I only tried two of the about face paints but both were sooooo patchy I returned them

I have what I'd call a milky bronzer. It's from PUR their 4 in 1 bronzer. It's great for fair skin. It came out years ago and don't think many people ever talk about it. Raw Beauty Kristi did a review back when. It's a really really beautiful bronzer for fair and light skin. I'm neutral tone and it's perfect for me 😊

I feel similar about panning. I'm glad I tried it and am still having multiple products I'm focusing on but wo putting any real pressure on myself. I follow a few channels where people are just likeable and nice to listen to that I can relate too.

I feel about the word, “squirt”, the way most people feel about the word, “moist”. So, hearing you describe the primer was an interesting experience 😅

I can’t remember the reasoning behind it but a Japanese friend told me that Japanese businesses don’t invest much money in e commerce websites etc. the websites are usually outdated and hard to navigate and the imagery is limited. Uniqlo is a good example.

I adore Suqqu! Suqqu is my Surratt. I’ve hit multiple pans in the eyeshadow quads and melting powder blushes. And I’ve finished quite a few lip wraps and moisture glaze balms

I think this look is eating tho. I love the yellowy blush and yellowy lip with the purples on the eyes. Nice contrasting colors but make them watercolor. I think it gives color theory but nuanced

I just want all of their blush. Everything else, meh. Just the blushes including the new cream one. Suqqu blushes, Surratt, and the new Nars formula(except for their sexually explicit names that are not even good colour descriptors) If Lisa Eldridge if she ever comes out with a powder blush I'm sure it will be lovely.

Also re: those goth grrl rainbow stunners---shoe goo is a good rubbery texture designed for shoe repair. You might need to do it a couple times before they stay glued, but you can start small and away from the edge.

I wonder if you'd appreciate Capezio dance sneakers! No idea what you'd need for your class, but the dance sneaks have a split sole, and to my recollection good support all around each the ball and heel of the foot.

I am SO glad you did this! I've been so intrigued by suqqu for years due to Michelle & also Alicia Archer! Something told me it just isn't for me & you confirmed this. 🤌

I traveled to Tokyo years ago and intend to buy some Suqqu there. Each BA would only serve 1 customer at a time, I need to take a slot and wait for an hour to be served. And it was cheaper to get them from Selfridges vs in Tokyo, I ended up not getting anything. Fast forward to last year I finally got 2 limited edition blushes and a generous sample of the foundation from Selfridges. You are spot on that Surratt is almost what Suqqu inspired to be but not quite there yet. One of the blushes is almost an exact dupe of my Elf blush, and my Armani foundation performs so much better.

I got to swatch stuff in London last week and only bought one quad so far but almost bought more lol

I absolutely love J beauty/ Suqqu - I love that you’re reviewing the brand! It’s definitely a “style” but it absolutely fits my preferences. Also it makes me go out of my comfort zone - they often launch quads that look so random, but then actually used together ends up looking stunning. I will say that each palette is different with different finishes, even among limited editions. The ones around Christmas tend to be more sparkly. I also absolutely love Addiction Tokyo (I think more easily accessible in the US), Lunasol and Clé de Peau (ouch!). I’m in Europe and prefer to order through Fude Japan. She’s a personal shopper and absolutely fantastic.

That blush tho 😍 😮 Such an interesting beautiful color. Love eyeshadows as well! I havent bought much luxury makeup, but i do think that part of the luxury experience should be the ease of purchasing. Idk i think if i was spending that much on a concealor i would want to feel reasonably sure i was buying the right shade. I suppose everyone has their own threshhold for uncertainty, but i dont think id want to chance it.

Also, I use inexpensive Japanese and Korean sunscreens. Don’t pay for premium sunscreen brands when the Korean ones especially are so good and wear invisibly under makeup.

I don’t think this brand is for me. On the other hand, I did pick up the Bella Beaute smoky glam palette, and it’s a winner. 😊

This answered so many questions I had about products I've been eyeing for a while (especially the powder)!! Also as far as I know, SUQQU doesn't sell their products directly online even in Japan, they only link to retailers (online or brick and mortar) on their website. Since they are categorized as a higher end (department store) cosmetics, their stuff is mostly available through those only.

Oh my god I had the craziest experience buying suqqu through selfridges 😅😅 I asked if the tax and customs were included. The rep said yes. Yet I had to pay VAT. I got back to the rep who said, 'Yes, that's right, taxes are included.' I said... but I had to pay them. The rep responded, 'Yes, because they are included' 😵‍💫🤯 😂 Long story short, I got the VAT back, I got to teach someone some new terms in English 😅 and I never purchased from them again.

1) The thing with the internet is everyone THINKS they should share their opinions when in reality sometimes it should just stay an inside your head thought or something you say to your friends. I'm 45 with three almost- grown kids. I look back on my life and wonder what could have been if I took a different path. I realized a while back that every path you ever take is necessarily keeping you from taking a thousand others. For example, if you had dated in your teens, that would necessarily mean that you wouldn't have spent as much time alone in your teens. What effect would that have on you now? We can't know. Maybe you learned to be comfortable with yourself during that teen alone time. Maybe you avoided some shitty or even abusive relationships. Maybe it would have been great and would have taught you a lot about dating as an adult. It's weird and interesting to imagine alternative lives, alternative selves. I appreciate you articulating this idea.

Could the fourth bronzer have been the phytosurgence? I know you mentioned reaching out to try the updated formula in the declutter.

As a cool toned girlie i was not about the caramel tones, but this iteration is gorge 😍 Im 33 so i know what you mean about your twenties and teens really being over and you dont ever get to redo them. Its seems like it should be obvious but i think it can catch you by surprise when you really internalize it. Your sneeze story was too real! I was at work and someone sprayed a fragrance and i had a full on grandpa level sneezing fit. It was was so bad 😂

I don't know about Mecari, but yes, on eBay you can save searches, and then get notified by email or text if products with those search terms are listed. It's so handy! One of mine is an old Chanel discontinued powder (sobs!)

Totally agree on your points re panning content (as in thats how I feel too. I think its great this content is there tho and it def has helped my mindset on things like 'I really should use up the base products I have and love before buying a shiny new one!). I really enjoy this type of video where you put makeup on and talk about stuff in the space (or not!). I see lots of comments on a few people I watch from people who say they don't even wear makeup but love to watch that persons channel because they find it soothing/funny etc, and I always think thats so lovely
