Sooooo, I went to Helsinki for the very first time and it was fabulous! I met new people, saw some great photography and art, spent an insane amount on vegan cinnamon rolls and traveled 23h in a bus! Here's a list of museums and galleries I've visited: - ATENEUM: the oldest and largest collection of art in Helsinki ateneum.fi - KIASMA - Museum of Contemporary Art kiasma.fi - AMOS REX: Experimen...
How to: develop film in a very hot environment - stand development with Rodinal!
มุมมอง 6111 หลายเดือนก่อน
In Ghana I was really concerned about developing my black and white film. I was used to measure the temperature precisely to 20 degrees to know exactly how long I need to develop my film and how dare you develop it any longer! Well, in Ghana to achieve 20 degrees it would be funny or close to impossible to try. So, Nii Obodai, founder of Nuku Studio, suggested me to do the stand development wit...
A small, small Ghana series - Coming back "home" from Ghana to Germany
มุมมอง 44ปีที่แล้ว
"It's easier to go than to come back." This video will conclude my small, small Ghana series. I´ll be talking about what it felt like to come back "home" from Ghana to Germany. I experienced again a small culture shock although I came back to my supposedly familiar environment. My definition of home is in constant flux as smart people would describe it... In flux meaning that it's always changi...

Washing day! - German photographer washing her clothes in Ghana
มุมมอง 131ปีที่แล้ว
I tried doing a short... but I can't rush myself... How it looked like when I washed my clothes while being in Ghana. The first few times I struggled - I didn't have the technique nor the strength. I was told that I wash like a child and when I saw a child wash its clothes I actually had to admit it's true :D. Fibi helped me most of the times by washing my trousers and white things. These were ...

A small, small Ghana series - a German being Vegan in Ghana
มุมมอง 80ปีที่แล้ว
Being vegan and going to a different country can be challenging! Here's my experience how I "survived" as a vegan in a very not vegan loving country: Ghana. Although Ghana might not be known for many vegan dishes, most meals can be easily converted into being meatless. Once you figured that out, you're good to go and you will enjoy delicious, healthy and nutritious food! So, enjoy :D. Music by ...

A small, small Ghana series - culture shock: the 2nd video of my little Ghana series in which I talk about my experience living in Ghana, a country I've never been too and how I dealt with my personal as well as health struggles. I'm in Thailand and I use a similar technique. I don't worry about temperature. Just one question.... Is a single wash enough before fixing? I wash 5 times and then 5 mins in running tap water but then water is overly plentiful here. Is your wash protocol due to being in Ghana or do you do that everywhere?

    • @ameliekoerbs

Hi! Thank you for your question! I always do just a single wash before fixing. Of course water was sometimes limited where I've been in Ghana, so a single wash was more convenient but even in Germany I only wash it once. It still allows me to reuse my fixer multiple times (at least 15x) and over a period of at least 3 months (my fixer´s dilution: 1:9). I admit most times I'm lazy, so I just leave the fixer for 15 min. and shake the tank just in the beginning and in the end.... Later after the developer and fixer, I rinse it about 5 times: shaking it once and then 5x, 10x, 20x and in the end I rinse it with distilled water. Hope that helps :).

Good informative video, just a few suggestions that I think might help your views, - You could probably shorten this short enough to be a short, so much better for views but lower subscription rate (although higher for specific audience videos like this) - try to sound really energetic and interested in what you're doing - music would help fill the silence
