I recently visited Headingham Castle, a 12th century Norman Keep in England and was just amazed how these buildings were built when there was no large machinery, no power tools, etc, and yet they are still standing after so long. The labour, materials and time that went into these amazing buildings is so impressive!
Watching just now the ceremony of reopening of Notre-Dame, it gives me faith that we still have incredible craftsmanship. We only have to make sure the meaning of our history is not lost.

Absolutely, it's one of the gifts of travel, to be able to contemplate the centuries gone by 💚🏰
Amazing to see that beautiful building and that lovely honeycomb vase! Thank you for another magical entry in your advent calendar.
Thank you 🧡 my Aliénor passion takes me places 😁
Magnificent! I doubt our modern advanced buildings will last 700 years!
