My wife and I bought a 3br2ba on 5 acres for $50k. It took a lot of work and additional investment, but it served us well for 15 years, and now it's owned by another couple who are continuing with their own upgrades and who bought it from me on a contract for deed. I've been essentially acting as the bank for them and have been getting paid every month like clockwork since late 2013, which is when I retired. I will continue to get paid each month until early 2027. This is income when I needed it the most, during the first 13+ years of my retirement. That house has been the gift that keeps giving. It was a blessing to my wife and I, and now it's a blessing to this new couple.

The 229,500 House I have seen in person, it looks nice but because of the location someone needs to be retired or work from home. The nearest gas station is 10 miles away and real grocery shopping beyond the dollar store is at least 30 miles depending where you want to shop.

Interesting properties! It's cool seeing the 1900 home as it's the same age as our house. We renovated our century home without going deep into debt. It's very doable if you are a creative thinker with carpentry skills.

Those look like great deals for somebody who has vision, talent and time to breathe life into these beautiful older homes. New tract homes do not have the character of these older homes you showcase. I gasped at some of the window casings, baseboards and floors - only find these features in multi-million dollar homes new build. I'd imagine some of the wood can't be found on the market any longer. Love your videos!

It would be good to have a wood burning stove to use to heat house too!

I can move anywhere, as I am in middle GA since June 2022 from Florida (Miami, Hallandale, Hollywood, Lehigh Acres). I've not traveled to many places but looking in E TN, the mountains are beautiful. Living here in GA I have found I want to be on flat ground because I trip all the time on the property I am in now. I fall in holes, my husband has as well, we even flipped our ride on lawnmower and now just pay to have it cut, it's not cheap! I need good internet since I work from home, and I think these properties need to list the available services with these properties as a rule. Along with opening doors, taking better pics all around, and shutting the lid people! LOL I love that while I watch your videos I am thinking what you then say. Your my people! I would buy the last property, live in the barndominium, and build a house on the property. Then, turn the living quarters of the barndo into guest quarters because I don't like sharing my space.

Gainesboro is a quaint little self contained town in middle Tn. One benefit is it is only about half and hour to Cookeville, one of Tennessee's larger cities and commercial areas.
