Sabin's bum rush in the world of ruin is so overpowered. It's always the first destination after getting the airship.

Gau is the most relatable Character as far as motivation. While others are all about revenge or politics, Gau joins for beef jerky, and i feel that.

Just call this what it is, your overly biased tier list for someone who doesn't know how to get the most out of characters in a 20+ year old game.

My biggest problem is Sabin. All of the blitz are just special attacks from fighting games. You know what I suck at fighting games? There is a reason I'm playing a Tirn based JRPG and not Street Fighter, it's cause my thumbs are fat and I barely do a quater circle roll on a control pad , let alone two full circles.

I never thought the Chainsaw was best. So many enemies in WoR are immune to instant death. so having a 1/4 chance in guaranteed failure was a deal breaker.

I always had Locke & Celes in my group, when I could. I was 11 at the time, and I loved their story. If there ever was a part 2, Locke & Celes would be together. Edgar & Terra were my other go too characters. They always felt powerful to mee. Also, I felt that these 4 were always the most central to the story. It felt wrong not to play them. However, everytime Shadow was around, I was always thrilled to have him in the group. I hated that I couldn't just keep him in the group.

I see they nerfed Mighty guard in VI, in FFV, Mighty guard also cast levitate on all party, plus to Shell and Protect. Casting Mighty guard, Hastega and Ruby Light was a GODLIKE combination.

I think this rating system is completely arbitrary. Borderline useless level up bonuses like stamina and HP +10% should not get 3 whole points over no level up bonus, and +2 to a stat should be rated vastly higher than +1. All summons are niche, so giving that category the same weight as the other 3 categories really throws off the rankings as well.

One note about Mighty Guard (Big Guard in SNES). To have Relm successfully Sketch Land Ray (EarthGuard in SNES), her recommended Magic stats is 52 or higher and equipped with a brush. If Relm's Magic stats are too low, her sketch would only result in Poison Tail instead. (Tested during livestream while trying to get Strago to learn this. Took me some time to figure this one out.) Summary : Strago and Relm should be in the party. Relm's Magic stats should be 52 or higher and is recommended to be equipped with a brush. have someone cast Stop on the Land Ray before Relm get to Sketch it.

I remember on my first playthrough of Chrono trigger when it released back in 95 i avoided combat a lot since i had never played a game like that and found it a bit underhwleming compared to games like zelda so i encountered a frog in the end of time when fighting spekkio. After completing the game and loving combat by then i played through it again and found it odd i never encountered that frog again but now it makes sense.
