Great to see this stuff. When I learned as a youngster, I had most of this intuitively, but it's been so long I've forgotten. You just sped up my recovery by weeks to months.
That's correct! this kind of video has a lot of information that can help other people who want to learn about this game. Kudos to both of you! More videos to come.
I think the bat angle more related to your equipment. Soft Racket with Soft Sponge like Chinese rubber will have different contact. All depends on your feelings with that equipment. Also, weight transition is always the key.
Hey guys. I am an entertainer in tenerife and love table tennis one of the better once they keep telling me. And i am so happy that you guys are here to help me improve !!
It was great! At the beginning I had little problems with the correct timing of the body movement and weight transfer. But a few strokes have so much spin that my trainings partner couldn‘t block them correctly. If I close the racket, the ball often land in the net. I have to use my wrist more and learn how to accelerate the right way. These tips are very useful. Thanks. (Sorry for my bad English)
I'm not sure but I have to say that i found out that brushing the ball too lightly means a lack of consistency and speed. I used to try to brush the ball as lighty as possible but it was really hard for me to make more than 5 Topspins in a row because when I tried to brush the ball so thin, it often happened that i missed the contact or made unintentional really awkward Topspins. I just had not the feeling that there wasn't much consistency. Another problem I had when doing topspins with thin contact was that i couldn't produce enough speed to make a winner against underspin. I used all my power to spin the ball but when the opponent got used to my spin he could block everything. So i watched some Videos and I found out that also the pros have the racket opened when topspinning. I think you can do that espacially with the plastic ball because he looses a lot of spin when coming down on the table and you don't have to give him that much spin. That's something that I found out but I want to hear what you think about it.
So that's their 3rd tip - feeling. You should feel the ball when you're brushing it - you can definitely feel it when it is brushing too fine. Another thing to remember is not to hit too vertical against topspin, but a little more forward through the ball. Last tip - never try to finely spin up if it is at least net height or the ball is coming up off the table (unless it is a deep push and you have no other option). Try spinning up on lower balls or when you have missed it's heighest point. These are tips I tell my students, however it is difficult to pinpoint exact problems in a message. However you may find 1 of these errors are occurring. Hope this advice helps and maybe the boys from tt daily will agree, maybe not. Their tips are great advice though! If you want to see my students in action with some spin check out @impulse_table_tennis on instagram and you'll see top level australian players performing these shots, and see how these tips work for them!
You guys are the best!! Plz send me info how I can support your vids or buy your merch.. I've been watching since Dan was doing videos in his cramped room
This is helpful. If i wanted to create more spin would it help to have slightly softer rubber to allow the ball to dig into the rubber and load up before getting slung off? Thanks.
Hey guys, I've been trying to decide on a new paddle and I notice you both of quality paddles that I've seen before. Could you tell me what those paddles are so I can look into maybe getting one? Thanks!
i always seem to be justtt missing the edge of the table when i play forehand, i’m able to hit the ball very hard and when it makes contact with the table almost 90% of the time it’s never returned. i’m trying to incorporate more front spin so that it has more arc and it’s more consistent but i don’t know how to.
Hi Coach Really great video I just wanted you to please tell me how should I play forehand topspin with my ""left hand"" and when to contact the ball after bouncing off from the table. Please my tournament is near and its really harder for me to play topspin with my forehead as a left handed. Hope you understand. Your tips are indeed the best and they had already helped me a lot.
Wow so many comments which not surprising a these drills are well made and easy to understand. I am a topspin offensive player but as I have gotten older I have become more upright in my stance. Not even at 76 years young I am unfit, its just lazzzzyness. Thanks guys.
Интересное упражнение для занятий: доставать падающий мяч после его прокатки по столу.И есть возможность усложнить упражнение:чем медленнее он будет катиться,тем труднее отправить его сопернику.Лайк!
WOAH . Thank you so much for those tips. If you dont mind. could you help me answer a couple question. 1) what paddle are you guys using, i noticed tom was using a stiga possible the pro carbon? I bought the stiga talon and i find it a little too light. i was thinking of getting either the stiga pro carbon or killerspin jet800 . what do yous suggest? .. i think i am between beginners and intermediate level ... 2) whats a good ball to play with? i currently using the DHS D40+ and sometimes with Butterfly G40+ . i find the butterfly G40+ a bit too heavy ... Once again . thank you

Dan vs Pongfinity
Otto and mikka will win
Miikka*
Emil is trash
@@core2878 he's good but in comparison to miikka and Otto he's not on their level. His backspin is ridiculously good

One of the best training clips. Thanks a lot. Please keep updating many more sessions🎯🥇🎯

I find essential to master all 5 tips before even thinking getting some progress.
Definitively in my top 5 videos to show beginners.
The bottle tip is genius. I was actually able to get some pretty great spin. Thank you guys!
Love how in the first tip when Tom is blocking he “accidentally” misses a backhand block to emphasise dans spin 🤣 great video though as always 👌🔥
Haha no one was meant to notice 😜 It doesnt matter how much spin is on the ball, Tom's backhand block never misses 😅
0:22 awesome chiquita..
Finally , a person that knows chiquita

This is helpful. If i wanted to create more spin would it help to have slightly softer rubber to allow the ball to dig into the rubber and load up before getting slung off? Thanks.
Yes if your not really really good, its easier produzing decent spin with softer rubbers!
Thanks guys , very helpful tips.
I want to develop spin in my game, but I've been playing for years using very bad habits. Undoing what I've already learned is proving difficult.
Hey guys, I've been trying to decide on a new paddle and I notice you both of quality paddles that I've seen before. Could you tell me what those paddles are so I can look into maybe getting one? Thanks!

How come you don't use your hips on the backhand? Is the body only for the forehand topspin?
