You know it's things like that @ 03:58 that makes me want to keep watching, I guess just knowing that I'm not the only jokester out there makes me a happy individual. Thanks for the upload Zach!
It’s because of channels like this I have stopped watching mainstream TV in the UK! This kind of content is real, honest and you feel you know them personally. I never thought I would know and learn so much about farming in our closest alias country. Keep it coming 👍👌🤙
We started planting about 2 1/2 weeks ago here in Central Iowa. Good to see you all getting in the fields. Glad we did before all the storms. We live in Western Iowa but crop land is in Central IA. We dodged some tornadoes last Friday afternoon and evening. It’s something we are used to doing, but these storms were just all around us. We have a good 3 dozen separate friends and family groups that were in the path of the tornadoes from Lincoln NE all the way to Ames IA. Plus family in Southern Iowa in Creston area. Miraculously none of them sustained severe damage. Some trees down, power lines down, some missing shingles and hail damage. But no direct tornado hit. God definitely watched over so many of us. When you are getting texts, video and calls from that many different people for hours cuz of the storm it is so draining. Was in my first tornado at age 12 with my siblings and we were home alone when it hit our farm. This was 1984 so life was different then. But we made it through that and I added a couple other tornadoes to my resume since.
Hey Jach, not sure if you will see this or not but this is a good tip. Concerning your leg cramps, instant relief is a drink of tonic water. A couple of mouthfuls of tonic water brings almost instant relief from a leg cramp attack. I got this directly from my doctor. Yes the mix in a gin and tonic! Heck add the gin if you want still works! Also this tip is from my wife and that is a magnesium tablet. They seem to help me if I think my legs may cramp at night after a busy day with physical exercise.
Hey Millennial, that new drill is amazing. Every year there is more technology and increased capabilities with the equipment, but plant biology is still the same, even if planted by a millennial planter. Variable rate application can compensate for variations in a field but the way you explained it you are cutting your rate 66% for the entire field by keeping the nitrogen shot constant. I feel that would cause a less than optimum yield response in most areas of the field. For growth, plants are chronically deficient in several nutrients such as nitrogen in the soil and CO2 in the air. There is nothing you can do about the low CO2 in the air but you can apply sufficient fertilisers for the soil deficiencies. Perhaps you plan to spray a foliar application later after the plants have emerged?
Hey Millennial, the tractors I drove were not mancaves, especially before they started to build them with cabs. The new technology is incredible, especially for someone like me. I finished schooling before there were even electronic calculators available. So much has changed, but you still need to sit sleep-deprived and alone, sometimes lonely and worried, with machinery you hope keeps working and squeeze a couple months of work into a couple of weeks. For me, if things quit working a big hammer, vice grips and a portable welder often did the trick to be up and running again. But now, what if a satellite is lost, critical computer systems are hacked, or the power grid fails? When I started farming, failure to execute the plan or solve unexpected obstacles could mean losing a farm and finding a new job to feed the family. Now, technical failures could affect the entire food supply. As for the riderless tractor, I agree the technology is available, but the time needed to troubleshoot remotely and drive back and forth to respond to the myriad of monitors might negate any time-saving. Good luck with the planting and be careful with your health.
Thanks for another great video Zach. It was informative and interesting and enjoyable. Thanks for showing us the new planter and tractor. I am sure you will show us more on the new tractor and planter as you get acquainted with them. I see you had a John Deere person helping you that first day which was a good thing to do. Getting used to a new planter is hard enough. The new lighting system is really good-wow. Really lights up the back of the tractor and the front of the new planter. Wow. Lots of light. By you feedback on the new planter you are pleased with it and its operation. That is very good. A good start is always a confidence builder. Good going Zach. Good to see your dad. He likes running the sprayer i do believe. Believe he was in the refrigerator before starting the film. Getting one of those factor meals to start the day. Thanks for everything Zach and Becky on the editing. You all take care and be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Great opening day for you guys, all of your green equipment look awesome and nice and shinny. Hope you have a great year thanks for letting us tag along
I’m a big LED dork, and I noticed all the lights on the tractor and planter before it got dark and immediately that I hope we get to see that thing light up at some point. Very nice man I hope this doesn’t give you fits the way that old shit heap did!
Tcm. Terrain compensation module. There are gyros in the receiver to compensate for the reviver being off the ab line in hills. The gyros also give your grade for using the display to level ground or lay tile.
Hope row 12 works ok for ya! I made sure to take a good long at that row when I checked out your planter at Farm Progress Show '23 before I talked to ya at the Polaris booth. Haha
The Welkers got the jump on you a few days ago putting peas in the ground. Farmers here in Ohio are doing field work for corn and soybeans. I don't know if they are planting yet. There has been a lot of rain and near freezing temperatures, but a strong warm up the last few days with no rain.
It was nice to get started planting. We got about 2/3 of our corn planted before this rain came. We have had 2.4 inches of rain so far since it started. There is rain on the radar coming this way & they are talking rain in a couple of days too. It will be a few days before anybody gets back in the field here.
With the world being a complete poopshow, I can always count on 10 minutes of refreshing content from this channel.
I had to look, I thought it was more than 10 minutes long. I guess good vibe content has that effect.
My thoughts exactly
Always a good day when millennial farmer posts!
It’s actually the complete opposite but I still watch
I agree with you exactly perfectly timed for when I get home form school

