Happy New Year Kate, Brian and family. Thank you for all the fantastic videos, information and inspiration in 2024. Here’s to even greater success in 2025 🎉❤
The post holiday refresh is bittersweet for me. I miss all the sparkle, but love the opportunity to clean and reset my spaces. I could almost hear those bulbs thanking you!😊 Happy New Year!
That means so much to hear - I’m always trying to find new ways to make gardening fun! Sometimes it's just being silly in the process that keeps it fresh.
One bed at a time is the perfect way to tackle a big garden project. And honestly, it’s how I kept going this year when my garden task list was mind-boggling.
The bulbs really blend in with the leaves, would definitely be easy to miss when you're busy! Everything looks beautiful, love the variety of plants/flowers in the pot on the front porch!
It was definitely a challenge to keep track of everything! And the pot is a real favorite this year. 😊 I planted that back in September and the only thing I've pulled since then was the cabbage as it wasn't looking too good by December.
I’m going to pop out and finish planting some bulbs. I’ve got 100 fritillaria to get in the ground. With the holidays and crazy weather it’s been a challenge to wrap up planting- alliums went in yesterday. I think all should work out.😊 Happy New Year!🎉 Zone 7a
Happy New Year, Kate! I'll be resetting my porch this week too. A little bittersweet and refreshing at the same time. That deck box looks great. I need one--thanks for the heads up on that.
Hi Kate, I try to keep my winter containers till March. They are in very good shape! I love that you recycle the wreath form and the pine cones. Nice deck box! I love finding things in the garden that I forgotten about, it’s fun and it makes me laugh 🤭
Oh me too! I did the container on my porch in September and she's still looking good! I just pulled the cabbage because it was looking icky. And I'm a notorious saver of "things". Ha!
This past fall I bought a ton of bulbs from Costco & Dutch grown. When I went to plant them in my bulb containers, last years bulbs were doing well. I still pulled them out & threw them in a bucket out in my yard. Darn if they didn’t start sprouting. I spent the last couple days planting bulbs in my raised flower beds. It will be fun to see what happens. Happy New Year to you and your family. 🥳🪴❤️
I am so ready to start taking everything down and cleaning up, too. You always motivate me to get out there and tackle what I sometimes put off! Wishing you a wonderful new year! Looking forward to all you have in store for us in 2025 ❤
Oh girl... this channel and our amazing community keep me accountable! It is actually amazing what this motivation has done for my own garden journey and mental health. 💕
Happy New Year Kate! I usually take most of my Christmas decor down around this time, however I like to leave a few things in place during January just for some winter seasonality. We don't get snow here in Northern CA, so I have to rely on the fake stuff, LOL! 😄☃
Thanks for the inspiration as always. I guess it is time to take down the garland before it starts shedding all its needles. I tied everything with jute string, so the whole works can go in the yard waste bin or compost. Though the main branch may have to be sawn in half to fit...
If I made my own, that jute wire is the way to go! It took much longer to breakdown the garland, but I feel like it's worth the effort. And you take down your garland whenever you want... no pressure from me. You do you! 💕
Thank you! I'm trying to get as much done to prep for spring knowing that January is the coldest month and February I'll be knee deep in Garden Show prep.
Happy New Year to you too! And I was actually super surprised by how good it looks. It took a minute to get it assembled but it feels really well built.
Happy New Year Kate, Brian and family. Thank you for all the fantastic videos, information and inspiration in 2024. Here’s to even greater success in 2025 🎉❤
Thank you thank you! We can feel good things brewing for this year! Happy New Year and thank you one million for always showing up for us. 💕

I hear ya! It’s a little bit of both! And bittersweet is the perfect descriptor. I love all the hubbub, but also love a return of the quiet.
Happy New Year the best to you in 2025
Happy New Year, Judy!!!
Love your videos Kate, no matter what you are doing you make it interesting💚💚
That means so much to hear - I’m always trying to find new ways to make gardening fun! Sometimes it's just being silly in the process that keeps it fresh.
Thank you, thank you Kate! It is bittersweet to take down our beautiful decorations. But it feels good to clean up and “reset.”
Even if the house is still a mess from. Christmas, having the front porch done is such a good feeling! Happy New Year, friend!
I love your frame boxes on your front porch. I think this is the first time I am absorbing them; how versatile!
I think I have them styled differently in almost every season… and I love them each time! They were a crazy good Home Goods find.
Exactly my plan to do just one thing each week in my garden. Today is clean out one of the 7 beds in the raised bed garden and add compost.

Raise your hand if you still have bulbs to plant. 🙋🏼♀️ I’m so bummed I didn’t order fritillaria… it’s so good!

I have no idea how it was still at Costco… maybe it was a return? Either way, it was $150 which I thought was a good deal for how large it is.

Haha! “Those are good pine cones!” I love it! Happy New Year Kate & family!
This is why Brian edits… because he doesn’t take out the crazy stuff I say. 😆 For Pete’s sake… “good pinecones”. 🤪
@ I love it Kate! And totally concur!

Could u have saved the eucalyptus ? Even just crushed for the bath scent?
Happy New 🌿Year
I bet I could’ve! Honestly, the dried eucalyptus still smelled amazing. But I just decided its future was compost.

@HelloGarden it's done! And best of all, by my son, who was happy to have the chance to use the woodsaw to cut up the big branch.
Sweet boy. I love having three sons.
Happy New Year Kate & Brian 🥳🥳
