The point with the giant robot turning the kid into a pink mist isn't that the robot sees the kid as a threat to Itself, it's that, to a binary system (Yes threat or No threat, no reasoning Pure logic) that kid COULD be a threat to the humans Accompanying the robot, and as it was During an attack the robots programming is probably something simple like "Remove ALL threats" not "remove Immediate threat, secure area, await instruction". So yeah, still Dumb that it blew a kid into a funny coloured cloud, But it's understandable from a "find the problem and solve it" point of view.
The robot scanned for his weapons and found a knife, which the robot could identify as a close-combat weapon or to be thrown. So he could warn him to not move and the robot will not repeat itself. Then fire at one of his legs if the boy doesnt listen. There still are more if-statements to be evaluated before "kill" or "not kill". If it is able to recognize a knife, then it should be able to recognize and separate different body parts.
And even so, if you have ever programmed in your life, you can and will definitely be going with "incapacitate immediate threat" rather than "all threats" based on probability while keeping an eye on all potential threats.
no need for PP if you got no hormones. certain hormones and neurotransimtters are produced by the squishy bits in the lower body, like the kidneys and the gonads. The liver also plays a role in hormone activation. besides, you don't only have dopamine, there's also serotonin and noradrenalin, and to produce those you need some amino acids that are contained in food, like tryptophan and tyrosine, and some vitamins like D3, B vitamins, vitamin C ect. like, even as a robot, he would need a constant supply of some coctail to keep his biological parts(especially the brain) functioning if there's any inbalance in these neurotransmitters you basically get a mental disorder.

High Boi: … that put Alex’s partner in hospital…
can you explain for me please?
@@lemon_maho in the UK, possibly more countries, they say “my friend went to hospital” instead of “my friend went to the hospital” get it?
@@jezebulls ohh okay thanks
Or, and bear with me here, this phrase is just him shortening the sentence so he doesn't have to say the whole thing. He does that quite often I think
@@jezebulls i thought it was a joke on how in America you never go to the hospital cause it's so fucking expensive
America dabbling in Colonialism
The robot scanned for his weapons and found a knife, which the robot could identify as a close-combat weapon or to be thrown. So he could warn him to not move and the robot will not repeat itself. Then fire at one of his legs if the boy doesnt listen. There still are more if-statements to be evaluated before "kill" or "not kill". If it is able to recognize a knife, then it should be able to recognize and separate different body parts.
@@xxMpEGxx judging by the rounds its using even hitting the legs will kill the kid
@@deezboyeed6764 the robot should carry more than one type of rounds
And even so, if you have ever programmed in your life, you can and will definitely be going with "incapacitate immediate threat" rather than "all threats" based on probability while keeping an eye on all potential threats.
1:08 I just realized- WAR ROBOTS RIPOFF
Robocob is older than war robots lol
The Gangs of Antarctica will never die...

These scientists had all the technology in the world
And they can't give this poor man a PP
great vid, honestly, one of my fav of ur vids
And this, is where the GREEN BAR FIRST APPEARS!
The way he was surprised when he noticed they make 3 billion off of antarctica made me die. 😂
no need for PP if you got no hormones.
certain hormones and neurotransimtters are produced by the squishy bits in the lower body, like the kidneys and the gonads.
The liver also plays a role in hormone activation.
besides, you don't only have dopamine, there's also serotonin and noradrenalin, and to produce those you need some amino acids that are contained in food, like tryptophan and tyrosine, and some vitamins like D3, B vitamins, vitamin C ect.
like, even as a robot, he would need a constant supply of some coctail to keep his biological parts(especially the brain) functioning
if there's any inbalance in these neurotransmitters you basically get a mental disorder.
Totally missed the opportunity to say Robocock
I'm assuming he can't because that is a real movie. lol
@@SpaceOddity4214 what
@@sweetdannyandlisa6537 Yeah.. It's a real porn movie. I heard of it, back in the 90s.
I think there are sequels as well 😆

Rebellious penguins. That’s the crime in Antarctica
The one time he used conventional rating methods.
I had to rewind when he said «10 out of 10», because that kind of rating doesn’t work for me anymore, and I couldn’t understand.
High Boi: "All in all, great movie 10/10"
me: _visibly confused_ idk if he's serious or not...
He is, it's a great movie.
@@Minecraftian2345432 If you think so, you shouldn't watch the original. It just might blow your mind.
@@petarpetrov9989 I did, along with the sequel. Enjoyed them both immensely.
He can only be joking, this movie is garbage.
@@kronozord8346 it's not tho?
9:29, you say they can't shoot an unarmed officer but they were just shooting robocop, whaddup?
he literally has a weapon in his hand
but that thing c4n sho0t a k1d that accidently hold a kitchen knife, what a great AI indeed
if this movie had been tabletop right at around 2:30 the entire campaign would have been derailed by you, absolutely love it.
Eggnapping is a serious problem in the Penguin community
A teenager with a knife isn't a threat to a robot, but the robot was protecting the meaty fleshbags with it.
