Camping With Kim
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 9 ก.พ. 2023
I recently took up camping and want to save and share my experiences with videos. Just trying to get myself out there and enjoy. I may not have all of the best gear or a real "overlanding" vehicle, but for now I'll try to make do with what I have.
Thanks for watching

Ottawa River Camping at Driftwood Provincial Park, Canada
Welcome to Camping with Kim - my newish camping channel and sixteenth adventure! If you are here for the first time, I don’t talk in my videos. Please join me and enjoy watching my laid-back camping mini adventures where I just get away from Toronto and do a bit of relaxing camping.
On this adventure, I take a 5 hour drive north east of Toronto to Driftwood Provincial Park. It’s a pretty far park to do an overnight stay but it’s doable if you break up the driving with stops. I pass by some places that I’ve visited before but also some new ones as well.
Because of some heavy rains, the chute at Egan Chutes was quite powerful. What a sight to see, hear and feel! I also stumbled upon a baby waterfall called Gariepy Creek Falls which I got to by way of an unmarked trail on the side of road at GPS coordinated 45.7257,-77.3897. It’s a very short hike to the waterfall and well worth it even though there were quite a few mosquitos along the way.
When I finally arrived at Driftwood Provincial Park, all the sites were full. I didn’t expect it to be so busy but I had my beautiful waterfront site reserved next to the Ottawa River. The view from the site was just perfect to catch a beautiful sunset across the water after on-and-off cloudy day. There aren’t many hiking trails at this park so the main attraction of this park is definitely the Ottawa River.
It cooled off at night but I slept comfortably in my car with just a light throw blanket. From the long trip and everything I did on the first day, I slept in quite a bit and found myself waking up mid-morning. I quickly have brunch, pack up and head next door to Algonquin Park because I was craving an epic scenic hike.
After a short drive on dirt roads, I find myself crossing into Algonquin at the Sand Lake Gate entrance ready to take on the Barron Canyon Trail. My wishes were answered and the views from the top of the canyon were truly impressive. I couldn’t think of a better way to finish off my little adventure than to sit at the top and soak in the views.
Thanks for watching my little adventures and see you again next time!!

Great set up. Can I ask- does the woodstove take a while to cool down before you can pack it up? Many thanks!
Love your videos. Me and my partner have own a CRV like yours as well. Did you make modifications on yours or is it just all stock?
Thanks! On my new CRV, I had to build a bed platform because the rear doesn't fold down flat anymore. I made a quick video of that here: th-cam.com/video/pnPB2PNbhbo/w-d-xo.html - but other than that, I didn't really have to do anything else! have fun out there! :)
Wow. I've got a 2020, and with the cargo platform in the upper position, it all folds down fairly flat. What did Honda change to make that hump?!
Yup unfortunately even with the cargo platform in the highest spot, the back of the seats still end up higher than the platform. Hopefully Honda fixes this in the future modes because I really like the CRV!
@campingwithkim No doubt! They kind of went backwards on what was a great setup!
Hi Kim , I’m glad to seeing you again, enjoy watching you camping.
Hi Jenny! Happy to hear from you again and thank you. Hope you had a nice summer
Hi Kim, this is Dave from Ohio and I just want to say that I enjoyed this video a lot. I really liked that cup that you mixed your drink in. Is that cup made of wood? You went all out having that rib dinner. It looked delicious 😋. That collapsible kayak was a perfect fit in your carrier. Looking forward in catching up and watching more videos. Thanks for sharing 🫶👍
Hi Dave, I hope you were able to go do all your planned camping this year! Yes, the cup is made of wood but I just bought it instead of some who can make one themselves. Thanks for watching again!
Kim, I wasn’t able to camp this year. But I’m hoping to camp next year. I was thinking of traveling into Canada. I’m only a few hours from the border. I’ll let you know. Take care
Love the couch inside. Looks so cozy. Thanks for sharing and have a great winter ahead.
