    I think the bat angle more related to your equipment. Soft Racket with Soft Sponge like Chinese rubber will have different contact. All depends on your feelings with that equipment. Also, weight transition is always the key.

    • @Franky_1974
      @Franky_1974 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It was great! At the beginning I had little problems with the correct timing of the body movement and weight transfer. But a few strokes have so much spin that my trainings partner couldn‘t block them correctly.
      If I close the racket, the ball often land in the net. I have to use my wrist more and learn how to accelerate the right way. These tips are very useful. Thanks. (Sorry for my bad English)

    I'm not sure but I have to say that i found out that brushing the ball too lightly means a lack of consistency and speed. I used to try to brush the ball as lighty as possible but it was really hard for me to make more than 5 Topspins in a row because when I tried to brush the ball so thin, it often happened that i missed the contact or made unintentional really awkward Topspins. I just had not the feeling that there wasn't much consistency. Another problem I had when doing topspins with thin contact was that i couldn't produce enough speed to make a winner against underspin. I used all my power to spin the ball but when the opponent got used to my spin he could block everything. So i watched some Videos and I found out that also the pros have the racket opened when topspinning. I think you can do that espacially with the plastic ball because he looses a lot of spin when coming down on the table and you don't have to give him that much spin. That's something that I found out but I want to hear what you think about it.

    • @mastro211
      @mastro211 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So that's their 3rd tip - feeling. You should feel the ball when you're brushing it - you can definitely feel it when it is brushing too fine.
      Another thing to remember is not to hit too vertical against topspin, but a little more forward through the ball.
      Last tip - never try to finely spin up if it is at least net height or the ball is coming up off the table (unless it is a deep push and you have no other option). Try spinning up on lower balls or when you have missed it's heighest point.
      These are tips I tell my students, however it is difficult to pinpoint exact problems in a message. However you may find 1 of these errors are occurring. Hope this advice helps and maybe the boys from tt daily will agree, maybe not. Their tips are great advice though!
      If you want to see my students in action with some spin check out @impulse_table_tennis on instagram and you'll see top level australian players performing these shots, and see how these tips work for them!

    i always seem to be justtt missing the edge of the table when i play forehand, i’m able to hit the ball very hard and when it makes contact with the table almost 90% of the time it’s never returned. i’m trying to incorporate more front spin so that it has more arc and it’s more consistent but i don’t know how to.
