    Great video and you know your stuff, But i need to say one thing, If that was my car you were working on i hope there would be blanket covers on sides and front to protect my paint job from all the stuff you put on the car especially the front, Anything can scratch or drop. Most mechanics dont take the time to cover or be careful on doing there work, I am OCD, I know every mark on my car and sound. I just got my exhaust catalytic pipe fixed twice and still there is a slight noise that I have never heard before until they worked on it. I assure you it was never ever there until they worked on it....They deny it of coarse as usual.... I hate mechanics cause i deal with alot of crap not getting good work or admitting that they did something to my car thats not right,,, It sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    i just replaced the steering rack and noisy power steering pump and lines on my daughters 07 gp sc series 3 135k miles, then found out it was the int steering shaft causing all the play... replaced that all good. also you may be doing a timing cover gasket on that soon. had to do that job a couple years ago for a coolant leak replaced water pump too on that job. then i had to replace a leaky heater core 2 years later, decided to replace the radiater too and hoses to keep the system clean and cool. now everything has been good, but starting to get lifter tap when cold and a very very slow coolant leak or burn. may be doing lim gasket and lefters here soon.. love these old 3.8 motors

    Did this process to my 2018 equinox. Brakes went out and went stiff. Had to removed valve cover and clear debris from vacuum pump. Put everything back together with new vacuum pump. It’s not turning over. There’s power, the engine is cranking, spark plugs are not flooded, spark plugs have spark and fuel is definitely going to engine. It just keeps cranking but not turning on. Also tried attaching a booster pack to battery. The dash states “low engine power”. Any advice?

    • @yersky2
      @yersky2 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Reluctor wheel spun. Pull the valve cover completely and you can confirm by looking at the hex on the exhaust cam. There will be a qr code on one part of the hex and that will line up with a single prong on the reluctor wheel. Replace the cam if it's not lined(or tap lightly with a hammer until it's back where it needs to be but you didn't hear that from me....)

    Glad to see someone is still actually driving and taking good care of this vehicle. I have two myself in great condition and I make sure I keep em in tip top condition.. One of my 97(the one in profile pic) Vics unfortunately is undergoing surgery 😢 Doing head gaskets, timing, valve covers, intake manifold, water pump hose, oil filter housing gasket, oil pan gasket, new exhaust and radiator. I hit the sub button, looking forward to watching you tinker 😎

    covers. rub down the blue, ruff. then the paint wont flow off as much.. ford script.. try painting a small polly pipe, roll it across few times.. paint transfer, & its dissimilar metals.. i piant ,greese, oil, never sieze, everything i put back. depending on part.. that 302 is blue painted & balanced.. lol..

    cheap power.. 460 , ditch the fuel inject. heads are good, or, alloy heads decent cam, flat tops. 500 mustangs easy.. cheap..they do 7000 revs std, no probs.. canted valves, no adjust rockers, big valves, ins, outs, all the sht chev dont have.. even the LS chunk,. LS, look like an updated FE. shows how far behind chev are.. ausie.. if you watch our bathurst, with holdens, cough, chev, winning, its because they cheat & use ford parts..