Hi Kyle - I never even considered having a frivolous things like a couch while camping, but it turns out it is pretty nice to be able to lounge around like it's my living room 😁
Hi Kim, just wondering if Boundless Voyage, titanium camping equipment is good quality stuff. Looking at buying some new equipment, love your videos 👍👍👍
Hi! I haven't had any problems with boundless voyage compared to my friend's snowpeak stuff. I'm sure there are quality differences for the price, but so far I've been happy with mine for camping. Just a note that pan frying anything with titanium is really hard so you'll see me go back to a small cast iron for pan frying hehe
Hi Kim silent lake park is 10 minutes from my house. I have never camped 🏕 there, but my dad and I used to ice fish there alot, we caught alot of fish through the ice there over the years. My o my you definitely have the nicest toys in the neighborhood too play with. Nice video work, the chic a Dee's will eat out of your hand there as well as the nut hatchs. Would like to meet you one day at Tim's here in town for coffee ☕️ a chat & something sweet
Awesome set up you have Kim 👍👍👍 ,do you summer camp 🏕 and canoe as well, I live 4o minutes away from Algonquin east gate, lm 50 miles from the landing on opeongo lake, love the area l grew up here, great content
Hi Perry, thank you! I do summer camping as well but there's something special about doing it in the winter. The silence is golden when the park is less crowded. I don't own a canoe but I've rented from the local algonquin outfitters once in awhile when I go camping with friends. When I solo camp, I enjoy using my Oru lake single person origami kayak. It must be so nice to live out next to nature and the lakes. You're very luck to have grown up there
What bed did you put on your platform? Me and my wife are going to travel in our 2025 crv next year and were going to use your platform / bed idea to travel cheap :) thank you
Hello! I've been using the Zinus Gel Memory Foam 5 Inch Tri-Fold Folding Mattress. It's super comfortable and affordable on Amazon. Safe travels!
@@campingwithkimthank you!
Such a nice video! It’s my first year in Ontario, also planing to have camping in the snow maybe this winter! Thanks for sharing
Have fun! Cute puppy! 🥰and thank you!
This is such a great and simple solution! I like that there is a great support system with the long boards. I want to fashion a narrow bed (it's just me and my pup) so this would work well. Thanks!
Glad you like it!
Can you share the site details?
Sure! This was on "George Lake D" Site #88
Hi Kim, Can you share the name of the brand or link of the product, As I was looking for a hot tent wood stove, Came across your video.
Hi Cipher - sorry for late reply, I'm not getting my alerts for some reason. The stove is a "Smilodon" titanium ultralight folding stove and I chose the option for 2 windows and 3 meter chimney! Hope that helps
Wonderful vid Kim! Thank you for sharing with us :)
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. It have fun getting out there
Hi Kim, I am so happy to find your channel luckily. I am also solo female camper living in Toronto But I am not an expert like you. Your videos inspired me a lot and I enjoyed watching your last videos. Some campsites you went I have been too. I am so impressed what you've done! I am looking forward to seeing your next journey and I will support you! Thanks for sharing !
Thanks for your nice comments! :)
Love your videos! I got the same car did you make that foldable bed on did you buy it ?
Thank you! I made the bed and made a little video of it here! th-cam.com/video/pnPB2PNbhbo/w-d-xo.html
Love your videos Kim!, Your videos are well edited and you deserve more subscribers.
Thanks! hehe
Possible to get all the dimensions
Hi Jesse! I made a little diagram here with the measurements: i.ibb.co/KbzT867/measurements.jpg
@@campingwithkim thank you!!!!!
i really admire your courage , i cant even go for a walk on a trail on my own. I'm scared of cayote and bears ,lol.
Thanks! I almost always carry bear spray and bear dinner bells haha! So far I think I've only seen 4 bears and 3 moose in many many hikes so I think it's pretty rare! Usually they know you are there before you do and want to distance themselves anyway :)
Seeing one of your videos was a nice birthday present. Always enjoy them. Keep up the great work. 👍
Happy Birthday! and thank you :)
I don't know how you ger all that gear you bring on a bike. thats impressive
ya I'm pretty good at tetris haha! I've been collecting gear slowly to work up towards backpacking so I feel motorcycle camping is easier -- I don't have to worry too much about weight and I can go over my 70L bag limit by strapping things on top of it while wearing a backpack. I'm still not totally ready for backpacking though as my camping gear is too heavy for me hike with
@@campingwithkim es, your choice of cooking gear and tent will have to be alot smaller for backpacking....not sure if you knew or not, but if you come accross free firewood again and its wet, try spitting it, the inside is usually dry and will burn, also when you get the fire going lay the other wet logs on the grill of the firepit, this will dry them out
Thanks for the tip!! I'll have to try next time. I need to up my rain camping skills :)
This is one of my favourite places! I have only been once and didn’t get to do the crack, can’t wait to go back! I went in march. One night freezing in a tent the second night in a yurt. It’s my favourite provincial park so far. Algonquin is a close second
Hi Dave - The Crack was on my hiking bucket list for far too long! I saw everybody talking about it so I knew I had to do it. I hope you get to go back to do it soon and stay in some nice weather. I wouldn't mind going back to explore canoe routes myself. Have you hiked up the Sleeping Giant? that one is amazing too!
