You are not a videomaker, for that reason you say that.

You’re right. I think one of the overlooked reasons is that the a7iv can shoot iso 3200 with a lower noise profile than the fx3. That 800 - 12800 split is pretty extreme where the 800 - 3200 is more reasonable

Size of the sensor is the same. Such mistakes in so short video means that no one is taking seriously what you are saying…

You’re reaching dude. I own the A7IV, the FX-3 and the FX-6. The FX-3 is designed exclusively for video. The A7IV is a hybrid photography/video camera and while it is good, I have used it as a C Cam on 8-10 hour corporate video shoots. Out of the FX-3 with the internal cooling fan which camera do you think overheated? You guessed it the hybrid photo/video camera. Also, the FX-3 has a full frame sensor just like the A7IV does. You might’ve been confusing the sensor with the FX-30 APS-C sensor.

i had this set up too once, it's a very sharp and great combo, but wait you get ahold of of 35 1.4 GM, it's a whole different world

I have both. I love the reasons you gave and it’s no debate that the a7iv is better in those things but I still prefer the FX3 because of the fan, lut support, 12.8k native iso, and uncropped 4k 120

they're both ff sensors so they're the exact same size, only difference is the megapixel count which allows super35 mode on the a74. I personally think fx3 has the advantage because of its rolling shutter performance. The a74 is pretty bad in that regard. Also colors just look so good on that fx3 sensor...

Thanks for this video! and for raising awareness that it's pointless to quickly set the camera vertically and go off to conquer the world. When the engines are on, it might still work, but it's at the expense of the engines that have to deal with that resistance, and it probably drains the battery faster.

Never use the standard camera app with any add-on lens. It isn't made for that. ProCamera for stills and BlackMagic Camera or Apple's Final Cut Camera app or Moment's app for video are much better choices. With respect to Sandmarc, I've had good results with them for both stills and video. Your viewers will need to know that for the newer phones, it is best to have the newer version of the wide and telephoto lenses, and it can be hard to tell them apart, as Sandmarc didn't rename them like Moment did with their shift to their "T" versions. The newer lenses have a 43mm filter mount and the old ones have a 40.6mm filter mount. The newer wide and telephoto work better than the older ones due to tweaked optics. As far as I know, the anamorphic lenses just got the new filter size and no change in optics. Sandmarc's filters are good. While they may not benefit every use case, they benefit many.

This video would have been useful 30 years ago when I was actually still buying film. Today this video is just a waste of time.

Fewer megapixels are better for smaller sensors, and more megapixels worsen low-light performance, that is a basic principle of photography.

does it handle heavy lenses well though

smallrig collar already has an arca-swiss mount, and yes I know, DJI plate doesn't take regular arca-swiss. That's why you can go even lower if you get smallrig plate + smallrig collar.

I just wish they offered his version in the regular 15 Pro instead exclusively for the 15 Pro Max

i think the universal cage with the the bilateral handles is a better purchase. more room around the phone, gives you more options and you can use any case or go caseless.

It was good until you recommended shooting in H265 you're limiting yourself on the grading portion, if you're specifically filming on the iPhone 15 Pro Max it's most likely for the log footage

Did you change to PAL or keep it as NTS? As i know you dont get 120fps in PAL...how did you deal with that?

Just checking did you know the 120mm in video and photo is a x5 crop of the 24mm? Try covering the other two lenses in video mode and tell us if the 120mm lens coms on…
