
Put some half fenders on those it will keep the back of the sleepers cleaner, the young man does great work
Anna knows about being real. Big one , yuk for the team. We miss cat-dog too. Hope all is well. thank you and I hope dad is having a good winter. Cheers.
Just cover the sideboards of the trailer with used motor oil. Keeps water from soaking in and gets rid of used oil. Win win.
Zach & Becky, you do a great job bringing this content to your viewers! I don’t miss an episode.
Zach, you are one crazy dude! But Anna at the beginning, GOLD!!! Enjoy the crap out of your videos. Murfreesboro, TN
No pun intended right? 🤣🤣💩💩
Hello fellow murfreesboroin😂
Trucks need love, and it makes you feel better.
I love watching polishers work it's just pure art that they do well the Good ones atleast
That cat loves you Zack
Amazing transformation of the truck. LED is always a huge improvement
dayuuuum!!!! christian knows his craft! well done sir, that is beautiful!!
actually pressure treated will rot your trailer faster. when those boards get wet they leach down onto your metal and the chemicals they use to treat the wood is corrosive to the metal.
I did not know that. Thanks!
@@kevn33 Most lumber manufacturers that use ACQ, CA, ACZA and CCA treatments specify stainless steel or heavily galvanized fasteners when working with pressure treated wood to hold up to the chemicals and provide a secure connection for the longest time possible. While you can find fasteners labeled suitable for pressure treated wood, utility trailers and the like are usually just powder coated or painted normal steel. But realistically it would take many years to degrade the trailer to be unsafe do to corrosion from the PT lumber. Non PT lumber and a coat of an oil based wood protector sprayed on with a cheap pump sprayer like you use for weeds or a deck every few years would be fine for most people.
Zack you're the best TH-cam Farmer the World has ever seen..
I highly doubt that
Anna deserves a round of applause!! That was hilarious
It was a statement about not coming on the cuise
I so enjoy new videos!! Love Anna and Didge!!
Zach asking Christian, "Wanna go with?" That's one of those regional things. Northerners always finish the sentence with just "with." I have some cousins that were originally from Chicago and always said that. "Can I go with?" Whereas, I'm from farther south in IL and we stick a word on the end of that...with us, with you, with them.
MN folks have their own language.
@@beckyumphrey2626 As do many regions across the country. Look into U.S. regional languages and different terms used for the same things across the country. It's pretty interesting.
Beautiful cat..love the polished rims and tank on the Peter
we are in Austria had planted all corn. The first had three leaves.
Watching you push the snow around reminds me of my kid years and funning around in Mom's garden pretend grading and dumping with Tonka and Ertl vehicles, especially the loaders and dump trucks. Fun for you is you get the real ones to use every day!
Evan is really going to appreciate that shower after work.
When the trailer lumber goes bad now you'll be able to burn it without making arsenic from the burning of treated lumber, that's a plus win...
Here in Missouri We have our corn already all planted and started on soybeans!
Nice to see them older trucks getting some love❤❤
We're pretty good size farmers here in Texas too, I always look for the farm dogs and the farm cats !!
Good job Zack of taken care of what you own as it show's in the way you and your family farm ! ( from Canada )
that character that plays Zach the millennial farmer is a real hoot by golly
Turn the axle nuts one way or the other. It aslo works for covers that are too loose to tighten the hub cap up.
it's so funny to see the little "bloopers" like *here we g---- hold on, ahem: "morning."* scenes :D
Hey! Please keep the snow there! Thank you ! LOL
What a genuinely well mannered young man.
Polishing aluminum is satisfying. But, it’s DIRTY DIRTY work! It’s very slow going too.
Thanks for sharing. That was a pretty amazing transformation on the wheels and tanks!
I think a few of those hard to start tractors and trucks could greatly benefit from a Super Bank Capacitor/battery combination setup. 25,000 starts without an issue doesn't sound like too much of a problem. You all know all the big companies out there that sell them.
I can agree. the custom harvest company i worked for kept a couple of them in the maintenance truck that traveled around with the combines and other equipment
they can be a godsend on a early morning start when its single digits out
Trucks look good. I use Evan's products they very good. He does videos on youtube, a great learning how to.
Great looking shine on the truck. Really enjoy all your videos THX
Hey sit on a creeper seat and use a large pry bar against the floor to put those wheels on. If you wear steel toes you can use your foot saw a pivot point. Much easier and better for your back.
Zach and Becky great trip I hope zach get back to work quite playing in the snow and work.
It’s so fun to watch you and Larson farms and see you guys get similar weather.
Just when you thought winter wasn’t going to come. It says, “I’m here now! Better later than never!!!!” 😂
He did an awesome job.🇨🇦❤️
I'm a long time viewer of both your channels. Thanks Zack and Becky for another great video!!
Zach double check your bulbs I think you may have put hi beam bulb on the high beam side The connectors are close to being the same I believe those are 9005 and 9006 or h10s and h11s but they have the little tab in them just double check I think you got your bulbs in the wrong spot And if they have the type of deal on the bulbs where you can orient the bulb so it's straight up and down in the housing set that after you lock them in make sure the led is straight up and down
I always clean my wheel studs with a wire brush or preferably an electric wire wheel and put antiseize on them. It makes a big difference.
See ya in the next one.
She's helping the snow melt
never been this early to one of your vids wahoo, keep up and hopefully the weather is gonna change soon for ya
Good looking detail job.
I'm in it for the dogs and cats, so I personally love it when they're included! Get Anna in that tractor!!!