@@campingwithkim haven’t made it to the giant yet. Definitely on my bucket list!
Terrific video! I'm near London and very impressed by your camping trip videos. My wife asked me about your cooking utensils in the roll-up pouch. Is it something that can be purchased? As a fellow CRVer, keep the adventures coming!
Hi Peter! Thank you and nice to hear from a fellow CRVer :) I actually pieced together my utensil set over time as I encountered 'I-wish-I-had' moments at camp so I didn't buy it as a packaged set. I did see some impressive looking sets online but you and your wife may still wish to customize them further with things you prefer.
Thanks for the great video! Can you tell us the name of the tent?
Thanks!! This tent is the Mountain Hiker Dome Tent (8 to 10 person size)
Hi Kim, Thank you for the video. I am from Vancouver Island and just had my first car camping at Goldstream provincial park with my little dog a month ago. Would you mind telling me the tent that you were using in the video? Is it hard to setup by one person?
Hi Selina, Nice to hear from you in Vancouver Island! The tent I used was the Coleman 8-Person Instant Cabin Tent but is an older model of this one: www.coleman.com/tents-canopies/tents-by-size/8-9-person-tents/8-person-instant-cabin-tent/SAP_2000018296.html As long as it's not windy, this is probably the easiest and quickest tents to setup solo. The only problem is that it's a bit heavy with all of its extending and folding poles, but the weight is a trade off for the ease of setup. If you don't count the time to peg down the tent, the whole tent can be fully standing within 5 minutes! For your little dog, I would also recommend putting an extra carpet or padding down on the inside to make it more comfy to lie down or roll around on, Thanks for watching!
I was curious about Goldstream Provincial Park that you mentioned and that tall waterfall looks amazing!
So she went camping to setup a tent for a kitchen, start a fir on a grill outside to stay warm but sleep in the car? 25:43
Hi DJ, I hear your feeling of disdain. I'm by no means an expert camper and I'm just starting out camping so I don't have all the gear that other normal campers have. For me, I just try to make do with what I have to mainly enjoy the outdoors my own way. That's not to say that I haven't been adding to my collection as time goes on, but I try to watch my wallet too
Hi Kim, I’m glad that you are camping again. I enjoyed watching you hike up to the top of “the crack”. But I must say that Vietnamese sandwich looked quite tasty. I had before and I loved it. But if I ate that after my hike I would probably have fallen asleep 😂. I’m glad that you are camping again and look forward in watching more of your adventures 🫶🙏
Hi Dave, thank you and I hope your camping plans have kicked off and you're enjoying the great outdoors as well!
Gorgeous presentation my friend, this looks and sounds amazing!
Thank you so much 🤗
That looked Grim, wind an cold
haha I definitely had a moment here where I wondered if I should have just curled up in bed and had an MRE instead 😅
Hi Kim, I haven't seen you for a while. Hope everything is going well with you. I'm glad you able to get out and enjoy your moments again.
Hi Jenny! Yes, it has been quite awhile since I've been able to get outside and then also piece together the video! Thanks for looking out for me. Have you planned any little adventures this year with your CRV? I better plan too before all the good places are booked up :)
Love your set up, Where can I get that stand and light you use at 7:05
Hi Christopher, Thanks and sorry I missed seeing your message earlier! The light stand is a generic piece I found browsing online. You'll find many options using the search terms "Folding Camping Lantern Stand Pole" on Amazon, etc. As for the light, I got a pair of them from Aliexpress and you can find it by searching "80W MOS-LY01-1PCS" for a single piece. I wasn't sure if it was going to be a nice light but it turned out to be plenty bright with a really good battery life. Recharging it can take a long while though.
