Hi! My name is Amelie - Photography is my passion and I'm amazed where it takes me and who I have the chance to get to know through photography! I'd like to share these experiences and stories here in form of videos to encourage people to be curious about each other, ask questions and enjoy exploring anything out of their comfort zone.
I´ll be sharing my travel stories, my technical knowledge and behind the scenes of my projects every 2-3 weeks on Sunday mornings. Enjoy watching!
I'm a documentary photographer based in Berlin. Most of my photographs are made mainly with small and large-format analogue black and white film as well as digital film. I am curious about the stories of people, especially women, their interpersonal relationships and their relationship to landscape and nature. I tell stories of displacement and the courage to make new places home.

How to create a photo book?
Hi! This one is all about how to create a photo book: how do we start and finalise our idea. I also talk about my experience doing my photo book "cocoon" as well as give insights in the costs of making such a book.

I tried doing a short... but I can't rush myself... How it looked like when I washed my clothes while being in Ghana. The first few times I struggled - I didn't have the technique nor the strength. I'm in Thailand and I use a similar technique. I don't worry about temperature. Just one question.... Is a single wash enough before fixing? I wash 5 times and then 5 mins in running tap water but then water is overly plentiful here. Is your wash protocol due to being in Ghana or do you do that everywhere?
Hi! Thank you for your question! I always do just a single wash before fixing. Of course water was sometimes limited where I've been in Ghana, so a single wash was more convenient but even in Germany I only wash it once. It still allows me to reuse my fixer multiple times (at least 15x) and over a period of at least 3 months (my fixer´s dilution: 1:9). I admit most times I'm lazy, so I just leave the fixer for 15 min. and shake the tank just in the beginning and in the end.... Later after the developer and fixer, I rinse it about 5 times: shaking it once and then 5x, 10x, 20x and in the end I rinse it with distilled water. Hope that helps :).

Good informative video, just a few suggestions that I think might help your views, - You could probably shorten this short enough to be a short, so much better for views but lower subscription rate (although higher for specific audience videos like this) - try to sound really energetic and interested in what you're doing - music would help fill the silence