When you gotta go, you gotta go. Good girl Anna
In the UK they have changed the LAW on LED replacement bulbs - basically the reflectors weren't designed for LED and so often drivers in the opposite direction were getting dazzled (even when not on Hi-Beam) so now you have to have replace the whole light unit to deflect LED Lo-Hi to the spec. This is enforced at our annual MOT check - plus causes issues on your insurance. I bet US follows in years to come.
Most us states don't have vehicle inspections
Was 81F on Saturday,This video is over 2 weeks old😂
Zach love the show very informative for learning the in's an out's on big farming. Family is real deal Dad and Jim are the best. And You never disappoint working running around and cutting up. Don't change a thing. Makes my day no matter what is or has gone on. Thanks again So much.
Pick a spot, on the fresh white snow, in the middle of the yard when you are filming. Good shot dog😁😃🤣
Zach get yourself a wheel dolly for putting them on/off. Best $100 you’ll spend.
Now you need to get the inside done
The factor meals with sauces in a cup actually say to remove the cup lol
At least you have a local gas station/convenience store!!
He does a fantastic job ✨
You just got to push/bend the prongs on the headlight connector to get it to fit, easy fix
Neat rig for rim polishing!
Looking good bud great job
It's so fun to watch u and larson farms and see you guys get similar weather
You do know they are not that far from each other.
They are the only 2 farm shows I watch every episode
Larson lives and farms like 2 hours south west of them
@@ilovechieftainsmore like 20 minutes 😂
+ Welker Farms , 👍😎💯
Thanks for another great video Zach.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Glad you and the family went on a cruise and were able to relax and get away for a while. Very good.
Christian did a great job on polishing your truck. It look just great now especially the tanks and wheels. He did a great job. Hopefully others can use his business.
You had a surprise when you got home-snow. The skid loader did alright but might need the bigger blade to move some of that snow.
Those meals you were talking about don’t look too bad at all. Look pretty good as a matter of fact. Believe you called then Factor meals.
Busy time for you after being gone for a while from the farm. Busy busy right now.
All for now. Thanks for everything Zach and Becky. Take care and be safe.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
if you turn the nuts so the flats are to the outside the caps go on easier.
The truck looks great!
Now those wonderful new bright lights will blind everyone.
Agree 100%
Yep. The frosted plastic covers will diffuse the spotlights into floodlights, blinding everyone ahead of you.
Wrong. You’re thinking of HID headlight bulbs that blind other drivers when not in a proper projector housing.
HID bulbs throw a 360° light pattern. LED bulbs like what he installed and as you can see have a 180° light pattern with the LED chips on the sides of the bulb and when installed correctly (you need to adjust/ clock them in the housing so the LED chips sit horizontal) and then they have a proper cut off of the light beam pattern when used in a traditional halogen light housing. Also you’ll notice halogen automotive bulbs have black coated tips to stop forward facing lights and the LED bulbs also have no forward facing chips so they illuminate the housing like a halogen bulb does.
Also you’ll note what looks like the low beams in the headlight housing are actually a projector housing, so it wouldn’t matter what bulb type he ran in it as the projector itself cuts the light off at the top of the beam pattern.
Only reason you’d be blinded by properly installed LED bulbs would be from an incorrectly adjusted headlight housing where the lights are pointed too far up… often happens when a lift or leveling kit is installed on a pickup truck and they didn’t readjust the headlight housings to compensate for the lift or the truck is squatted in the rear from pulling a trailer, which even in those cases stock halogen bulbs are blinding.
@@chevyon37s You failed to understand what I said. The glazed plastic that the light beam has to traverse will scatter the beam and made a spot into a flood.
@@chevyon37s Not all LED globes have proper light cuts. And you're assuming they've been installed correctly. Most people do not double check they have the beam set correctly.
I know Australia has rules about requiring automatic washers and levelling when LED or HID globes are fitted. I presume the USA is similar.
Brillant video Zach
He did a great job on that truck.
Amazing job
Truck looks great now with polished wheels and tanks. Are you going to polish the battery boxes /steps? I was surprised you did at least clean the inside rims. Its great to have the dogs and cat there to help you make feel better when you are stressed .
2 feet of snow is some good precipitation.
Trailers love to sit out in the weather. I will often treat the deck and sideboards with used engine oil. Not a permanent finish but it does help keep old man weather out.
Truck is looking great. Like the seamless continuity with the trailer side boards. One minute nothing then wow ! sides. AND the buffer still running in the back ground. Magic or good continuity.................. !!
I hope buzzer sticks around
Black paint would look nice on those side boards and slow down the decay rate as well.
I polish my own stuff, I’m not the best but it looks good from the road. I use Time2Shine and if you hit it a couple times a year it keeps it looking sharp. I even used it on the a/c lines, if it’s aluminum it will make it shine.
To have Christian do the tires was much easier than transporting them to that other shop. Who knew.😊
I use Evans as well on my Premier tri-toon tips, a lot of work and mess but worth it...
Yes coffee time and chill
Ohhhh shiney
😂 Guess that was Anna’s thoughts on her segment of “Action” 🤪
Some fresh black paint on the hubs would look amazing.
Holy moly those wheels look so nice!
U should put fenders on your semi help with rock chips
You forgot to polish the battery box. Trucks looking good.
I love your videos keep up the great work
Skidsteers are so fun to plow with when you have a plow on the front though. I loved every second of it
Right up to you nail the manhole cover at full clip & stop instantly. Gave myself whiplash, another guy shattered the door glass with his face. That crap is thick glass too. I'll never skip a seatbelt in a skidder if you're doing any kind of grading/ plowing.
Who ever said you can’t polish a turd was bang on.
Amazing video. The truck looks great.
Anna was just showing you what she thought of the late season snow.
Need to get the battery covers shined up