Hi Kim, I never realized that there was a big difference between the 2 years. I own a 2019 CRV which I am quite satisfied. The only thing I missed was a cd player. However, I sync my iPhone with the Bluetooth so I can play my Spotify. When I bought my CRV, I disliked the tires that came with it so, after a couple of years, I broke down and bought the tires that came with the car back in 2016. They were Hanook which was no regrets. Btw, great modifications on your 2023 raising the platform in the rear so you’ll be able sleep the length of the vehicle. Thanks Kim for the comparison 🙏🫶
Hi Kim, you are correct when to expect the unexpected when you had to evacuate early. The time spent at Marten River was very nice and falling asleep to the sounds of the wildlife. I to have a portable air conditioner which I’m planning to use, if necessary when I reach Bryce Canyon and the Arches in Utah in June. It can be very warm 🥵 so I’m coming prepared. Good idea about the bug netting about your head👍. I have to get one. Thank you the lake scenery when you kayaking. Very nice and peaceful. Looking forward to your adventure 🏕️🫶🙏
Hi Dave - I hope we don't have a repeat of last year's forest fires. I still remember the air quality in the weeks after all the fires started were horrible. I agree with the air conditioner - it may sound weird to use one when camping, but sometimes it's just way too hot! For the bug hat - I really like that it keeps the net off my face even though I look a bit like a rice farmer! haha Thanks again for watching!
Hi Kim, I enjoyed your trip to 6 mile lake park. It was very peaceful and certain amount of calmness. Loved the dancing bear😁. I think what through me off was the kayak🚣🏻♀️. I have never seen a collapsable kayak or any type of water floatation device 🤔. Inflated yes but not folding in a sense. So cool👍. Camping at 6 miles looks amazing and will have to put it on my list in the fall. Thanks Kim for another amazing video 🙏🫶
Hi Dave! The folding kayak is really cool! I don't really have space to mount a kayak on my roof next to the roof box, so having one that fits neatly into my trunk is great. It's also very very light weight and tracks decently straight in the waters. The only thing is that I had it shipped up from California, so it was a bit costly after duties and all, but I've enjoyed using it quite a bit, so still worth it to me. Thanks again!
Hi Kim, Dave from Ohio. I really enjoyed this video of Silent Lake camping. The segment where you set a handful of seeds for the birds to get especially in slo-mo was excellent along with the music🐦⬛🎼. My intentions is to go through each episode until I get caught up😁. Loved the pizza oven, never seen one used until now👍. Kim, you do have a sweet tooth 🍰😂 which is fine it keeps you energized 👍. I enjoyed watching and look forward in watching more 🙏🫶.
Hi Dave, the slow-mo birds was one of my favourite parts of all my videos too! It was so amazing to see them fly around at such high speeds. Slow-mo showed me that they're almost living in another reality where they make so many split second moves mid-flight. Really amazing! I definitely do have a sweet tooth :)
Hi Kim, I have to compliment you on your first video. I should had known it would be winter camping 😁. You have some athletic abilities when you were taking shots in the goal net🥅🏒. Enjoyed your culinary talents especially one pot of rice, chinese sausage and veggies😋. I liked this video and it seems that Canada offers beautiful parks to camp👍. Thank you for sharing 🙏🫶
Hi Dave! Thanks! I play ringette which is somewhat like hockey. There's definitely no shortage of parks to camp at in Canada! The only problem is that they can get extremely busy during the warm seasons. As for the rice pot, I've definitely been trying to bring the comforts of home cooking with me when I go camping. For some reason everything tastes better out in the forest 😋
Hi Kim, Dave from Ohio. Enjoyed the beautiful winter scenery near Lake Huron. I have to admit that I am quite interested in camping there. But, I’m thinking of the fall season where the leaves are turning🍁🏕️. This might happen 🤔. Anyway, enjoyed the video Kim and the cute red squirrel eating. Thank you for sharing 🙏
Hi Dave! Although I didn't catch it this time, the sunsets on Lake Huron are very nice too as it goes down over the water as well. Perhaps seeing the turning leaves with the sun setting would make a great video 😀 Thanks again for watching!
Kim, I’m working in possibly setting my own channel. It would be nice to share my experiences. I’m still on the trial stage.
Hi Dave, that's great!! I hope you do set one up and share with the world because it sounds like you have some pretty awesome trips planned for this year!
congrats on your first back country!! can you share the gear you used for the tent and tent stove?
