Did you check the float height after fitting new float needle that may have shifted the height. I am not sure about the r6 you will need to check the manual but some carbs you can check with a rule to measure the height and some you need a piece of tubing connected to the carb to measure fuel height in the bowl from the out side. When you look at carbs there is not a lot of them but everything needs to be correct to get the best out them. But your going well nay fear

can we replace 400x handel bar to speed 400?

I have recently bought a vevor bike tent to cover my speed 400 it’s a great job keeps the bike completely covered with easy access something like that for the R6 might be handy just a quick up and over and it’s all snug. I have been rebuilding a 1983 Suzuki rg250 gamma over the last couple of years completely refurbished everything engine,brakes ,plastic,paintwork I have no garage like your self and found a work mate table and a 2nd hand record 74 vice indispensable Stops my back and knees falling apart with so much bending over and kneeling

That was indeed an RC30. It's actually one of the 1st of the production line. The Honda factory painted it in Coca Cola colours n it was used as the Promo Bike at The Suzka 8HR Race in Japan in 1987. Tis cool to see in on TH-cam.

Loud exhaust, tail tidy with no red reflector yet still got the orange reflectors on the front forks. They're the first thing to rip off at the dealership and use their bin.

The scrambler looks great with tasteful mods i have a few mods to do on mine but will be keeping mine also.The r6 will become a classic i wish i never parted with my gsxr 1000 a couple of years ago

Thank you for this video. I have the same bike in Thailand. The road speeds here are generally slower than Europe, so the gearing makes a bit more sense. However I'm also keen to make this adjustment, along with more agressive brake pads on the front. You mention in your video that the Speed 400 already has a 15 tooth front sproket, is this the sproket that needs to be swapped in on the Scrambler 400x then? My dealership in Bangkok says there isn't the aftermarket part available yet to swap 14 --> 15.

THANK YOU FOR REPORTING THIS , THE DEALER CONFIRMED APPROX 5% OF THEM HAD AN ISSUE AND TRIUMPH WILL REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ENGINE IF IT OCCURS ON MINE, SO NOW I KEEPING EYE ON IT

Did you also change the front sprocket to the 16 teeth one ? If you need a calm ride with longer gearing you should definitely swap it.

Great update and looks like a good result.I've now fitted my Rally Raid wheels so doing your aux light upgrade next and then high fender.

I’d certainly ask to see the evidence of this just for your own satisfaction. It wouldn’t be the first time customers were told something that may not be 100% correct. Not saying that this is one of these cases but it’s always better to know exactly what’s going on

Only way to find out what's going on is a total engine strip down. If it were me and the bike was still under warrenty, I would demand another brand new engine or a full refund.
