For the year 2020, gross salary during training is 83k-84k and in-hand salary is approx 75k. The difference is because of the tax which can be saved upto 1.5 lakh per year. For the ET 19 batch, regions were not alloted based on gate marks or training marks. It was alloted by the state ( just my assumption ) . For example, all the trainees from UP state are posted in ER 1. All the trainees from Bihar and Rajasthan are posted in NR, etc. Projects in the alloted region were given based on the training marks. Test are taken each week. After regularisation, the in-hand salary will be around 92k if u take the monthly car fuel money. Right now, all the trainees are posted in Operations ( have to work in night shift as well ). During training, hostel room is alloted on sharing basis which is free. Electricity is free. Have to pay for the food though. Important point is not all NTPC Townships are good. If u want to do big things in ur life , PSUs are not for u. If want a more managerial and less technical job , NTPC is not for u. And if u want to have a stable, peaceful family life ( best PSU for this ) away from a city and u love technical stuff ( old technical stuff with almost no innovation ), NTPC is for u. Choose wisely...
If I want to do big things in life then what is for us. I think psus are good in all directions.
@@souravpatra9019 Everyone have different definitions of 'big things' in life. If u want to have a stable family life , then PSUs are good. If u want to earn alot of money and buy good cars, then PSUs are not for u. If u want to do research work , PSUs are not for u. If u want to have some experience and go for higher studies like MBA, it's good because experience in PSUs have value in it. If u want to prepare for civil services or other gov exams ,then ONGC will be best.
