What I will always remember about Mr Roy Clark is how much joy playing music seemed to bring him. The energy and joy seemed to be wanting to burst out of him! One couldn’t help but feel some of that joy when you watched him! I
I knew Ray price pretty good. Most people don’t know this. But Ray. Was one of the greatest Game Rooster breeders in the world. I use too see him and visit with him at lots of the legal rooster fighting pits all over Oklahoma. And Louisiana. It was a legal spot back then. The government made it illegal back in the late 90’s. They messed that up like they mess everything else up they touch!!
Ray was one of the greatest country vocalists of all time, with his honky-tonk and swing music in the 1950s. But he abandond that and became a Perry Como-type crooner in the '60s and '70s. He had a very long career that way and he was held in very high esteem by those in the industry, but if you just hear one of his M-o-R records, you won't really get what he was about.
