  • Join #FishingWithDamon on day one of our incredible fishing trip to the renowned Margaree River! Join us as we tackle the well-known hatchery pool, known for its abundant brook trout. As the sun began to set, the water levels rose, creating a thrilling atmosphere. However, faced with the darkening surroundings and rising water, I made a wise decision to navigate through the woods, ensuring my safety by reaching the main road instead of risking a treacherous night-time river crossing.
During this time, my worried parents initiated a search for me, even contacting emergency services. I'm immensely grateful for their concern and want to express my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who played a part in the search efforts. Their dedication and swift action could have saved my life if an actual emergency had occurred. If you were one of those involved, I can't thank you enough. You truly made a difference, and I wish you all a blessed day.

Hi Damon. This is Daniel Host of D&R Outdoors. Glad you got out of the woods safely my friend! I remember a few years ago, me and my friend got in a issue on Osoyoos Lake in the dark in my little 12 foot aluminum boat. We got back to the dock safely. Awesome video! I'll be uploading two more sockeye salmon episodes this week and next week. Footage from August. Thank you for your support my friend! Be safe out fishing brother! God bless!

Good video. Don't stop fishing just because you had a little misadventure. Learn from it and keep moving forward. And keep the videos coming.

Enjoyed watching your adventure. Margaree rises very quickly, so you were smart not to attempt a crossing. If your ever back this way, Middle River and Skye River also awesome for Trout and not far from Margaree :)

a few items in a backpack could have made a big difference..flash light, battery pack and a phone charger cord. a fire starter or a lighter..always got to be prepared for everything..especially when alone on the river.
