you forgot to mention to your friend that Su was 16 years old and the other two were 14. it is still amazing how young girls can control a crowd like this and get them to do what they want. found Babymetal in late 2013 and cant go a day without listening to them. i finally got to see them live at the Forum in 2019 and loved it. this is a band you have to see live and to hear live to truly appreciate them. the production is unlike any other band out there. and you cant help but feel happy after listening to them.
I myself just discovered them at the end of 2019. I wish I had been there in the earlier years. Honestly at first I was like what the hell is this. But then a minute later I was absolutely in love. They truly do bring something that's been missing from metal. I also have pretty much not even listened to anything else except them since I discovered them.
There it is.... "The Babymetal Smile". It's inevitable. You cannot watch Babymetal without developing that smile. Even if you don't like Babymetal, that smile is going to happen. It's what makes Babymetal special.
I'm sure the Babymetal fans will be recommending BxMxC for your friend to react to, but I think iine is a nice way to go.... It's such a mind blowing mix.... Should it work? Not really... Does it work? Yes.....Its such a fun WTF experience..... Hope you and your friend does a few more.

Just want to correct and fully explain that BABYMETAL are not/were never a marketing experiment. Yes, they were formed as an experimental group by their producer Kobayashi Kei (Koba-metal), but it was solely a passion project. In fact, the parent company, Amuse, had no interest in BABYMETAL from the start and gave them absolutely no extra budget. The only (very small) budget they did have was due to them being a part of the Idol Group Sakura Gakuin(SG), and that barely amounted to them having time slots in the SG live shows and equipment expenses. They literally had to borrow their first outfits for the live shows. It wasn't until BABYMETAL started garnering attention and gaining bigger and bigger crowds that Amuse finally decide to back them up and give them funding. For the first 2 years or so, they didn't even have a live band. And it's not their live band that makes the music. A very dedicated team of writers and composers, and a very strict Koba-metal, are they people behind the music. Now, this doesn't mean that the live band, Kamiband, isn't important, as all fan will tell you they very much are! But, I just wanted to clarify and give you the right information, as some BABYMETAL fan are overly zealous and the "marketing experiment" remark could just set them off. You even said it later (after your friends comment) that you're glad he realized they they weren't just a cash grab. This is true! Even if the girls themselves aren't the ones making the music, real love goes into every aspect of their songs, and the Kamiband and girls MAKE the music lol! Kitsune dao! \m/
Their trip to Singapore for a Anime festival performance was a major wake up call to Amuse and the Japanese media. Their performance was a smashing success and they drew large crowds for autographs and photos. And it put them on TV shows, who weren't sure how to explain 15 and 14 yo girls being major idols.
I'm turning 50 years old later this year, been a hiphop/rap head since the EARLY 80's, and I started listening to metal because of BABYMETAL. I now listen to BABYMETAL every day! 🦊🤘

So it's very relatable your first time with this song and the girls first time at a concert. Babymetal knows how to put on a show. They got some epic songs and Epic shows to go along with them. There are 3 songs with Rap in it in some way or another... you could try to make him react in order to these Music Videos: "Iine" (that's a capital i, not an L :D ), "Pa-Pa-Ya", and their latest one "BxMxC"!

Hello. Good reaction from your friend. It's funny when he said that it shows that there is money in the organization of the concert. This was the first concert where they could afford to have a live band in 5 songs. The rest of the songs and previous concerts had actors playing musicians and the music was prerecorded (something very common in idol bands, where the center of attention is them or them and their dances). From this concert, the Kamiband became the official band for all live events. I think our new friend would like to react to BxMxC. I think that when the song is in a language that you do not understand, the song becomes one more instrument and you value it as such, since the depth of the lyrics cannot reach you
There were a few more Babybones appearances after this in 2013 and 2014, such as 'LIVE IN SINGAPORE' (their first solo show overseas), some TV appearances, and their "Two Man Show" with ChthoniC in Taiwan. The Kami Band were introduced back in October 2012 at 'Legend I' with a two song encore of 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!' and 'Ijime Dame Zettai'. Folks are often surprised how long the Baby Bones and Kami Band overlapped.
