They is gonna team up with a Dutch sextet next week and play this piece here in De Doelen, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. I love it, I won't be there to hear it, for I am on vacation, but I love the idea of them playing it live in my hometown. Via the website of De Doelen, of which I got the tip for this concert, I came across your video. Thanks a million, Alaric Rocha, :D
I really like listening but not watching this video - the footage is all sorts of wrong and spoils the emotions like you have from other performances when the camera focuses on joyful faces of the musicians and has nice transitions :(
Godamn. There's a reason this won reich the pulitzer prize for music. I can feel this shit in my bones. I love it
Timeless masterpiece!
Thank you for posting this! I was here live years ago. I loved their whole performance.

the video has musicians dropping bows and the audience yawning -- love the immediacy
People don't give this piece enough credit. Go find a score and follow along. It's more challenging than it seems. Meter changes every bar!
Thanks Alaric. @Job: The De doelen performance was great too.
@19:35 They finally get it
Was this available as a DVD somewhere? Does anyone know where I could purchase it?
The young people banging their heads and the old people shaking them in disgust- basically the definition of modern classical music...
Charles McGraw not necessarily disgust though like i tend to freak out when listening to stravinsky but its my favorite music
You guys really get reich. You always swing. Do the flautists play piano on 18 musicians?