Thank you! I still live on haha! My tent stove is the Smilodon T-Mini Ultralight Titanium with the 3 window and 3 meter chimney options. In my research, lots of other people on the Internet go with Polmoly stoves in case you want to look at other options. As for the tent, it's a MCETO TX400PRO with snow skirt teepee tent. It is pretty large spanning 4 meters diagonally and it has two doors and air vents. It came with the hot tent flap too. A more popular brand to also check out is Esker. Enjoy!
oh also, you can see closeup views and burn-in of my stove in this video: th-cam.com/video/AFxOSUiGIOc/w-d-xo.html
Hi Kim, I throughly enjoyed this video despite it was still winter🥶. You did tell me that you enjoy winter camping anyway🥶🏕️😂. I will have to try one of these days👍. I do own a 4 season tent but no heater. That’s ok, I’ll bring my electric blanket lol. You are impressive with your talents in the culinary arts. I am impressed with the wok which handle fine. I’m planning to camp out in one of the state parks in Pennsylvania in a couple of weeks. Lastly, I liked the view of the frozen lake from your campsite 🫶. Thank you Kim for sharing🙏
Hi Dave,🥶 It sounds like you are quite well equipped for all types of camping already with your 4 season tent and SUV! I am actually still in the gear collection stage, which seems to never end or it may just be a shopping addiction 😅. Speaking of which, this baby wok is one of my favourite camp gear purchases so far! It's actually quite light weight but admittedly a bit bulky. It opened up a lot of cooking options for me due to its versatility. Have fun on your Pennsylvania camping trip -- I think it'll be perfect temperatures by then! Thanks for watching!
I am not equipped as some true campers are. I have enough to get me by and if I see a deal I just may buy it if I can justify why. A lot of stuff was given to me by my parents who were avid campers.
What I've learned so far is that true camping is whatever you make it to be! I like watching all sorts of campers - from minimalist campers all the way to glamping super luxury rigs. I haven't really decided what's best for me yet, so I continue to try different kinds of camping
Hi Kim, I have to say that your videos are more appealing each one I watch. The video moment with the Blue Jays 👍. Your meals look tasty 😋 and the ice fishing 🐟, though you didn’t catch anything the cinematography was great as the camera went under the ice👍. Love the drone experience which is always great. Looking forward in your next adventure 🙏
Hi Dave! Thanks again! I really loved the Blue Jays for having brunch with me too! I also really hope to spend more time ice fishing next year because it really did feel peaceful out there. The sun was warm and the air was so clean and clear. I didn't mind that I didn't catch any fish for the experience alone. I wanted to poke my camera under water to see if any fish would be swimming around but it was wishful thinking. On a darker tone, I also wondered what I would see if I fell through the ice!! haha
Hi Kim, I wanted to say that I enjoyed this video. I have always wanted to try winter camping but never got the nerve to do it. I got a fully equipped vehicle to handle any condition, heat or cold. We don’t get the snow in central Ohio so I would have to travel north into Michigan. I liked this video because it shows me the possibility of the conditions surrounding me and the “what if”. Perhaps, next winter I might take that chance🤔. Love the penguin family (very original)❤️. Lastly, I never thought of using levelers on my suv. Thank you Kim 🙏
Hi Dave! Winter camping is actually my favourite time of year to camp! Usually nobody is around on the trails and campsites are practically empty too. The landscape changes into something totally different and there are practically no bugs to deal with (big bonus!). Doing a bit more in preparation to deal with the "what ifs" is well worth the enjoyment for me. For this video, I wasn't sure where I was going to be parking or if there would be rocks or wood for me to roll onto, so the levellers came in handy to help me from sliding down my mattress. The un-levelness happened to me once and I really didn't have a good sleep as I kept having to re-center myself all night. Thanks again for watching! :)
Hi Kim, Dave from Ohio here. I really enjoyed your motorcycle trip to Balsam Lake. It amazing how much stuff you packed. Sorry about the rain but it was a good thing in bringing your motorcycle cover🏍️💦. I enjoyed dinner with rice which made me happy. It was nice that the neighboring campers gave you wood for a fire. This is a great video. Thank you for sharing 🙏
Hi Dave! Thank you :) I've met the nicest people while camping - of course there can be exceptions but I think generally it draws the nice-people crowd :) I hope to try some more motorcycle camping soon as it gets warmer ☀️
Hello Kim, this is Dave from Ohio. First time subscriber and I enjoyed this video. I’m a solo male camper who just restarted camping last year. What was interesting was that I to prefer instant tents, which is so easy to set up and I want to enjoy my time being surrounded by nature and playing with poles😂. I also own a CRV which I did a road trip to Yellowstone while camping along the way. But, the thing that interests me that you’re just over the border, Canada seems to have a lot of wonderful places to camp especially near Lake Ontario. Kim, I did enjoyed this video and plan to watch more. Thank you and bless you 🙏
Hi Dave! Welcome and thank you so much for your kind words. That's great to hear that you've re-taken up camping which is such a nice way to travel and explore. It's on my list to explore across the boarder too ..some day!! I keep watching videos of all the beautiful State/National parks but it'll have to wait until I can get away for longer periods of time. In the past, I have actually driven through parts of Ohio from Toronto but didn't get to spend much time. It's too bad the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley doesn't allow for camping anymore, but the iconic waterfall and rock formations are definitely things I'd want to see in person some day! I hope you continue to have some great camping adventures!