Yes it is
I love it
You should use the pre-emergent on the rocks . It might prevent them from germinating and growing so big 😂
I was thinking CLR since rocks have calcium, or iron in them. But maybe by now there is a dedicated rock remover you can spray before tillage 🤣
And so it begins...God Bless the American Farmers this year with a safe, bountiful and productive season.
new planter and learning curve and still got 100 acres in that is damn good stay safe this season
There will never be a monitor like this ever again. Most amazing monitor ever. Remarkable.

Always wondered where coloured popcorn come from now I know you grow the green ones!
Stay green and support the USA.

Wow. Hope everyone paid attention in school. ❤️
That planter and tractor setup is real nice Clark, reeeeaaallll nice 😉🇺🇸🇺🇸 congrats Zach, beautiful rig

Another awesome video!!!
Can’t wait for the next one.
The “Hardly working”comment was hilarious!!!
9:22 that is pretty awesome.
The technology in all that green equipment is truly amazing! Good luck this season!
Zach you are my hero in the way you can multitask, load planter, talk on phone and record.
Let's go...planting has begun. 👍👍👍👍

The lighting package is cool. Nice planter, Clark. I wish you a happy, healthy, and safe season.
turn your rear facing tractor lights off in field mode, gets rid of the glare. now that you have lights on the planter you won't need those to see.
And it begins, let’ s go no time to loose.❤️🇨🇦
A good planting season, be safe, and God bless all
Great job Zach.
It’s always a good day when I see you post a good boat video about your farming I’ve told many many many people about you and I live in Michigan
I hope you have better luck with this new planter compared to that frustrating POS you had last year!
they did a really nice job polishing that truck.
Great to see you getting seeds in the ground!!

Wishing you and your lovely dad much success this year Zach!! May God bless you with His abundance.
Be safe and have a great planting season!
The eyechrometer is just as good as a micrometer
Good luck this planting season. Hopefully stress free
And so it starts. Another great season. Thank you for posting.
Advanced calibration on TCM is more accurate for next time you have to cal one!!! Nice video as always!
That's what we did with the planter and tractor. I had never done it that way before
@@MillennialFarmer makes it easy! Almost harder to find where it is in the screen than doing the cal.
Thanks for another great video Zach.

