    The White Strips version sounds good but it is just too weird with a man singing about losing his husband to a woman. Dolly Parton's version is better because the lyrics make sense, If two gay guy's get married, they aren't likely to have a Jolene problem. Both version's sound good but a big part of the song are the lyrics about a wife worried about a woman stealing her husband. Sometime you can adapt a song by a women so a man can sign it and make sense but this isn't one of them.

    There's a scene in the 1990s film Goodfellas where Karen creeps up on her sleeping husband Henry with a Buretta gun after she finds out about his infidelity. Jessie is basically referencing that scene in this song and she's incredible using words, emotions, iconic scenes from films to reflect the soul of the song.

    This is art pop, synthpop, electropop with a little bit of pop rap and afrobeats. It's simmilar to Billie Eilish, because both of them make art pop, but Aurora is more folky and Billie is more R&B.

    Thank you to all the Pink Floyd fans who suggested titles for this RARE STUDIO BOOTLEG from around '69. This song 1.was about 6 minutes long and sung by I believe Roger 2.. It featured an upbeat renissance-like organ melody which sounded like a psychedelic WALTZ and a trippy middle 8 guitar solo with wah-wah and distorted sounds 3. The lyrics were of one's reminiscing of a young love with movements captured in time and still flowing in his mind This song wasn't "summer of '68". Maybe it was UNTITLED but it was UP-TEMPO and too NICE not to have a title. If any Floyd experts want to tackle this hard to find song's title,please share your thoughts with me. Thanks ❤

      Part of the song's OUTRO can be heard around the 8 minute mark of the video; PINK FLOYD ODDS AND ALLSORTS,1968-1977. Titles of the song in its entirety include: "give birth to a smile","Roger's boogie" and "reincarnation of a flower child". I will be hearing them in a few. Any more title ideas are very welcomed!🙂

    I don't know if you'll see this 3 years later but I have to comment on this. Roger Waters has said some very anti-semitic things and David Draiman can't stand him. Ironic that you are appreciating David with a Roger Waters banner in the background.

  • @Tamz60
    @Tamz60 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You are doing this exactly, right! I've always thought that the people that comment on this song should hear Simon and Garfunkel's first. Because they need to judge them against each other. David's voice is beyond...

    Ok u picked an awful version of the song. The harmonics of the studio song make sense their voices combined. U were way off there. Love the Disturbed version.

    Each version appropriate for their respective times: S&G pleaded with flower children. That didn't work. So Disturbed is belting out to today's narcissistic ideologs, many of them flower children of the 60's.

  • @philipmay6003

    It is easy for me to say that the Disturbed version is better than the original, however, it is really not a fair comparison to make. What this comparison truly reflects is the amazing amount of musical, performance, production and technical evolution that has taken place over the last fifty years. Simon and Garfunkel are a proud part of that evolution and did their parts in their time to prepare the way for genres which led to genres which led to the genre in which Disturbed creates its brilliant performances today. One can only hope that someone fifty years in the future covering one of Disturbed's timeless creations will do so with the same amount of admiration, love and respect that David Draiman and Disturbed have shown to Simon and Garfunkel's song.
