This is one of the best Emerson knive reviews on TH-cam. You put a great perspective on the things you don’t like about the knife. I love Emerson knives. They are the Glock of the knife world. I plan to make this knife my next purchase.

Strider feels the best in hand, I like choils a lot. Hinderer is the strongest and aesthetically my favorite of the three. Non-flipper variant is there for larger hands the tab would poke but flipper looks best. Chris Reeves is too elegant for my tastes. Also the wasted space between the blade and handle sucks and would have been better as a choil. Hinderer > Strider > Chris Reeves imo. How would you compare the AD20 to these?

Nice blade. 154CM is a budget level steel these days though. Shouldn't be on any knife over $100

For years I carried a 940. But to be honest with you the mini crooked River fits even better.

Love mine,recently had to send it back for a broken clip,they going to sharpen it up with new clip,i daily carry it,even use it at work,but after seeing them selling for 400-500, may need to find a new work knife

It’s a well made, beast of a knife. I have one with the optional ivory scales installed. I hate it, because the scales are super slippery. I’ve tried to scuff them up with 210 grit, profiled the scales a little, and stills feels clunky because of the scales. I have big hands, and typically look for 9” knives, but this thing is huge. If Benchmade ever re-released one, put solid, tacky scales on it. It’ll probably cost $600 though.

I have one and it's solid. I also have the T2, which is very easy in the pocket. Probably my favourite folding knives, along with the Spyderco Nilakka. However, I now mostly tend to carry cold steel folders because of the tri-ad lock, which gives great confidence and makes all other locks seem less safe.

This exact knife is in my pocket now, still love it!

People think the auto is expensive. It’s actually one of the most affordable autos you can get. Most autos have a horrible blade shape and cost a minimum of 100 more. Like a pro tech and micro tech.

That Pallas looks nice and I'm willing to bet it will perform well in heavy use tasks. Gotta have one.

Legal in Texas. Same knife. But I went full steel with rubber grip.

I've got an X1 SW version of this knife. My opinion on the TR3 is that it's the perfect knife. The only thing I think you can do to improve it is to use better blade steel but 154CM is an excellent steel. Blade shape is ideal for every situation. I love the ergonomics, I love the looks. Size is perfect. Weight is also just right for the size of this knife. I'm normally into manual knives and I sold all my autos but I kept my TR3.

Hey, just wanted to inform you, that you have a wrong information. The bits don‘t sit under the clip on the Fulcrum Mini. They are on the other side. But the O-rings are under the clip which is the problem people talk about.