I just my Scott’s push spreader to put my seed down!
Oh happy days!!! We are into another planting season!! Can't wait to have you explain the fertilizer set up for all us city folk.
Congrats on getting the season started. That is a nice planter should do you just fine.
Great opening day for you guys, all of your green equipment look awesome and nice and shinny. Hope you have a great year thanks for letting us tag along
Ok, Spring is here!! Can’t wait for all the planting videos!! Keep it between the rows!!
I remember the Sterings Wien you was starting up using the old planter… and a LOT of beeping as well. This one seems to make it way better😊
Woo-hoo planting!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas, and videos. Great update wishing you and your family the best
I’m a big LED dork, and I noticed all the lights on the tractor and planter before it got dark and immediately that I hope we get to see that thing light up at some point. Very nice man I hope this doesn’t give you fits the way that old shit heap did!
YES FINALLY SPRING PLANTING. WOOOTS!
You can set easy fold, you'll just have to hold down scv 1 and it'll do all the unfold functions automatically. We set it up before it gets sent out.
And the season has begun! So glad that the storms were not in your area!
Great job👍All the best for planting 2024🚜🌽🌽🌽🌽🌱🌱🌱
Wow all that green machinery and the tech in them nowadays 🙀🙀 so it has begun planting returns ❤❤
Nice to see the new planter rig in the fields 👍🎉
Finally some planting and spraying 😂
Pray and hope for a good season for the farm. Always nice to see the cat. Hope the crew / dogs / family and you are doing well. Take care.
Have a great and safe spring planting season. God bless
Congrats. Here in east Tx we have corn chin tall already. And it's on schedule to be ready May 25'ish.
My mom back in the day coached LL softball and the team name was "Green Machines" and the local JD dealer was the sponsor.
A whole planter's worth of working sensors is a cool thing to see!
Super!!. glad to see your planting. We've got rain tonight in the metro, hope your conditions are better to continue planting.
Nice of John Deere to catch up to Case for folding and unfolding the planter. Ha… just giving a little grief not meant to be taken super serious there
Nice hat, I purchased one and just got it and I love it
Stay safe this season
Tcm. Terrain compensation module. There are gyros in the receiver to compensate for the reviver being off the ab line in hills. The gyros also give your grade for using the display to level ground or lay tile.
You forgot to do your figure 8s before doing the tcm.
Have you ever tried the Advanced TCM calibration? I find it quite a lot easier to get a good calibration.
Have a safe season
Nice kit, hope all goes well in 2024
Awesome!! Got the planter working!!!
It should. It is new. The one the shop fell on is gone.
Yes 2024 planting with the good 8rt
TCM = Terrain Compensation Module - It calculates the tilt of the receiver so that you can stay on your AB on hills and uneven terrain!
Another great video Zach really enjoyed watching you figure that new corn planter out
Deployment, a great time to catch up on the past 12 episodes 🙈 also I need new off the husk content… with Jim finally
I wonder what tractor's you run on the farm and what you use each tractor for?
Keep up the great work zack
Superbowl party in the planter tractor with those nice monitors
Ever consider putting scrapers on the packing wheels?
Wishing you a happy, healthy planting season and ZERO issues with row .......what was it? 12?? like a few years ago! LOLOL
I hope row 12 doesn't have issues 😂
The rubber closing wheels…..? Little surprised
Hope row 12 works ok for ya! I made sure to take a good long at that row when I checked out your planter at Farm Progress Show '23 before I talked to ya at the Polaris booth. Haha
100 acres is a good day for the first day. Hopefully we dry out so you can get the rest planted
John Deere innovation, you can't beat it
Insane engineering
Looks like it'll be full-on hard work from now on.
The Welkers got the jump on you a few days ago putting peas in the ground. Farmers here in Ohio are doing field work for corn and soybeans. I don't know if they are planting yet. There has been a lot of rain and near freezing temperatures, but a strong warm up the last few days with no rain.
Absolutely awesome tractor/planter lighting. As a youngin, we stopped farming at night. Just couldn't see enough to be safe.

If I remember correctly tcm stands for terrian compensation module
What mix do you add to your water to stay hydrated, please.
May God bless you with a safe and successful season.
Hi 👋
Got a gosh darn spaceship as a planter
Thanks!
Always great to see a video from the millennial farmer
Glad y’all planting, we’re pretty much done except for cotton
Dad jokes, always gets me. Hello from serbia
It's good to get that first day of planting done
