sooo - I have an ET-3600 - there is no such setting screen - options (other than buying a new one)?

I've been so lucky because I have had my printer for about 3 years. I have gone months without printing and never had a problem. Until now. I had Christmas gifts I needed to make, and first, the cyan and then the yellow stopped printing. I spent 2 days printing purge files and cleaning the print heads. I let it sit for over 12 hours and saw zero improvement when printing 5 more purge files. I finally did the power cleaning because I was out of time. It worked, and the tumbler I was making turned out amazing! From now on, I will print at least once a week. I have the ET-15000 and I can't afford to buy a new one.

With 2 exceptions. 1) You don't use the printer often. 2) You have had the printer in storage a long time. In either case, the print head nozzles dry out whereas the ink crystalizes. I learnt the hard way to end up doing a power clean at least twice. She has been a good girl since.

Great video. I am just starting with a new epson 1810 as sublimation printer. This info is just great. I am also looking at bypassing the box and dropping the ink into an external bottle.

Epson says 1/3 full not because it uses all 1/3 tank of ink. But to ensure there is enough ink left after the power clean to not dry the tank or lines.

I have an epson 2870 that I converted for sublimation. But I can't seem to find a full print menu in any programme I have tried so far. I have nothing like the options you have in this video. I can't choose colour settings or paper settings or mirroring. I have a very basic menu and I don't understand why. Even my much cheaper printers have a full menu under 'properties', but not this epson 2870. Because I can't seem to change more than the basic settings, my sublimation prints are not coming out very well. It's so frustrating.

Thank you so much for the excellent guidance given in this tutorial. I was about to give up on my Epson WF-5620 multifunction cartridge printer which I've had for 7 years as I couldn't get the magenta to print other than a dirty greyish brown sort of colour, obviously contaminated by other colours. I did 6 runs using a purge file and whilst the magenta isn't perfect, its a great deal better. Maybe I'll get some more useage out of this machine.

I've tried almost a hundred times over several days on my 2720, I've even tried warming the printer with an hair drier to see if would help liquify the ink but to no avail, I think I really have to resort to the last resort. And I think I'm justified given I have no cyan and no black. Not even being able to print in black and white is pretty terrible. Update: Turns out a couple of head cleaning fixed the problem. With a few more purge prints and is good as new!

I’ve tried all the maintenance on my Epson printer. Seems to be working afterwards. The first page printed is great but with each new page printed horizontal white lines increase and increase. Do you have a video to fix this?

I've done this and it works. But the problem is when I use its xerox copy option the problem still exists.

First off, I just wanted to say THAAAAAAAANK YOU!!! I really appreciate this video you made. I originally bought the Epson ET-2800 to do sublimation in 2023 because when I looked up sublimation printers, this seemed to be a great one & wouldn't kill my bank account. Well, I should've done more research, because I used the inks it came with. Oops! So, I recently bought another Epson ET-2800 & sublimation ink. As I opened everything this morning, I didn't know it was coming with x4 5mL syringes. Your video helped me with making sure I put the ink in the appropriate spot! So, again, thank you so much! And now, you also have a new subscriber!🥳💯 I'm sure I will have many questions, but one question real quick, how do I make my designs so I can print them? I can't seem to find a program that allows me to do my designs & print them out, so I'm kind of at a loss. I do use cricut design space & make my pieces, but I'm looking to do more sublimation to cut down costs. Any help is greatly appreciated! But wait -- is there a chip? And have you ever done a power cleaning? Seriously: if you were to actually _script_ your content, and you avoided pointless repetition, this video could have been less than half as long. Instead, you ad-libbed it, and told us 4 or 5 times that the 2720 has no chip, and probably *8 times* that you never do power cleanings (to cite just two examples of your repetition). Have a little more respect for your viewers' time.

This worked for me!! It's genius, thank you @QuickSPI and I am shocked that @Epson doesn't have this information on their manuals in the troubleshooting area?! Like many of you, I also was mere clicks away from power cleaning after being led astray from another video. Don't do it!! I made my purge sheet in a Google doc and used the table feature to make the shapes. Tip, when you fill in table with the hex colors, don't use a border color. That way it prints the paper blank until it's working and you can reuse the blank paper later. I also alternated with nozzle cleanings and printing purge sheets (10-20 at a time), and issue cleared up within 40 minutes. All three of my colors weren't printing so I made a rectangle for each color on each page.

Unfortunately this hasn’t worked for me, at all. I’ve printed over 100 pages and after power cleaning and only blue work. Yellow seems to be coming in but slightly. Is this a physical problem? I don’t understand why after printing perfectly daily it just stopped?

Goodness every time I come across this video it saves me soooo much hassle. THANK YOU! For Photoshop people, go to filter > camera raw filter > pop out the color menu then adjust temperature. Move it towards the blue. For me the MORE blue, the better as it neutralizes when pressed

Woops, this explains why my printer always needs new ink pads

This did not work for me. I tried printing just blue multiple times and nothing. What worked was doing a head cleaning 7 times! 1st and 2nd time the blue wasn't showing in the nozzle check, then the yellow AND the blue weren't showing, then the blue was showing but not the yellow, then the blue continued showing and the yellow was patchy, then the yellow disappeared again, then finally they 7th time all colors showed.

Talk too much unless information.

sadly this didn't work for me, I've tried printing a page of Cyan 4 times and it's still not working at all, so I'll have to try the power clean. But I appreciate the video, thanks for trying

if you power clean take your collection pot out of your printer cut top of pop bottle of and put it in the collection pot spot so it don't fill maintance box it fills the pop bottle I do this when I buy a used one that's plugged up