Hi Kim, my trip this year is to travel north and camp in Mackinac Island MI and then travel across the U.S./Canadian border until I reach Glacier National Park where I plan to hike and camp. I’m hoping to travel to Nova Scotia,PEI and across to Quebec and Montreal. Thanks for responding back to this solo male camper😁
Hi Dave - very nice plan! If you are travelling through on the Canadian side over Lake Superior and have some time, I would recommend stopping by to see Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park and hiking Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. The views at both are amazing. Although there are many many places to see along Lake Superior, these two would be top two. When you're in Nova Scotia, there's a lesser known place called The Ovens Park which is worth a visit/stay - it's a very interesting little place. If you like seafood, have a snack at Murphy's Fish & Chips to try their Digby Scallops! In Quebec and Montreal, just about any French restaurant is great to try. You may want to bring google translate in the Quebec city area to help with French only signage and menus. I've never been to Glacier National Park but have visited Jasper and Banff. I bet it will be spectacular there too!
Kim, I will in taking my passport just in case 👍. Thank you for all your advice🫶.
How to do you edit ✍️ videos in which software?
I have been using Adobe Premiere Pro and TH-cam Studio Editor for now but I'm still learning!
Keep it up ❤ from India 🇮🇳
Hello to you in India! :) Thank you for watching
what roof box are you using? do you notice it has lots of road noise?
I'm using a Thule large size box and I think the model is the Convoy XT. I often forget it's even there and it doesn't make any noise at all. Usually I open the sunroof to take a look to make sure it's still up there haha. The mounting system is amazingly easy with its twist-to-tighten claws. Definitely try to wait for it to go on sale though.
I just discovered your channel and just wanted to say how brave on you as a woman for doing those things. Great job and I love your outdoor lifestyle and camping setup! I also have a 24 CR-V. Do you mind telling us which bike carrier you are using as well as the bike?
Thank you! Sure, I'm using the CCM 2-Bike Platform Hitch Mount Bike Rack, added Fat Tire cradles (the tire trays can be changed) and I tightened up the whole thing more by adding an anti rattle hitch tightener too! Oh I also added LED brake strip lights to the carrier to make sure people can see me braking which plug right into the Honda trailer electrical harness. My bike is a NCM Aspen Plus which is pretty stock except for some mirrors and lights.
@@campingwithkim Awesome thanks so much, you got a new subscriber! Also how do you prevent theft of your bike when unattended? Is there a quality lock you use?
Oh thank you!! For bike security, I inherited a very old 1" thick gauge bike cable lock which I loop through the bike, carrier and hitch bracket. I doubt they sell it anymore as I can't find anything like it anywhere. If I were to buy something new, I'd find the thickest cable or chain and lock it with a Kryptonite bike lock. I also have a black cover that I use to keep the bike out of plain sight if I leave it for a long time - like if I go for a day long hike. The cover also protects the bike when it rains. Hope that helps!
Kim, what tent do you use? Also- greetings from Kitchener Waterloo!! Happy to see another female camping channel ❤
Hello fellow Ontarian! :) In this video, I'm using a Danchel B2 Yurt/Bell tent. I cut my own ground tarp to protect the floor and the awning is just a random tarp with a pole which also doesn't come with the tent. Thanks for watching! :)
@@campingwithkim Thank you thank you!! I noticed I have the same wood stove that you use in this particular video (it was on sale at Princess Auto so I had to try it), thouht I would try out the tent because I love how roomie it looks!
No problem! Our Princess Auto stove sure was a very good buy! One more tip though, when pairing it with this tent in the future, I am thinking of getting some extra car exhaust pipe or changing to a roll-up chimney to extend the chimney height because this tent is 2.5 meters tall. When I set it up I didn't feel the Princess Auto stove chimney was quite tall enough yet - could use another 0.5 to 1 meter to make me feel better at night
@@campingwithkim Oh good call!!
Love love love your videos!! Keep them coming! 🎉❤
Thank you! That's so kind! :)
